That three-way conversation between Simon, Edbert, and Arn was *epic*. It was meaningful and made complete sense with the characters. You could see them all grow as individuals. You are a top-notch artist, sir!
i like the idea of edbert being semi-aware of the games meta mechanics. characters with a supernatural element leaning on the fourth wall is a fiction staple.
That was great when the Irish warrior interrupted Simon and the bounty hunter at 11:07 to clarify that it was, in fact, he who came to the rescue initially. That was a nice touch, and I appreciate your adherence to continuity with well-timed humor.
First a Tidal wave, then, having escaped that catastrophe, a severe rainstorm followed by a dangerous flash-flood? What will be their next water hazard?
Man this show is great. I’m not a binge watch type person but here I am. Really glad I found this Glad to see Arne joining the team. I’ve always kinda liked him.
Look, Trevor, I'm a complete newb to pen and paper rpgs, and I found your channel looking for an example of an Ironsworn campaign to eventually play by myself, and for some reason I started off with season 1, and I'm 12 episodes in now, and there's no escape, and I'm learning Savage Worlds instead. Nevermind, just enjoy the journey :)
I love how Cheryl(sp?) is basically part of the team, two dudes and their ghost buddy fighting necrotic powers, what wacky shenanigans shall they go through next?
Over a half-an-hour episode! Love it. And the cliffhangers are working, as I'm always needing to know what'll happen next. I'm still so impressed how well the story is coming together with just random rolls. Arn's arc of slowly gaining more and more trust in Simon until he eventually cracks and admits he was in the wrong felt like it had been in planned since the very first episode, but of course if the die had rolled differently any number of times, he'd've had a totally different one.
Man, I can't stop watching! Learning so much about Savage Worlds, as well as how to create a compelling story! Thanks Trevor! I'm working my way thru Season 1 and looking forward to the Ironsworn version of Season 2.
Your chaos factor interrupts/altered scenes were SUPER helpful to me. I've been struggling with that aspect of Mythic since I switched from Conjectural GM Emulator. It's enjoyable to watch your thought process and how fluidly you switch from logic or inspiration to the random tables. Every now and then I'll hit an altered scene and wrack my brain trying to figure out how to do so, or how to apply the random focus to the particular scene. Thanks for doing this! I look forward to every Monday for the new episode!
I watched the second season before the first season. I am happy to see how Arn was created from an extra to a full fledged character. I can say that this show is my favorite show of all time. It has everything I want. The best gm and player, amazing quality and editing and rpg. I wish you keep doing this forever. I wish someday I will be able to financially support the show as well.
I am watching more than an year later, and you are now my best inspiration to start writing and creating! Thank you very much for sharing this journey and story!
I liked the beginning of this episode with the comments on the campaign notes and level ups. Thank you for the overview, nice variation to do once in a while.
God that was an amazing three way conversation, the least action packed moment so far but very well needed and very appreciated from a storytelling perspective
Ha! Flash Flood! Nice. I think rather than try to attack them directly, Possessed Cherlyn would be smarter to try to lead Simon, Edbert and Arne into some sort of danger.
Oh man, I feel like that was a very good example of how to end a thread due to a random event roll! Despite it ending due to a random roll, it still felt satisfying, primarily because of how creative you are. I'll make sure to apply all that I'm learning here to my first campaign, and I'll definitely recommend this channel if someone ever asks me about solo roleplaying.
I love this so much. This show is my life right now, taking over every important or productive thought i once had or had the chance to think of. I'm almost losing my job, my wife is jealous of some Trevor or Simon and i got a few extra pounds. Please send help (not Simon. He sucks)
I’m curious to see what power could be in the temple! I know you’re months ahead of this but it’s still fun to make predictions and see if I was right. However, as Edbert said, things are randomly generated! haha!
Each episode keeps getting better and better! I really liked how you closed the thread. I know that interpreting the dice rolls can be hard at times, but each time I watch your episodes, every interpretation is just great.
I couldn’t help but smile at that flash flood bit. My name is Ian, so when I heard you say my name I perked up thinking you were actually speaking to me😂 (I know you weren’t really, but it still made me smile) I love your content Trevor. You’re skills are amazing. Please don’t stop.
Great episode! The dialog with Arn was genuinely touching. (Also, I'm not saying I ship him with Simon buuuuuut, yes I do). Cherilyn was taken over, omg, she was the sole purpose they survived this long XD I'm hyped.
Thank you for going over the active lists (particularly the threads). I'm getting ready to do my first solo into Savage Rifts and this will help me recognize my own potential threads that I have been thinking about but was too close to recognize as being. I'm glad I stumbled across your page, you've been entertaining and educating me on my lunch breaks for the last week or so.
I’ve been listening tot his over podcast while I drive but it’s fun to watch it on TH-cam when I have the chance (like today 😅) Thank you for doing this!! Makes me want to try savage worlds :)
These videos are so fun!! Also i had to look up who did the voice acting in Skyrim because i swear I heard Arne in that game! Clearly, your personality and imagination are the magic dust that makes this go. I'm seriously riveted!!
Thanks! Though I wasn’t in Skyrim (I didn’t join the Elder Scrolls franchise until the online stuff came out), I very much modeled Arn’s voice on that one Skyrim voice actor you’re talking about :)
What random event table are you using when you roll 55 and get "Close a thread"? Loving the story! From Hundatora to the Mexican standoff to this. Three bangers in a row!!!
Awesome as usual! I do have a question though. What's this thing about TH-cam rule changes you talked about? Where can I find the reference on it? Thanks!
@@MeMyselfandDieRPG That first link, he has another video discussing specific points of the new terms, including the "commercially viable" bit: th-cam.com/video/nfkem5e5Iqg/w-d-xo.html
I love the show, but... is a little bit of rules-lawyering allowed? This time about Mythic. Wouldn't the Flash Flood be, indeed, an interruption and not an alteration of the scene? The alteration would've been that the temple is not there anymore or something similar. But hey, your game and your interpretation. I like what you are doing, anyways.
It's all personal interpretation. I saw it as they were going to get to the temple unimpeded, but an altered scene meant that something gets in their way that isn't a brand new scene rolled with event subjects. The first thing that came to mind was a flash flood. That's the beauty of Mythic - no two GM's/players will interpret things exactly the same way, and as long as you're obeying the spirit of the rules, there are no "wrong" interpretations.
@@MeMyselfandDieRPG that is actually a "rule" of Mythic also. You should go with whatever comes to mind first. Thanks! Maybe we find out the cause of the flood later. I'll stay tuned...
The interplay between Simon and Arne. 🥹 I know I could easily skip ahead, but I'm calling it now, Manfred is the Big Bad responsible for Simon's parents going missing, and wants to stop Simon from uncovering the truth. Sure, it might be a bit cliche, but the mysterious polyhedron overlords might randomly decide that is the route the story goes. Guess I'll find out over the next few episodes. 😂

Amazing dialogue considering its 3 way improv. Top notch RP.
Yeah. Amongst many incredible moments of drama and suspense that was a gem!
That scene cemented my love for Simon as a hero.
“One might say randomly determined” = nearly choked on my lunch laughing 😂

"a bit... randomly determined..." "i don't know what you mean..." fucken lol! xD Keep up the random puns and fourth wall breaking Trevor. I love them!
You have really helped me with how to not get bogged down in altered scenes and overthinking. Brilliant use of fantastic systems. Keep up great work.
First a Tidal wave, then, having escaped that catastrophe, a severe rainstorm followed by a dangerous flash-flood? What will be their next water hazard?
Great work with Arn consolidating his grievances with Simon. Flash flood was dramatic, I expected Arn to die...having just sworn his service to Simon!
as a 12 old guy watching this i love it. DO MORE!
Man this show is great. I’m not a binge watch type person but here I am. Really glad I found this

Hanging on the edge of my seat from this series. Love how these random tables have been made into a very coherent story.

There is really nothing like this on youtube and there is so much room for interesting stories to be created by people using these systems.

"Cost Arne a Benny" should be a phrase similar to "cost an arm and a leg"
Right up there with "Five gold and a party" from Wil Wheaton's "Ashes of Valkana" show.

I love to use music in rpg settings. do you overlay your tracks when you edit or do you play your music in the background while you are playing
It’s all added in post production.
Question. Posses undead really shouldn't have worked on her seeing she is dead
Arne sounds like a Skyrim. Did you actually do their voices?
Nope. I didn’t voice anything in Skyrim until the multiplayer expansions. That said, Arne’s voice was heavily inspired by Skyrim!
22:30 did you said Simon and his group don’t have intelligence
Hmmmm... I have another TH-cam account. I will subscribe here to if that would help. Oops, did I spill the beans?
