When I watched the previous video of games you replay i was questioning it a bit because there was SO much borderlands and dark souls. But then i also understand thay overall your getting to play a lot more games then me throughout the course of one year. I play about 20 or so games a year. That's just driven by having a young family and by having an occupation that is not gaming related. So i can easily see how you could go back and relive some of your favourite gaming moments whilst still getting in a very healthy dose of new games. Makes sense to me!
Borderlands is a Fantastic game in my opinion and i love going back for a new play-through every now and then. If you enjoy something it makes perfect sense to revisit something that gives you enjoyment, I don't understand why anyone would not want to go back to something that gave them enjoyment so that they can enjoy it again, I replay many games that i have enjoyed playing and enjoy Modern Gaming Just as much as Retro Gaming and i have been playing video games for over 45 years (my first console was the Atari 2600). I love New Games that bring a new experience but also going back to play some of my old favourites is sometimes even better as playing them now also adds in a level of Nostalgia which can elevate it to an even more enjoyable experience.
I replay the Batman Arkham games almost every year because Arkham asylum is my favourite game of all time and after I finish my brain just makes me play Arkham city and knight
They are the best games to replay and if you’ve played them before, they’re easier to play through again. I usually replay the Arkham games throughout the winter period as they’re generally set in that period.
Yeah, couldn't agree more. The environment and atmosphere in Batman AA especially is just so weird and unsettling - sometimes I just stop to examine the details of everything etc. Every once in a while I feel a need to go back through it all again.
I tend to fall in love with a single game at a time, play it exclusive, complete it time and time again until I eventually burn our and then move onto something else
I've played mass effect trilogy twice ! Once on 360, and than again re mastered version , Mass effect my best gaming experience ever ! Also just started collection uncharted remaster collection so this will be second time replaying , Played thru mario galaxy about 6 times ! Amazing game ! 🎮 please excuse typos not feel well, Keep up the great work dude 👏
i currently dont replay my game bc i used to be apart of the player base that doesn't finish there games until i found ur tiktok and you talked about the game log then i made one my self and thats realy motivated me to finish my games
I play uncharted main series through to the lost legacy at least once a year with my kids. They range from 9 to 15 and I honestly hope to keep the tradition on until i have grandchildren. Great series, we know it well but still enjoy spending the time together to do it.
I played both of the last of us games for the first time this year and I have already beaten them twice each and I plan on playing them more in the future. The gameplay is great, I’m still finding new things and they also have a perma death mode which I want to try and beat. Games are just fun. Play what you want to play, however you want to play them.
On a random note I’ve noticed something in the gaming world. Avengers (the game) is not available to purchase on PSN anymore due to the publishing rights ending, therefore because the only way you can play it is from an actual cd. The game has doubled in price over the last few months. I got it from CEX for £10 they are now selling it for £22.
I've played SSX Tricky on the PS2 countless times, I absolutely love it and it's probably my favourite game, just play what makes you happy and what you enjoy.
i think it depends on: - different endings/different ways of playing it - replayability (the binding of isaac, soulsborne, terraria, civ v) - if it's been a while (usually 2-3 years) since I last played it - if it's a personal favourite and crave playing it again Otherwise I mostly play stuff that I haven't played before since I have too many games in my backlog lmao. Playthrough wise, Bully: Scholarship Edition should be my favourite game ever because I've played it start to finish 12 times, but my actual favourite is Final Fantasy VI.
90% of the games I play are replayed I’ve had years where basically the only games I play are the borderlands franchise because it’s the only games I really enjoy a lot. Same with dark souls I barely play any games except the borderlands and dark souls games. I’ve played through every borderlands game at least 50 times (over 100 for borderlands 2) and still play almost exclusively them games
I have played mass effect, Yakuza, resident evil, Spider-Man (the newest ones) and more MULTIPLE times and no matter what I enjoy them so keep at playing ya comfort games as many times as ya want ❤
You can use the same analogy with films. You rewatch your favourite films. I watched Ghostbusters for the umpteenth last week and enjoyed every minute of it. I was even quoting lines before they were said.
I tend to come back to a game every year or couple of years depends what it is. I'm currently playing through the Tomb Raider survivor trilogy again after playing it in 2022, but I tend to play GTA 4 story all the way through at least once a year.
My husband and I love watching your videos, especially your vlogs (please do more). We were wondering if you have ever played any of the Mass Effect’s? Thankyou 😊
I replay games aswell as play new games usually taking it in turns except I play alot of the sims 4. I absolutely loved the last of us so I played it on ps3, ps4 then ps5 then for part 2 I played it on ps4 then ps5. It's the same with movies and TV shows I rewatch my favourites
I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve replayed multiple games, it’s true what your saying about the younger audience.. I feel like they just disregard games once completed. I reckon I’ve played through prime gears of war (1-3) more times than I’ve had Sunday dinners and I’m 31 so I’ve had many Sunday dinners since the gears of war 1 release 😂
I appreciate where the comment is coming from. If most people replayed their favourite games at the rate you did, they'd never play anything new, and there is an avalanche of good and great games coming out every single month. Obviously they've no business telling you what to do, but I also can't fault someone for not being able to empathise with your unique situation. I replay games like Fallout, Oblivion and such regularly. I could start a new Oblivion or Skyrim playthrough right now. But I can't let myself do it every time the mood strikes because I have a huge pile of games that I want to play, and I'll never get through them if I go back to old favourites too much. On average I'll play them every couple of years, but even now, I need to finish/restart Starfield, so I probably won't tough another Gamebryo/Creation Engine game until I get back to that. Speaking to your last point, this is a trait I've noticed of Younger GenZ quite a bit. They have a culture of "Having Done Something or Seen Something, or simply having something". This is why for example, they'll often be on their Phone when watching a movie, or in the cinema as you so often complain about. Appreciating the moment to moment experience of the media is simply not important to them. What is important is having seen it and therefore being able to interact with the memes on Snapchat and Tiktok from the film with full context. They can't comprehend why you would do something again because they don't value the experience of watching it in the moment, they care about the state of being having done the thing.
I can't fault someone for not being able to empathise, but I can fault someone for lacking the awareness that folk have different preferences, and hey, check out the comments on this video, Dude's not exactly showing himself to be someone of intelligence who's opinions can be deemed valuable
@@cayletalks Yeah, I noticed those comments. Unfortunately people who only care about being right are far too common on the internet. They're almost like Internet Karens. Not really worth engaging with.
I'm an achievement hunter so most of the time I will play a game and try and get all the achievements on them. Normally once I do get all achievements the chances of me playing the game again are very slim. Unless they release dlc or something. I don't play online unless I want to max out a game for achievements and there is online ones
As you say, I for some reason how a scratch to replay Batman Arkham games excluding origins because I don’t have it on disk or digital and I have played asylum city and knight numerous of times finished the last of us like 14 times for 15 I lost count play GTA5 story maybe like eight or nine times
Just going through Death Stranding again now on the Xbox but TLOU I’ve played 5 times across every console now and Dead Space 4 times with many Resi games at least twice. 😂
I don’t replay every game, but there are some of my favourite games that I have played multiple times 😊 also when will you play Kingdom Hearts? It’s one of the franchises ive played multiple times and look forward to the day that you play them /)
I find it difficult to play a game without going for the platinum… collecting all collectibles, beating all challenges etc… For example, when playing BioShock, I went for all collectibles, found all hidden rooms, completed on hardest difficulty & achieved 100% trophies. I can’t just complete a game on normal difficulty and rush through it… I like to take my time. Does anyone else have this problem?
To re-hash a topic kinda discussed to death - will digital only really kick off? given digital ownership is not ownership of game outright and just the license, will we see a revolt and gamers over time dropping console/PC gaming until it is somehow sorted? Can only imagine that as we move to more digital only content we will surely see an uptick in piracy of games.
9:24 I’m 19 and much prefer older games. Although I like newer games like Tlou 1&2 and Gow 2018 and Ragnarok, I just love older games, they have more soul to them idk how to explain it. I’ve got the platinum trophy for every GoW game and the old games just have something about them that the newer ones can’t capture. Currently playing through Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen, and it just has the charm and gameplay that new games can’t capture, Dragons dogma 2 was a flop for that exact reason. People who played the first game hated dragons dogma 2
To be honest I've never played Borderlands but I thought originally it was a Bethesda game but it's not, but the game play involves trying to find a vault doesn't it based on Fallout franchise? 😉 I played Fallout New Vegas to death on xbox and PC so not only is it good to replay a game but you should play tgem across different platforms to see how they differered and if they took out anything the otgers didn't 😊 but yea I will have to play the Borderlands franchise after now looking it up... So you are useful Kayle 😉👍
I can't believe how many games you beat every year 😮... That's amazing! What's the secret. 😅. Looking at the spreadsheet it looks like you beat alot of games in one day
I tried my best to get into borderlands years ago on ps3 and never did but I shall try again. If that’s one of your top games then so be it I don’t understand people with such idiotic comments I bet they’re the type of people to have their brightness high in the middle of a cinema showing…😂
i almost NEVER replay games because of how i approach them, typically unless the trophy list demands it I'll finish a game once while doing all the trophies and then I'll delete it and move on, even some of my favourite games of all time.
Same as that but achievements. Took me over 300 hours to do red dead 2 do I or do I want to play through it again? Nope even though it's one of the best games iv ever played story wise.
Certain games like The Last of Us and Uncharted I'll replay fairly reguarly. Games like The Witcher 3, Zelda ToTK or Cyberpunk, I don't plan to replay, at least for a long long time. I think when a game is that good, I want to just leave it on a high note
The Portal games are some of favourite of all time and I mostly play it for the story and seeing how fast I can beat each test chamber, I usually play them every 3-4 months though :D
It's the social media problem isn't it, it's why you almost never see folks with 100k plus followers in their comments, they make the content and move on
what an odd comment? Even if you didn't play new games so what? I don't play many and replay the fallout franchise, cyberpunk, Skyrim ect because thats what I enjoy. Is it fried tiktok brains that need constant change and new things?
When I watched the previous video of games you replay i was questioning it a bit because there was SO much borderlands and dark souls. Play what you want to play, if you love a game and want to experience it again, what’s the harm? 🤷🏻♂️😂
I replay loads of my favourite games I thought that was normal…
I always go back to red dead 2 every few months (don’t always finish it but I play it)

I’m so happy to see that you’ve played all the ninja gaiden games. I’m so desperate for a new modern next gen version of the game 😢
I tend to fall in love with a single game at a time, play it exclusive, complete it time and time again until I eventually burn our and then move onto something else

The Just Cause series is my no.1. I will play just because they're fun to explore and cause chaos
I play Just Cause just cause
I've played SSX Tricky on the PS2 countless times, I absolutely love it and it's probably my favourite game, just play what makes you happy and what you enjoy.
My fav game of all time is ‘metal arms glitch in the system’ on the ps2, I religiously play it every year because it’s just so good
I replay my favourites quite a lot really. Especially my older games, since I think those are designed better to replay
i think it depends on:

I'm 21 and I at least yearly go back and play dishonoured 1 because it's my favourite game of all time
I always reply games as well. Nothing wrong with that.
Play the games you want to play.
I tend to play Uncharted 1-4 once every 12-18 months because i love playing them.
bloodborne i have completed around 12 times and i am going to do another run next week
Fromsoftware games are the only games I consistently replay. I occasionally replay Fallout:New Vegas aswell

I have replayed lots of my games. As so many great games available to reply 😊
I treat games like films, I don’t revisit many games except from a few favourites. Admittedly I don’t play games nearly as much as you.

I replay my favourite games quite often I must literally have over 600 hours out of the entire Uncharted franchise
hi cayle, do you think borderlands 4 will be good, also which bl games art style do you think it should have

I play the same games as it is nastalga and it can be a way to bring us back into love of things where we may have fergotten
Very rarely replay games dont play often so 1 new game could take me a month so have a massive backlog
Currently replaying RD2
I don’t replay every game, but there are some of my favourite games that I have played multiple times 😊 also when will you play Kingdom Hearts? It’s one of the franchises ive played multiple times and look forward to the day that you play them /)

Cayle what do you class a beating a game eg till the credits play or 100% with every trophy, achievement
I replay games once, maybe twice

This may be a stupid question but have you ever played the Dead Space games

If u had a rough guess what would ur average hours per game beat be?
Also how come you made a game log.... Something I have never actually seen someone do before ???
I tried my best to get into borderlands years ago on ps3 and never did but I shall try again. If that’s one of your top games then so be it I don’t understand people with such idiotic comments I bet they’re the type of people to have their brightness high in the middle of a cinema showing…😂
