I tried the demo of Bayonetta 2 and I could not get into it. It felt like a button masher where you had to keep dodging to make boss fights beatable. I agree with IGN's #1 until BOTW comes out.

Chris Taylor It had a bad CPU that it wasn't stronger than the PS3 and Xbox 360's CPU. That is why 3rd party developers ignored the Wii U. It still had good games though.
This video made me realise just how good Wii U is, I've been playing Xbox one and PS4 so much more but I haven't had half the fun I had playing my Wii U. Excuse me, I'm going to play some Splatoon.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree. Though, trying to find what exactly is when say that Mario Maker is a little difficult. I mean, would you place Mario Kart 8 at number one? I'm not saying it shouldn't be there. I'm just saying this choice is harder than it looks.

I think it's funny that Bayonetta outscored Mario Maker and most of the other games placed above it in IGN reviews. It just shows how much integrity IGN really has when it comes to their scoring.

It is a niche game, but if you look at the core mechanics you have a solid turn based combat system, the player has a few builds to work the characters towards as they like, a good sound track, and enough fanservice to both sides smt/fe to keep them happy. I don't think they ruined any of the fe characters, and I am still a bit dissapointed that we didn't get the smt characters we expected from the original pitch, but the end result was a fun rpg lite with enough depth for those who wanted it.

Dr. Drinkling - I was of the same persuasion, until I was met with the challenge of (ahem) procuring Wii U games. For the ones I'm interested in I would need both the console and physical game just to be able to dump said game to storage, and that's only worth it if Cemu can run the thing at full speed on my modest PC.
I am really glad Pokkén Tournament at least made it on the list. I say this all the time: it's been a dream of mine for Nintendo to release a Pokémon game where battles happen in real time like in the animé.

Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, and Smash 4 are enough reason alone to get a Wii U. Who'da thunk it'd be my most played console this generation thus far? I didn't think it would. But my PS4 still gathers dust as I continue to play Splatoon all the time.

I think when doing a nintendo top ten, the major third party games shouldn't be on it. Minecraft and LEGO Star Wars seem so weird to be on a top Wii U Games list. Especially at Number 7
Although the Wii U was a failure in sales no one can argue it still gave us a solid lineup of games during it's life although this list could've included Wonderful 101. Hoping for Nintendo Switch to have an even more solid 1st party and 3rd party lineup
It's crazy how so many of the best games on the Wii U were 2.5D platformers, remakes or downloadable cross-platform titles. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I do hope we get more interesting and diverse experiences on the Switch.

I love how hardly any of these games make great use of the unique second screen experience this console had to offer. It makes it feel better that the Nintendo Switch will be omitting this feature entirely.
I wish they had only exclusive Wii U games. In my opinion Hyrule Warriors, Wonderful 101, Lego City Undercover, Project Zero V and ZombiU deserves to be on the list. Some games could have changed some positions.

I have A LOT OF THINGS I wanna get off my chest (Cm Punk reference) First off, why in God's name is Bayonetta, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and Splatoon so low? Splatoon is an amazing game as well as very creative. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is also to be reckoned with considering it is so good in every way. Graphics, music, (THNX DAVID WISE) levels, boss battles, etc. Bayonetta I haven't got around to but it looks dayum good to me. My 2nd problem is overhyping the hell out of the Mario Kart series. I don't understand how every other top 10 video has Mario Kart in top 3 when Super Smash bros 4, Splatoon, and Mario Maker exist. I love MK8 as much as the next guy but tune it down ok. 3rd problem, before you make a list like this, maybe play these games ALL the way through. If ya did, I know for a God damn fact Pikmin 3 would be higher on the list. VERY LAST THING: WHY IN GODS NAME IS MINECRAFT #7 *drops mic*
So many platformers, so many Mario titles, and both Legend of Zelda remakes... This is great if you're a fan of these titles, but there isn't a whole lot of variety in this list.
willjohnboy splatoon is more recent with more replay value, with a sequel pretty much confirmed at this point. Bayo is to low yes, but not better than splatoon.
Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD are the best Wii U games IMO.
Not a bad list because all these games are good but damn you could've added Tokyo mirage sessions in there. Hell everybody knows about new super Mario and luigi u. The Mario part was omitted. I think it should've at least made the list. I side with other people that have said that Tokyo mirage sessions will be underrated and pretty much a forgotten game. It's not a huge open world game like xenoblade but it is very in depth and one of the best RPGs I've played in a while. I thought I would hate it at first but it's definitely worth playing

Although the Wii U was a failure in sales no one can argue it still gave us a solid lineup of games during it's life although this list could've included Wonderful 101. Hoping for Nintendo Switch to have an even more solid 1st party and 3rd party lineup

It's crazy how so many of the best games on the Wii U were 2.5D platformers, remakes or downloadable cross-platform titles. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but I do hope we get more interesting and diverse experiences on the Switch.

I love how hardly any of these games make great use of the unique second screen experience this console had to offer. It makes it feel better that the Nintendo Switch will be omitting this feature entirely.

First off, why in God's name is Bayonetta, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and Splatoon so low?
Splatoon is an amazing game as well as very creative.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is also to be reckoned with considering it is so good in every way. Graphics, music, (THNX DAVID WISE) levels, boss battles, etc.
Bayonetta I haven't got around to but it looks dayum good to me.
My 2nd problem is overhyping the hell out of the Mario Kart series. I don't understand how every other top 10 video has Mario Kart in top 3 when Super Smash bros 4, Splatoon, and Mario Maker exist. I love MK8 as much as the next guy but tune it down ok.
3rd problem, before you make a list like this, maybe play these games ALL the way through. If ya did, I know for a God damn fact Pikmin 3 would be higher on the list.

So many platformers, so many Mario titles, and both Legend of Zelda remakes... This is great if you're a fan of these titles, but there isn't a whole lot of variety in this list.

I like Bayonetta a lot. It's a great game, but I do think Splatoon deserved its spot.
willjohnboy splatoon is more recent with more replay value, with a sequel pretty much confirmed at this point. Bayo is to low yes, but not better than splatoon.

Not a bad list because all these games are good but damn you could've added Tokyo mirage sessions in there. Hell everybody knows about new super Mario and luigi u. The Mario part was omitted. I think it should've at least made the list. I side with other people that have said that Tokyo mirage sessions will be underrated and pretty much a forgotten game. It's not a huge open world game like xenoblade but it is very in depth and one of the best RPGs I've played in a while. I thought I would hate it at first but it's definitely worth playing
