Stephanie, you have been my mental savior during this covid and now in this catastrophe in our country. I’m a dentist and dealing with PPE and my staff and all the biosafety measures I’ve had to put in place, I’m done by the end of the day. I get home and have two kids and husband. Bla bla. Fast forward to Stephanie. I sit and watch your videos. Some over and over. You were my first person I’ve ever subscribed to. I bought everything you recommended and honestly, I’m a makeup guru but now I’m on fire!! Thanks to you. So thankful. For your positivity. And your to the point info. Please do a full pay McGrath face tutorial. Rose palette. Any palette honestly. And her lip products. I have many of her eye products in several shades. And I have three of her palettes. Would love that. And pls do ten videos per day!! Lol
I've been a subscriber for awhile but never left a commwnt. I am 46 years old also with combination skin. I have to say watching you and Rissa has changed my make up game. I tried the double wear on your recommendation and am very pleased. I dare say my makeup looks better now than in my 20s lol. Love your videos, keep them coming.
I’m 42 and just started wearing face makeup. After trying SO many samples, I fell in love with the Double Wear Light foundation. Still experimenting with application to see what works best, so this video is super helpful!
Almost all, if not all of these tips I learned from you and my makeup always looks beautiful so thank you for your expertise! I’m being totally serious and I wear full coverage foundation every day to work and I love the way my makeup looks and yes it lasts all day. 😁
I have must've bought over 50 different foundations in the last 30 years, yet I can always count on Estee Lauder Double Wear to give me a long-lasting, sweat proof, picture perfect finish. If I have an important event to go to, day or night, that's the foundation I reach for.
I always use my fingers for my undereye concealer. It blends so much better! Thanks for this video. This is exactly how I use doublewear and it's nice to know I'm on the right track!
I got the ELDW foundation after seeing how you apply it. It, and your techniques, are the ONLY thing I‘ve found that actually makes my skin look amazing with foundation!
I'd love to see u talk about the Estee Lauder maximum covere camouflage. Have u tried it? I've been wearing it for 2 years and I love it. But it is a little cakey by the end of the day. But it's the only foundation I've found to cover my sun spots.
I haven't tried it because I've heard how full coverage it is and I don't usually go for super full out coverage. Regular DW is full enough for me. Have you tried it with this method as well?
@@StephanieMarie yes. I have. And I actually love the foundation. I swear by it. It doesn't separate. It stays on all day, and covers everything. But like I said, by my 8th hour at work it's settling into my smile lines and looking a little cakey. It just started doing it a few months ago and I've been wearing it for about 2 years. I'd love for u to try it. U can get a free sample of it in Belk. Or anywhere that sells it I think,
Thank you for your tips. I now layer my Clinique even better refresh in two thin layers with a foundation brush and finish it with a damp sponge them set with powder. Very natural and full coverage and lasts all day.
Congratulations for being sponsored by Estée Lauder Stephanie! Love the double wear! This was so GOOD!!! I’m gonna use several of these tips tomorrow. Damp sponge for powder and come down the neck to blend! Excellent job sweet Stephanie!
Stephanie Marie awwwww Thank you Stephanie! So are you! And I wanted to let you know I tried several of your tips this morning and loved them!!! Damp sponge for powder and using setting spray and then finishing powder. Beautiful!!
Thank you. I’m just applying it for the first time. Please address if you have not, how to determine your shade and undertone. I have an assortment of foundations that are not quite right. Tired of spending money.
Stephanie hi!!! This was an excellent video! Thanks so much💖 I am 49 with combo skin and your tips are just excellent!!!! I too love love estee lauder. Have a great weekend😘
This foundation is the most reliable one for me, I would wear it when I know I won’t have time to touch up or even look into a mirror. I have a combo to oily skin and I live in a very hot area but this foundation can stand all of this 😂 actually it keeps on looking better throughout the day!
I’ve been fine tuning this technique with your videos on setting & finishing powder. And I’m having a struggle: I dampen sponge, squeeze the crap out of it, let it sit in my sponge tray (I know, I know, so extra) for at least 20 minutes while I apply primer, foundation & concealer. Then I grab the very lightly damp sponge, get a wad of powder pat, pat, pat... bald spot! Suddenly, the sponge pulls the foundation and concealer right off! Then I have to touch up, but there is already powder down so it starts over-building-up in that area where the reapplied area overlaps the area that didn’t get lifted. Of course this is happening in the under eye area/where my glasses sit on my nose bridge. I’m getting better at ‘erasing’ it with a fine powder (but not great) so it’d be fantastic to just avoid that. Any suggestions?
Stephanie Marie I see now - I was trying to click where it usually drops down but it didn’t - I’m not used to seeing them listed in that format, so thanks. I think I found you from your original Estée Lauder Doublewear video - I like that I can thin it out with moisturizer - it’s so pigmented and it doesn’t budge, hence the name!
What do you know of the by TERRY Hyaluronic Hydra-Foundation?? I want to try it but dont hear anything from the influencers yet (its a new product). I am 58 and normal skin, but need a long wearing / nautural look (i am in healthcare).
Thanks for the helpful tips! Love this type of videos..I will have to try sponge to powder to face and then facial spray.. which facial mist/sprays do u recommend, drugstore preference?
And fellow Louisiana girl here too! The humidity is NO joke so I always go back to double wear myself!!! But I've also been on retin a, so I haven't been using it because it looks dry. I can't wait to try it again with your tips!
First I want to say THANK YOU for starting with NO MAKEUP ON. No foundation on your face. I’ve been looking for videos where the model is starting from scratch with nothing on the face. If their trying to teach how to apply videos why already have makeup on. The video isn’t about how to re-apply foundation. So thank you very much for actually starting from scratch. Very helpful!!
I really appreciate what you do. Your technique is the reason my family doesn’t ask me if I am trying to look like a corpse .. LOL. Truth is..I needed to figure this out and started very late. I love the Doublewear formula. I have to do a lot of skincare to be able to continue to use it as I am in my mid 40’s but it just doesn’t compare when I test new ones(it’s some kind of wonderous witchcraft in there). You are my first You-Tuber I have followed and though I have added more and they are good too..I learn so much from you and am grateful to hear all of the tips/tech you share. Thanks for giving me a makeup game!! One more thing.. I went and grabbed a sample of the new Hydro formula Estee just released. It’s very interesting. I know you have an oily/combo situation but I know a few w same skin concerns love it. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts. All the best!!!
I don't know what you have been doing different but your skin is looking beautiful. I mean you are already beautiful but your skin and foundation has been looking so smooth and well just perfect! What are you doing different? Come on give us the goods girlie? Lol xoxo
LOL! Thanks Staci! I'm not sure! I've been messing with various skincare things but nothing too different from my last skincare routine! You're a sweetheart! Thank you!
@@StephanieMarie well whatever you are doing it is working. Your skin looks flawless and airbrushed. I just wanted to tell you I love your videos the most out of everyone I watch because you explain everything in such wonderful detail. You wound be an awesome makeup instructor. I watched the videos about all the powders and it was eye opening to say the least. I learned sooo much. Have you tried the KKW concealer? I learned you loved her loose powder for under the eye. I am having a terrible time finding my holy grail concealer and under eye powder. My under eyes are sooo dry and I look 100 year's old with everything I have tried with the exception of Charlotte Tilbury and KKW powders. I am going to try them but the concealer is still an issue.
Double wear is my number one foundation on days that I’m working. I’m a nurse so not only do I have my makeup on for around 16 hours a day but I do get hot and sweaty during my shift. My foundation never moves and looks exactly the same at the end of my shift as it did when I first applied it.
i've actually been hating double wear from the first time i tried it, it always looks cakey no matter how i apply it, so it has been my"foundation i hate the most"for years and all my friend knows it. BUT,i went apply this foundation the way u did in this video, and i don't want to admit but i'm looking in to the mirror and loving it right now😂😂😂
I’m new to your channel. The first one I’ve watched was the last one, with all the concealers. My under eyes have been a problem for so long, and I’ve tried SO MANY concealers. What are your holy grail concealer and powder for your under eyes? Thanks!
Hi Carrie! I’ve done several videos since my concealer video if you missed them! All the ones I mentioned in that video I love for different reasons. Right now I’m reaching for Armani, Dior and Too Faced the most, depending on the occasion but use the others as well. Thank you! 😘
