Hi, Peggy Lou & Norm - I'm new to your channel in the last three months. Found you in searching for videos regarding milk glass and have fallen in love with your love for all things RETRO! As someone born in 1971, and having been raised with both sets of grandparents present in my life, I remember soooooo many of these things. This is a BEAUTIFUL video. LOVE this Christmasses past video. Thank you boyh for curating and preserving so many lovely things of the past. And, I enjoy seeing how much you BOTH love these nostalgic heirlooms. THANK YOU and keep it up. Angelia M. in Kansas City, MO
Your home tours inspire me, even though I’m watching old videos! This was just lovely- thank you so much for all your hard work putting these together!
Hi Jo! So great to hear from you! We hope all is well with you and yours! Thank you so much for your very kind message ;-) Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you. Please forgive us for not writing a personalized response message today. As you can imagine, that has become very difficult to do now that we have so many more viewers, who are kind to write wonderful messages, like you do. We love to read them and hear about your fun interests too! You make it all worthwhile! We wanted to let you know that most of the great vintage decorations shown in those OLD photos (since 2005), were thrifted way back when things like the holiday mugs were only $.49 or $.99 each! Peg had lots of fun displaying so many kitschy things (in the kitchen especially). But she got hooked on Christmas PYREX and it took over the shelves out there. Most of those other kitchen things have long ago been re-donated back to charities. You can't keep bringing home more thrifted stuff each year and not send lots back in order to regain room in the allocated Christmas bins, right? Peggy, has always loved decorating and changes her mind after a few years about what she likes in every room. Norm has always loved old colorful (hard) plastic lighted things, but we both decided not only did they use electricity, but plugging in all that was just too much work, too many cords showing, and too much to store. So we sold as many of the 50's lighted Santas, etc. last year on eBay. Peg also decided to sell all of her Christmas deer collection, and many of her blow mold, big plastic candy strings too, because they were all becoming much more valuable. November 2019 sales were great for us ;-) We also sold a smaller vintage 6' Evergleem aluminum pom-pom Christmas tree! Our current one, that we plan to always own, is an 8' NIB vintage pom-pom Evergleem, that we were fortunate to find! You will see it again in our 2020 Christmas Tour by December! You will also see lots and lots of fun vintage collectibles that we've decided are our favorites, plus some new things that we started to collect (like thrifted Christmas figural tins--soldiers, snowmen, Santas, vehicles, buildings, etc.). We are decorating now this week!!! I hope you enjoyed reading this special message being sent to all of you wonderful TH-cam Friends and Family! We wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Warmly, Peg and Norm
Just like my childhood! I'm in the hospital recovering(?) from Covid, and I am enjoying hours of watching vintage Christmas displays on my phone -- it helps a lot with the isolation. Thank you so much for the time and effort involved in making such wonderful shows! By the way, I also love the old radios.
Hello Ed! How nice of you to write to us❣ We are so sorry to hear you are in the hospital! We pray you'll heal quickly and get back to feeling well. Thanks so much for watching our videos!! We have 4 Christmas ones 💚❤💚 and other room tours showing more radios ;-) Thank you again for being in touch. Wishing you and yours a happy healthy New Year! 🌟

I can’t imagine how long it must take for you to set all this up and you do it so well. You have a great flair for decorating. It’s one thing to have all these pieces but it is another thing to know how to display them

My parents had an aluminum Christmas tree. They also had a light wheel that changed colors. They also had mid century modern furniture. This video was a fun diversion from all the world's unsettling News. Thank you for a walk down memory lane!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Watched this sweet video over my breakfast tea. What a relaxing start to my day. So nostalgic! I kept thinking “Mom had that. I remember those.” Thank you. It did bring tears to my eyes. God bless you both. Thank you. Thank you. Blessings from Wisconsin

Your collection makes my heart sooooo happy! I’m a vintage collector also but nowhere near on the scale that you are! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful treasure with us all! I feel like I just stepped back into my childhood!
Hi Milli! It is great to hear from you!! Thank you so much for watching our Christmases Past and writing to us with your very sweet message! We are really happy that you are enjoyed this tour. We loved hearing how it made you feel like a child again ;-) You make it very worthwhile for us to make these videos. I grew up in a home from age 5 to 11 (where across the street from me) my girlfriend's mom's name was Millie Wagner! How coincidental! Our best wishes to you and yours for a blessed Christmas and New Year. Sincerely, Peg & Norm
This is so awsome me and my wife and son use the tree from my childhood that mom and dad bought the year I was born 1992 and have been using it for last 28 years and now I got it in my living room with all the ornaments from my childhood and teenage years that me and my 2 brothers made a few and alot of them we got on vacations as kids as well our tree is literally my whole childhood
Peggy I don’t know what to say. I wish I could have a private tour so I could pick things up😄. I love the ginger bread magnets and there was one white milk glass mug with pine cones on it that really resonated with me. I collect small china (mostly Bavarian) plates with hand painted pine cones. I have a display of them in my hall. So many treasures for this special season. Also your egg nog punch bowls and mugs are delightful. I can easily imagine greeting my holiday guests with a cup of cheer! This year I will be toasting the holidays with my family over zoom. But I take great comfort in my efforts to decorate for the holiday. I will borrow a feather from you and Norms cap and take my family on a digital tour. You are inspirational.
This was fantastic! I had so much fun taking in all the vintage goodness. Your tree is amazing! Will have to watch this again to make sure I didn't miss anything! Hehe

This video is Absolutely amazing!! Thank you for sharing. Vintage decorations are and will always be the best! When I put mine out I think about the houses they used to be in and who enjoyed them before I got them.

@@Crazy4Retro oh yes I enjoyed your message so very much. And thank you for sharing all the information with me. I collect alot of things but my true passion is pyrex. And it's getting harder and harder to find it, and then the prices are crazy. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Would you and Norm ever consider doing a Q and A video. What got you stared, kids, pets, did you work out of the home at some time and oh so many more. I am sure many other people would have some good ideas. You are a truly delightful couple.
Hello Barb! Thank you for your fun message! That is really great that you would enjoy a Q and A video! We have considered doing one since others have recently asked for the same. We think that is very nice that you, and hopefully many others who have wondered about us more, would enjoy listening to that. Maybe we'll get out a post asking for questions to answer ;-) Thanks again for watching our Christmases Past video and your sweet compliments!! The following is a standard message that we are sending out to those who have watched this video too and sent comments. It was necessary to respond this way, but we also wanted to explain some fun things about our old photos and collections. Thanks again, Barb, for your request and being in touch! We are decorating now this week!!! I hope you enjoyed reading this special message being sent to all of you wonderful TH-cam Friends and Family! We wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Warmly, Peg and Norm
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with your amazing collections. It brings back so many happy Christmas memories 💝. God Bless you and your family ! 🎅🎄⛄
Greetings Alicia! It is great to hear from you!! Thank you for watching our videos and taking the time to write to us with your thoughtful and kind message! We appreciate it so much, and wish you and yours a very blessed holiday season. Best Regards, Peg and Norm
New here. Absolutely amazing and beautiful. Lovely to see so many cherished items. How you display everything is exceptional. Can not wait to show this to my mom who is 77. She decorates the way you do. Such elegance. Really enjoyed. Loved so much. Thank you very much for sharing and for all of your hard work displaying these treasures. Peace and Blessings for you all. 🤶🎅❤🥰🙋♀️
Is it weird my favorite thing was the wreath around the thermostat?! I also loved all the crocheted pot holders in Christmas colors on the cupboard doors.
That tree in the Front Bay Window took my breath!! I think that is one of the loveliest things I have ever seen Christmas wise. I have a collection of Shiny Brite Ornaments and used to have the Silver tree. Now I want one again and one that is on the rotating stand.
This is the best Christmas gift I will ever get this year. There are many heavy hearts around the holidays, just take a deep breath and watch the magic. We need not carry the burden and weight of the world by ourselves, many others are helping. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one recently and in the past. Do not be angry or sad, they have never left your side. Let’s make it a good Christmas amongst ourselves. We really do have blessings to count- ONE ANOTHER! Thank you for the awesome gift. Beautiful and spectacular.
Hi Rickey! Always so nice to hear from you! Thank you so much for writing such a kind and thoughtful message, so well said. We're so glad that you enjoyed this video that we had so much fun making. We realized that we had so very many old photos of our Christmas decorations that we could share now that we have learned how to make videos. I believe most people that have watched this video think that we still have all those decorations, but we don't. Most of them were thrifted way back when things were plentiful and cheap in the thrift stores. I was buy the lovely large chalkware angels for only $.99! Now thrift stores have tapped into the vintage collecting craze and they are not longer sold for those prices, and maybe even not put out on the shelves in the first place. They are all doing eBay too! Anyways, we've always found more vintage decorations and changed our minds about what to keep or not. So probably half of the things shown have been re-donated or sold. We can't store all of that, even if I wanted to, it would be overwhelming to make decisions on what to display each year, right? We had way more fun photos than what I used--lots of work on that one. We will be making a Christmas video of this year's décor too. I'm not quite as kitschy as previous years--even though I loved it all. Thanks again for writing your always great messages! We have been very blessed this year to gain all the kind friends on TH-cam, like you ;-) Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
That's don't look like a normal deco house, that's looks like a museum.... It is just incredible... Make me miss my Christmas days with family... Thank u for the video!!!!
Hi Geri! Thanks so very much for your great support and sending all your kind messages in 2022! Happy New Year! We wish many blessings for you and yours. Sincerely, Peg and Norm
Astounding! Truly a gift to American history. Please consider opening up seasonally for guided tours! I’d certainly pay to see it in person. PLUS...use the proceeds to buy more vintage items! 😜 Stunning! 💖
Hi Gio Vanni! @@Crazy4Retro You're most welcome! I live vicariously through TH-cam retro/vintage/thrift videos. I have been downsizing as well. Like the both of you, my collecting can get to be too much to manage. It's time to let others enjoy and add to their collections. Thanks for the memories! Once again, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

So we sold as many of the 50's lighted Santas, etc. last year on eBay. Peg also decided to sell all of her Christmas deer collection, and many of her blow mold, big plastic candy strings too, because they were all becoming more valuable. We still have our 8' NIB vintage pom-pom Evergleem, that we were fortunate to find! You will see it again close up in our 2020 Christmas Tour by December! We are decorating now this week!!! We hope you enjoyed reading this special message being sent to all of you wonderful TH-cam Friends and Family! We wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Warmly, Peg and Norm

Hi Mehri! Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you.

Amazing. I did LOVE IT! The poinsettias are beautiful. I especially love the black kitty cat cozying up by the fire on the red rug. And so much more. Christmas most only get to dream about. Thank you for sharing.

Pour some hot chocolate, add some mini marshmallows, stir with a candy cane and grab a cozy blanket. Enjoy this Christmas nostalgia trip courtesy of Peggy & Norm. Kudos!

@@Crazy4Retro Please don't feel like you have to respond back. I'm thrilled that your channel is growing! Weeding out some decorations that you no longer are interested in or that increased in value is good; like you said, it can free up space for new ones! Have a blessed day and stay safe. We are going on stricter restrictions in the Chicago area.
How cool is that video. I just post one video about history of the Christmas and vintage Christmas decor. I really love your decorations and aluminum tree.

Hi, Peggy Lou & Norm -
I'm new to your channel in the last three months.

Just about everything I saw basted me decades back to when the things that troubled me the most was to resist touching grandma's irresistible Christmas decorations of which I saw again and again in your wonderful presentation, Thank you for reminding me that peaceful era. God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Omg, I see something new every time I watch this video! Had not noticed the little camper and car/truck collections before! So cute!
Very Beautiful Vintage Christmas collection !!! Everything is gorgeous. Bravo. The tree is fantastic !!!
Thank you for a journey back to the Christmases of my youth. Not much money in the family but oh the Christmases!
Hehe

It was necessary to respond this way, but we also wanted to explain some fun things about our old photos and collections. Thanks again, Barb, for your request and being in touch!
Very nice! Me and my wife are ooing.....and ahhing.....everything. Love it all!

Astounding! Truly a gift to American history. Please consider opening up seasonally for guided tours! I’d certainly pay to see it in person. PLUS...use the proceeds to buy more vintage items! 😜 Stunning! 💖

Norm has always loved old colorful (hard) plastic lighted things, but we both decided not only did they use electricity, but plugging in all that was just too much work, too many cords showing, and too much to store. So we sold as many of the 50's lighted Santas, etc. last year on eBay. Peg also decided to sell all of her Christmas deer collection, and many of her blow mold, big plastic candy strings too, because they were all becoming more valuable. We still have our 8' NIB vintage pom-pom Evergleem Aluminum Tree that we were fortunate to find. You will see it again in our 2020 Christmas Tour by December! You will also see lots and lots of fun vintage collectibles that we've decided are our favorites, plus some new things that we started to collect.
I hope you enjoyed this special message being sent to all of you wonderful TH-cam Friends and Family! We wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Warmly, Peg and Norm
Thank you so much for sharing. It was such a mellow and peaceful visit. I enjoyed it immensely. Happy Holidays!
Wow!! So wonderful and your tree OMG!! Amazing! 🥰
Hi New Friend ;-) So great to hear from you! We hope all is well with you and yours! Thank you so much for your very kind message! You sure have fun, colorful videos too and fabulous thrifted finds!!
Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you.

I have one of those poinsetta tinsel circles. Looks almost identical to yours. Was a tupperware party door prize in 1976. I have never seen anyone else with one so I was SUPER suprised when I saw yours.
Might have to plug it in. Lol

Just Fabulous loved the video
Hi Lori! So great to hear from you! We hope all is well with you and yours! Thank you so much for your very kind message ;-)
Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you.

Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you.
I love it God bless all
