Love the pics, love the interaction, love the passion! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Jessica ❤️ I'm inspired
Almost all the so-called youtube pros would never attempt a natural low-light shoot as Jessica did. She is a professional that could get the job done no matter the situation.. The D810 is a master photographer's camera it has no auto mode, No eye detection but it does have just about the best image quality in the business. Jessica demonstrated the dynamic range of the D810in this shoot. Photographers that shoot with the Micro 4/3 system would come up short in a situation like this.
It does have eye detection
Fantastic pics and love the quality. Great video
I just ordered the 50mm 1.4 Canon lens. Super excited! 😁
Great video! That 50mm is amazing!
I literally learn most of what I know from jessica
You are an awesome photographer! I use the D800 and 50 f/1.4G and the lens is often criticized in reviews but your images display what it, the D810 and of course the photographer is capable of! I purchased my lens a couple of years before the 50 f/1.8G was announced by Nikon and it my D800 work great in 2021.
Welcome to Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩😊🤩🌿
Amazing photos. Back button focus might be practical for live view. The d810 is still an incredible camera and it might be a confirmation bias, but I tend to like how nikon cameras render shadows compared to other brands. The falloff to highlights is so clean.
just found your channel and I must say you are just an amazing photographer I love all of your videos and photos, so many great tips thank you! xoxoxo from NC
Doesn't matter what camera you use Jess. Great as always
Jessica -- you have the best TH-cam videos!
yah yah!! beautiful. yah yah!! gorgeous!!
I enjoyed and learned too much from your photography session. Thanks!
Such a great video and the photos look stunning!
thank you so much!
This is beautiful ❤️😍
Very nice video thank you, I'm just about to buy a d810 as my second camera to go with my d750
I pick up this same camera and lens tomm, can't wait.
wow. amazing as always!
thank you so much!
Great video, could you share at what setting the full body shots were taken which makes them look so sharp and full of colours. Thanks 👍
We love bali and nikon
OMG, What a beautiful shot 😍 new sub here!!
so proud of how far you’ve come! i remember behind here when you only have 2K subscribers!
Do you still recommend a person to buy the Canon 5D Mark IV?
Ok I needed to reread the video title because I was not expecting that you used nikon on this episode, beautiful portraits as always regardless of what camera you use.
thank you so much!
This is so effing beautiful! I’m in love. Thank you so much!
Good video. Can you please share D810 raw files experience...What exactly Raw file u normal use to get cool portraits on Nikon 810..Is it Uncompressed or Losless compressed?
Awesome. Would you go for a used D810 or a D750 for approx the same price in 2021?
very beautiful what settings of Picture profile u use?? and edit on?
Do you prefer this camera set or 5D4 with EF 50mm f/1.4?
Great Video, can you tell me which camera and lens used for creating this video?
Love your videos!
thank you so much!
Renata is flawless!😍 you captured her so well. any reason you used manual focus here?
edit to add: the link to the blog post is broken. :(
She is just used to it.
Welcome to Bali
What is the Camera and the lens you used for this behind the scenes video?? It's nice and crispy
welcome to indonesia :))
Such a helpful video! Like always!💕 Quick question, I use a d5600/ d7000 1.4 50 mm AF-S G lens, I find it doesn’t get sharp focus in wide shots or even waist up! Do you know why that might be?
Try with 35mm lens .. Coz nikon d5600 is crop sensor camera .. and 50mm behaves likes 50mm×1.5=75mm lens .. For wide view you must use 35mm lens ..
In addition to it you can try 85mm lens for waist up portraits..
I case you forget it like in the Leica CL video. ISO 6400 will give you a noisy image and you don't need to shoot portraits with 1/640.
thanks, but i'm not shooting portraits on 1/640 here
hope you enjoyed the actual video!
Do you alter your white balance manually or use a setting in your camera? Going to L.A soon and I'm not sure how to prepare for such warm/sunny environments (From Canada).
If you shoot RAW it does not matter it can be changed in post .
How do you edit photos to look like this?
Jessica, I really love to watch your videos and the way you talk. Your photos are so beautiful! And this place is amazing. I am moving to Bali next month. May I ask where is the place?
Thank you so much, I'm so happy to help. This is in Canggu :)
What camera was the video shot with ?
So nice and anthousiastic !
7:00 here is your secret for such a great light!!!

Nice. Any thoughts on the canon r?
i haven't used it enough to have an opinion on it yet !
@@JessicaWhitaker good shoots..can your share 810 Raw files Experiences...
The reason why i still have my d810
Bryan Limon would you recommend me purchasing it in 2020 for $975 ? It would be my first jump from DX to full frame currently just have a D5300 but have a 24-70 F2.8 I’ve been waiting to partner with a full frame body. Was thinking of a Z6 at first but low battery life, kinda same MP as what I got now and price tag also no double card slot is things that I thought about. I’ll consider a Z7 maybe later when price drops. D810 I’ve heard has auto focusing problems only thing I’m worried about.
@@realiariel9430 I have the 24-70 as well. As far as I have been using it for almost 3 years now, I have not encountered any focusing problems from it. I find $975 a bargain if you ask me. It's a no brainer.
Wht do you think about 50mm f1.4
Love it!
I also came from there, Bali
Nice
which 50 1.4 is it?
Looks like the 50mm f1.4 G
Lol why I’m just realizing you have a new mic set up
Did you switch to Nikon?
I hope not lol
MuMuCow8 hey now. Lol
@@Hereforonlyalittlewhile I'm just saying canon colors science
MuMuCow8 but (this kind of) photography is an art... not a science.
@@theactivespirit I didn't say anything about the photography, posing, model, lighting. I'm just saying Canon Color science is top notch. Most people who don't shoot canon say that Canon colors are amazing, and The skin tones are so accurate. That's all I'm saying.
I Liked the video a lot and learned few things from it. Please use a gimbal to film the shoot. I nearly stopped watching several times because of the jerky video. And please write the settings when you have the stils in the video. It would be super helpful. Thanks again.
the thumbnail image, interested me, so i clicked. i'm curious as to who the girl is, because i'm curious if its Jessica Whitaker or not. the girl modeling in this video is really pretty, so i'm wondering if she'd be interested in a photo shoot, wearing a similar outfit to the photographer at some point.
Raw please)
