Super sick video man! Just curious how hard was it to get the chargespeed lip to fit on the USDM bumper? Thanks!
Thank you! It took quite a bit of work to be honest. I made a post about the process under the community tab on my channel 👍🏻
Very nice. I am the proud owner of a 1989 Civic SI that I have owned for 23 years since 2000
That’s awesome! What color?
@@gio.rodriguez
It's fully restored I change the color to a 2002 Audi S4 Pearl blue
91 Civic Si was my first brand new car. I bought it for $9800 plus $800 for AC. It was a fun car to drive. Nice job restoring it.
That's awesome! $800 for ac seems like a bargain these days
@@gio.rodriguez It was a bargain then too. New model was coming so dealer was unloading 91. Used once were going for over 12k. Mine was green as well. Color of money. I started my own business and was using it to deliver machined parts. Best deal ever. Now I have 2014 Boxster S. Also fun car to drive, but not as practical.
Priceless
What a beauty. It is hard to restoration a EF. Some parts are hard to find. Anyway congratulations to have such a legend car. Respect from Taiwan.
Thank you very much!
Man this is goals for my EF for sure. Thanks for the inspiration and what a beautiful example!
Thank you! Yours looks like a great base to start with 👍🏻
I’ve owned my EF since 1999
Cheers from 🇨🇦
Never let her go!!
A dream
Holy shit the engine bay
So sickkkkkk , built a 89 si back in the day . Good to see you held on to your first love !
Thank you! 89’s are cool with the seatbelt on the pillar instead of the doors haha
Ahhhhh the door sound when it closes crisppppp 👌👌👌 working on restoring/restomoding my 90 ef si hopefully I’ll have some time one day to finish it
Also I’ve seen your car waaay back before instagram was even popular love it
Thanks man! That means Honda-tech and NWP4LIFE days! Haha
@@gio.rodriguez ohh yeah still find myself browsing through Honda tech every now and then man it really was different and not that long ago
Not usually a Honda guy but man that bay is clean! Love the car, great job!
Appreciate it!
Very nice car brother. Every EF owner would love for their car to be this clean. Nice job!
Thank you! I appreciate it
I really like the color scheme for the paint on the outside! I personally just got a 97 civic coupe ex for my first car and I'm excited to try out some things even though I know almost nothing about working on cars. This video gave me some inspiration, thank you 🙏
Thank you! These cars are great platforms to learn mechanical skills and there is plenty of information out there to help. Good luck with your coupe 🤙🏻
im not a honda guy but i do like older hondas. i appreciate all cars. this one is a clean build.
Thank you!
That Fields controller !!! Perfection 🤌
😎
This Was My First Car 22 Years ago When I Was in High School it was White 🤍
Nice one bro 🔥 i have eg 1995 turbo H22a7
hey man I love the build, clean and simple how it should be! I'm just out of highschool and my first car was a 97 del sol si, still have it and I hope I hold onto it as long as you've held yours!
Right on! They are very fun platforms to learn and build on
I haven't seen those two-tone NWP stickers for years. They used to take up all of my workspace cause I ordered them in sheets and had to cut them into singles before shipping them out haha
That's awesome! Those were the good old days for sure. I still have a new chrome and black one in the car somewhere.
wow such a cool car love the exhaust note ❤
Thanks!
It’s beautiful.
Hella clean EF man! I’m in the process of restomoding my 1988 EF Hatch and restoring a 91 sedan. Respect for staying SOHC. I currently have the JDM D15B VTEC and it’s such well matched motor for the car. I will be posting a walk around of my car soon once a few more bits are finished on it.
Good Job! Thanks for the video👍
Thank you!
I had the exact same car in the same color and I kick myself every day for letting it go. I still have everything in my barn to do the SiR conversion and I'm hoping I eventually come across another nice one someday that doesn't cost 20 grand.
Prices have gone pretty crazy! My friend just sold an 88 crx for $15k 😳
it looks so nice
Thank you!
Very nice 👍
The wheels look so good, really complement the car
Thank you! I chased them down from my friend for about 3 years and was able to finally get them.
Sick build!!!
Thank you! 🤙🏻
Very tastefully done EF!
Thank you!
man this car is beautiful😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you! I think so too 😄
This is a really beautiful car man! love it all.... i used to have a 90 EF with D16Z6 turbo.... really miss it. and i also had that Field's.... HA good ol days
Thank you! 😎🤙🏻
Nice car and video man
Thank you!

Beautiful 😎
Thank you!
Nice honda bro love small 🚗 🚘
I love your ef hatch its so clean🫡
Thank you!
Car looks mint glad you took really good care of this car hard to find older Civics in good condition 88-2000 model years this Civic would sell for a lot of money.
Thank you! Yes, they are definitely beginning to come around and hold their value 🤙🏻
Sweet
I dig it!
Thank you!
Amazing car man!! My seats I got cane out of a wrecked si with 70k miles they are flawless mint!! Would look amazing in ur car! , im re building mine now
Thank you! Good luck on your rebuild 🤙🏻
The way gas goes up and down keep it lol, solid build
So true 😆
beautiful :)
Thank you!
so clean... you ever think about paying tribut kinda to the 90's early 00, like go full all motor 16, dogbox, lsd /full suspension... do some scca/autocross
I wish I had my 91 Honda hatch si, missed it since the day my dad sold it.
Yea, I still have it because I don't want to regret selling it!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
No one really cares about the upgrades that you did ! LOL jk this build is bad ass great work my brother !!!
Got me for a sec! 😆
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥awesome job I didn’t hear how much was the Hp
Thanks! I never dyno'd it, but I would think around 140hp.
where'd you find the 16 valve sticker for the rear window? i dig it, super clean build!
Thank you, it was a real oem sticker but I don't know the part number for it.
And another question how much would it be to fix rust damage on these body’s
nice build ,can you give me info for your shift knob ?
Nice looking EF! Don't ever sell it. How was that mini swap? I'm looking to do the same.
Thanks! It is a good bang for your buck. Plenty of parts out there to make it happen.
Are you selling your EF? awesome car
Thank you! I don’t plan on it at this time.
What’s your wheel fitment? I have some 15x7’s on 205’s on my ef hatch but they’re a bit too wide and stick outside the fender.
It's on 195/50r15's but I don't recall the wheel specs. It's been too long lol
I did some research and the Super Fins are 15 X 6.5. I'm not sure what the offset is but it should be listed inside the wheel.
@@gio.rodriguez your hatch looks amazing bro. Did you roll your fenders & if you don't mind doing this could you take one of the wheels off and reply with the offset listed inside please? I have a 91 sedan I want to restore however the stock wheels are quite beat up so I want to replace them with something nicer without rolling the fenders.
Where'd you get that clear ECU cover from?
EF royeeeee! I still got that brand new 91 bumper too 😉
Do you have videos during build. please upload
Unfortunately I don’t. The majority was done around 2009, and some more visual mods done around 2013.
Would easily sell for $20k plus in Japan. Super rare here.
😮
How much trouble would it be to get heat and air conditioning system installed?
The dash is really easy to remove and I still have the heater parts, but adding a/c to a non a/c car would take some work.
Thanks for your reply. Is there room to add AC components?@@gio.rodriguez
btw, my first two cars were an '88 Civic hatchback then traded it in for a 1991 model........kept it until 2002, wish I still had it.
No more investing Why not thats a beautiful car. You keep referring to it as high school like it's a knock. This is a classic body style
Any more money put into it wouldn’t increase its value. It would be money lost, that I’d rather spend on other projects
Let me ask y’all a question does rust make you guys not want your car no more?
California cars = no rust.
Would you consider selling it?? If so let me know
Someone would have to really want it more than me
Price range?
Serious buyer here. Pm me
Don’t sell it
It’s been sitting in the garage since I made this vid
Question why does your hood look all dented ??
Those are the waves in the carbon resin, they don’t come out perfect from the molds when casted
