First Atrocitus manipulated the truth to turn him into a Red Lantern in the first place, and now Metron set up his hopes to fail so he could get him angry enough to use the ring again. Razer just cannot get a break when it comes to pricks using him for the sake of his rage.
Metron isn't at fault he had fallen for that trick, he just used the ring host to study its properties but had reflected on him since his hope and anger combined and pushed meteon away.

Aya is a very unique individual even among the DC universe. Wouldn't put it past him to have her stored away somewhere, or likely... experimenting on her.

The only person who can take off a Red ring is a Blue Lantern bc a red ring becomes the life support for the host. But a blue ring can help a red host because it is the opposite of the red ring

Razer beat the daylights out of Attrocitus when the latter admitted to being the reason Ilana was dead. Breaking Razer's heart never ends well for those responsible. You think you can handle it but this is the guy who was able to use his red ring on Odym in the presence of mulitple Blue Lanterns.

If this is going with the animated series version, there’s a few lore differences. For one, the Red’s don’t have that issue and can take them off. Another is, the Yellow corps may not even be around yet or at least were formed long after the Reds, Blues, and Sapphires.
