Wales Bonner x Adidas Samba Nylon "Desert White": Review & On-Feet

- As part of their Spring / Summer 2024 line, Wales Bonner teamed up with Adidas to release a collection of footwear and apparel, inspired by the legacy of East African runners. Today I'm reviewing a Samba from this collection, crafted out of nylon in the "Desert White" colourway. Accompanied with premium leather and suede, hints of blue add some pop to this otherwise understated model!

Got the White pair and am pleased with the materials. All the Wales Bonner bits feel like a proper collab should. Great looking shoe
WB took the lead in terms of blending the adidas DNA and heritage with the collaborator’s aesthetic. No one is doing it better.

I was waiting for your review as I kno, we both got this color ratherthan the cream one, and watching this reviewwithg my pair in hand was beautiful. I Loved my pair, and I am really happy with the colorway and design by Wales Bonner, and considering this is my first Sambas ever, I am happy I got a collab series. Cheers!!

AM one of those “Samba guys” that find them more comfortable than Nikes tbh. Been using them for years now.Have wore them during a holiday in Europe and would repeat. Even though they don’t have a big sole, they’re light, great materials and build overall. Don’t know just feels good on feet. Great review as usual 👍🏽💯
I really wanted the blue pair but it flew in seconds. 😢 These look better in this video than in photos, but still not my color.

yeah I would agree with you on the nylon. Just picked up a pair of Gazelle of the same nylon material...def less than leather. But I love the subtle more muted yellow so I'm fine with my pair. Did pick up a bright yellow/orange/black Samba that's yet to show up. These are soccer shoes hence thin outsole to roll the ball with and low to the ground, perfect for the indoor game.

Cool pair, although I personally prefer the white/blue pair. Decided not to go for them, because of the nylon upper. It‘s just not my kind of material

Personally like these better than the white pair. Plus these will stay cleaner than white nylon

Years ago and had thrown them away, because they caused so much pain on my foot. Like the style, but I am afraid buying them again.

Anyone have issues with Sambas digging into your ankle/heel? I wore them for a walk around town and could barely walk in the end with the bruises and I even had thick socks on.

@@SeanGoYeah, I was so excited to get my first Sambas last month but haven’t worn them since. By the way, great review as always Sean and congrats on the curation.
I have to disagree, samba's (especially decons) are the most comfortable trainer I've worn.
