      And how exactly do you know she knew? I've played for 2 decades and can't tell you how many times I 1) sat down not realizing I fouled and 2) gotten up to shoot not realizing I had ball in hand. It happens

      Just look at 1:03:02... PERFECT example of how a player doesn't know what's going on 100 percent of the time

    I'd kill for an hour lesson from either or both of them. Female pool players are awesome!

    I guess it's not required to tell your opponent that you fouled, but considered bad sportsmanship. I don't think Jennifer caught it is either though. I imagine the crowd shouldn't but in and say something? In some sports the spectators aren't supposed to declare if a ball landed in our out unless you are all friends.

    Fortunately, the audio is very low, allowing most of the announcer's BS to just float on down the crapper...

    minute 149 is not a carom, it would be a billiard cue ball off 3 on to 9

    Can't say for sure if she knew she fouled . . . but, the player playing the safety is generally going to be very attuned to whether a rail is hit, whereas the seated player is going to be focused on where the cue ball ends up relative to the lowest ball on the table.

      @whetedge 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The person playing the shot is going to be pre-occupied with the position left for the opponent. It's happened to me, not noticing I didn't hit a rail, and get called by the opponent. It's possible that's what happened to Barretta. Hasson should have noticed imo, regardless of whether Barretta knew or not.

      1 ball carom off the 7 ball into the 9 for a natural angle on the side pocket. High risk High reward, being tired/distracted, etc.

    Did this in reverse myself in the US Amateur. Classless eventual winner of the entire event in effect did what Jen did here. He became the classless USAM Champ representative of the APA for that year. Jen knew she fouled. Lost all respect for her.

    Jennifer gets luckier than Efren Reyes. Every match i see her in, she wins by either getting incredibly lucky rolls, flukes and her opponents missing automatic shots. She can play well, but her opponents always make uncharacteristic mistakes.
    Can't believe no one called that hill/hill foul.
    If you're watching a match, you're actually obligated to point out a foul if no one else sees it or says anything. It's not out of line to speak up.
    Shame on Barretta

  • @Steaven.D

    And wtf.....Jennifer knew she no railed it and she kept her mouth shut to see if anybody caught it, which nobody did outside of the commentators......it's not dirty pool....it's you better pay attention to every little detail when playing tournaments.......including checking the racks.......6 or 7 dry breaks coming from a multi world champion?........in short watch everything and everyone......great match though.....but trust No One......not just in pool but in life as well........TRUST NO ONE.
