really important messages and the right moment... hearing him describe this as regression and being small and growing myself up was really powerful. thank you, John Lee...

Thanks for talking about this. I have been stuck at 3-7 ever since my therapist amplified a romantic relationship with him and then blamed me for it and shamed me because the session is recorded and he is afraid of me because his behavior is illegal. This is why therapeutic abuse is the most dangerous for all concerned.

      Pozy Bahamas
I think his use of curse words is marvelous emphasis in this context.
Go past it for the gift of his information

There's a place for all the cursing and all the high talk and all the dry talk that a person might engage in. When someone doesn't curse it might be because there's no need it also might be because they're repressing themselves and therefore repressing possibly very important emotions. It also might be because they want to keep an image up of being some "serious academic", etc.
His delivery was pure with or without cursing. He was, from the sound of it, trying to give a serious message to an informal gathering, if cursing was what came up in the moment to make an intimate point, then that was the right thing to do. Truth is pure but sometimes it is jagged and sometimes it is smooth.
People who want to "sanitize" everything are no better than a Culture Minister in a totalitarian regime.

Ask yourself ... "Why am I unable to appreciate truth when it is packaged differently than I prefer it to be?"
