      Fun stuff. I had a then-old Passport in my garage for a couple months maybe 10 years ago. Not mine but fun to ride and easy to work on. Since then I've often thought about scooping up one of the little Hondas for beer/ice cream/Taco-Tuesday runs. The Trail 125 might be the one.

      @@zelo533 the bike is light weight and nimble, so very responsive to your control. It doesn't have a clutch lever, and it won't stall, so perfect for riders who are tired of constant shifting in city traffic or total newbies. I have had my CT125 for about 2 months and 1900 miles. I do all shifting by pushing down on both ends of the shifter. Sounds funny but try it! The tethered helmet holder is used by putting one loop over the rod and threading the other loop through one of the D rings on your helmet and then over the rod. I put a cooler on my rack that is approx. the same size as the rack. I can haul quite a groceries and keep the heat out and the cool in! I have a white strobe on the front and red rear. In Australia the postie bike is surrounded by a special halo, it falls into that extra impressive category of “the bike that should not capable of doing that, but it does anyway”. It’s like the honey badger of motorbikes. Posties take them off urban jumps and beat on them daily with a load of mail strapped on the back, then after running up anywhere between 30-50,000 kms, they go to auction and some yobbo nutcase gets it, puts on some skinny knobby tyres and rides it to the arse end of Australia and back. Slowly. Can’t wait to put one in the carport with a milk crate on that rack.

    having grew up riding a trail 90 as a teenager, the defining thing on that bike was the low range. living in a heavily wooded and mountainous area, i used the low range and auto-clutch to beat my way up mountainsides and through trees where no dirt bike could follow... but... i dont see low range on this :(. kinda misses the mark for what i used to ride.

  • @TheImtoomuch
    @TheImtoomuch 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @2:32 Air!! That was huge for that weak engine and cushion soft suspension. Hilarious! That’s especially true since this bike has less rear suspension travel which is extremely odd since it’s the off-road model. It is, after all, called the Trail! Head scratcher right there. I guess that’s the price you have to pay for 5” larger wheels compared to the Grom and Monkey. Another good review, Mr. Courts! I have as much fun on my Grom as I do on bigger bikes. I highly, highly recommend a Honda MiniMoto.

    I just bought the 2022 model. I'm 5 10 and 210 lbs. And my complaints are the seat not being far back enough and the bar being under my ass. I feel like I'm right up on the handle bars. The front end is very light and twitchy. I wish it would fit me better cause I've always loved the look. Trying hard to be smaller which I think it's better suited for. As far as the power of it no problem even for me. Just saying.

More power to actually do highway , 6 gears , liquid cooled , passenger suitable , touring suitable , off road suitable , snow suitable , all with 85mpg , with a 10L tank you can expect between 300-400kms , cheaper than the grom and this , you can find one at $1000 low kms.

      Unfortunately, most Alaskan trails are not motorcycle friendly. I'd like to see the return of machines like the "fat cat," mostly made from spare parts after the 1986 ban on new three-wheeler sales, but that's unlikely. Also, the Trail is road legal, the fat tire bikes were not.

The Trail 125 is only 18 pounds lighter than the TW200 (surprising) and the Tw has 5 gears, better suspension (but not great), looks better with its fat tires, can carry a passenger, has a 200cc engine, is more off road and on road capable, has lots of aftermarket parts and sells for $4700 new in the US. For $3900 you could buy a nearly new TW200 here.
