A beautiful area I would love to live in, yet by the cost I am more likely to get into heaven first.

that is almost 500k per room before you start with the necessary renovations.
Going to need $400-500 per night for a room to break even at that price.

Naw, just need enough money to cover the mortgage payment + expenses + profit. Probably would need to talk them down in price. Maybe mortgage is 200K per year. Another 500K in expenses.
It's tight though. More of a hobby thing than a huge money maker.

The Mt. Tam Railroad came up from its Depot in Mill Valley past the West Point Inn to the top of Mt. Tam. Near the Mountain Home Inn the track branched and crossed the ridge near the Mountain Home Inn and down into Muir Woods.

$4.9M. That's all?? For the price of a parklet condo in downtown SF.

Mill Valley library is super abelist. They have serous ADA issues they blatantly and flagrantly defy.

While I agree that public buildings should be accissible, historic and unique buildings such as the MV Library are tough because its so cost prohibitive, and in some cases not physically feesable. I'll argue that it should be on the city/county/state to bring the building up to meet current ADA code. Private residences or businesses are forced to come up to code at the owners expense when going through significant remodels which is borderline punitive.
