Did you ever end up getting a next gen console during 2K14’s time frame? I got one around March 2014, and man I’ll never forget witnessing those graphics.

I didn’t get my next gen console until December of 2015 so i missed out on 2k14 & 2k15 on next gen. I had them both on 360. I was just graduating high school and didn’t have the money to afford a next gen console straight out the gate. Fast forward to now, i own a Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and a PlayStation 5.

2k14's Graphics and Jersey animations is still one of the best in an nba 2k game. New gen 2k may got an slight edge on the graphics but the jersey animations still goes to 2k14
That’s because 2k14 is the only nba 2k game to use a 3rd party engine called eco motion. They should have stuck with it imo, much better physics
@@PaddyMcGee10 Yep kinda sucks that they didn't continue using the Eco-Motion engine. Everything on 2k14 looks clean graphics, lighting,animation and all

That’s boring myteam isn’t dissed to be realistic. That’s what play now is for. Myteam is way more arcade
@@Ac3Badger yeah I get your point. But Myteam has lost all of its original competitiveness. On the earlier myteams, people used to really grind challenges and they had to play a lot to obtain one 90+ player. These players were good but not overly dominant like all the pink diamond and higher cards we have now. You really had to know your team and play good. Now you can just chuck up three pointers constantly, or dunk everything with a 99 overall player.

2k14 shooting system is the best of all 2ks. No shot meter, just the yellow meter growing or decreasing depending on your shot percentage and contest. I miss 2k14

The animations themselves flow so smoothly into eachother than the current games out right now. Just shows that 2k refuses to improve their games and the older technology is better.
