@@cratwinterz200 yeah if kuroko was created on late 2010's instead of late 2000's everyone would be able to shoot 3 & spread the floor 3 point phantom shot would be insane too bad the manga end on 2014 before the 3 point revolution
We'll most likely not see him beyond those garbage time minutes this season (the Grizzlies are stacked when healthy), but the guy will lit up the G League. Fun as hell to watch and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a mainstay somewhere next season.
-- Agree. He's pretty young. Spending some time in the G-League ain't always negative. Even 6ft Jose Alvarado and 6ft FVanVleet gained some traction before finding staying power in the NBA.
As 🇯🇵🇫🇷, I say it’d be super important for him to get better stats every game in order to stay in the league. That’s already phenomenal to simply be there (ngl, as a short Asian person) tho, now it’s kinda “New Foreign Kid in class” period. Hope he’d keep going deep and prove his value!
Even if he doesn't get meaningful minutes he is still a star to me. We are the same height and I gave up on basketball (I mean playing seriously) at middle school. Watching him play is just insane to me
His playmaking skill is a certified elite knowing how he makes plays, also a decent on ball defender. Talking about his shooting, yea it's trash cuz the size of court in Japan is the same as FIBA's which means smaller than the NBA's. That's the thing he had to adapt with. The level of opponents is much better tho.
those are garbage time stats based on 3 minutes per game play, no rhythm can be developed....maybe try watching the games....what are you expecting him to do with 3 minutes per game play where out of the 3 minutes he probabl has 1 minute holding the ball and 20 seconds dribbling the time out? but when he had 8 minutes he had 4 assists....watch the games
@@Hawkhunter07 we just don't have enough information to form a real opinion. All we know is that his passing highlights are top tier. Most likely, his defense will be limited to getting steals in transition and his offence will be limited to shooting wide open shots and uncontested layups. If that's the case, his minutes and role will always be limited. Maybe his passing will still produce enough value in the right line ups, but being a scoring a non-threat and defensive liability is going to keep him in a small bucket.
This man took the floor against the Blazers the other night and the crowd *in Portland* was cheering when he hit his first basket. Yukimania is real
Watching his game he’s doing everything right on offense literally drawing defense in and kicking out
I feel it’s worth noting that Yuki, when written as yuuki (勇気), translates to courage in Japanese. 5’8 in the NBA takes courage
Every real basketball Fan is rooting for Yuki
I feel like if the Grizzlies release him, the Spurs will sign him just so they can say they have the shortest and tallest player in the league 😆
🙄
Isn’t edey taller though?
He 7'4 @@Invalidusrr
Zack Edey is taller than Wemby though so that's not true
And Tacko fall
He maxed his build stats on everything at the cost of height.
It’s all well spent so far since he can shoot, pass and handle the ball.
Real life Kuroko
nah kuroko can't shoot 3
he's floater (phantom shot) are great tho
if he could shoot 3 seirin would destroy all of generation of miracles easily
@@zerevv
To be fair, he’s shown as getting pretty close to 3pt range. And that’s all within a couple of days of learning how to shoot as well.

More like the real life Miyagi Ryota from Slam Dunk anime and manga.
Ahiru no Sora. It's all about a short basketball player who practiced dribbling and 3 pointers

If you want to see him play more minutes just watch the g league
I don't find case he plays on the gleague, on that case is better he plays on Euro basket
@@alanpeter5527he hasn’t been brought down yet thought grizzlies still keeping on the their game day rosters every game
He’s been playing real minutes for the grizzlies right now so I don’t think g league will be seeing him anytime soon
Yuki phenomenal passer
This was an interesting video. I have just seen highlights of Yuki but he looks quick as he'll and can shoot.
Yuki reppin for all the shordi's out there 5'8 and under. great assists every night

Better than Bronny 🤣

HEART OVER HEIGHT💯💪🏾💪🏾
Skill over height
Yuki heart over height
The Guy got dimes!!! Rooting for him!
I am the same height as a professional NBA player 😂
You should do a video on Scottie pippen jr, popping off for the grizzlies and is putting up solid numbers!
I think he'll do that once Scottie reaches the height of 5'7.
@@bigradwolf5001😂
Spud Webb hello
Trade Ja, Yuki is the franchise.
Basically an anime dog story Arc.
anyone mention calvin murphy?
Who yall taking? Yuki kawamura or bronny ?
Probably bronny
You mean France took Japan to OT
japan got robbed
Other than finding a way for himself to score, he’s fundamentally sound and a very good passer.
He’s averaging 1 point a game on 18% shooting and 12% from three. What is he proving? Isiah Thomas averaged almost 30 at the same height
Isiah Thomas is 6 feet. You must be talking about Isaiah Thomas.
@ Nah, close, I’m talking about Isaìah Thömas.

Gonna have few to non minutes comig "real" regular season, unless JA underperformes
Still better than Bronny.
He would chew tf outta bronny
Yuki Kawamura Is Proving EVERYONE Wong...
You think of that one all by yourself?
He's averaging 1 ppg on 18% shooting, so I'm not sure who's being proven wrong here.
