Since the age of 7 when I was given Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy. The Who have been my fav band. Have never missed a UK gig since 1989. You beautiful souls thank you for the happiness. And God Bless Mr Bill Curbishley who gave me and my so. Back stages passes for Wembley. M
It may not have the same energy as The Rock & Roll Circus, but to have a professionally filmed version of The Who performing A Quick One after 45 years have passed, playing it as well as they did, is a rare and historic gift.
ZAC STARKEY'S Great Keith Moon-esque style of Drumming on ''SPARKS'' the end of Amazing Journey is a Tribute to Not just Moon, but the entire Brilliant Music and what THE WHO Still represent, Awesome Playing from Zac and the TWO ORIGINAL Legends.....
Tommy an incredible experience having seen the film as a teenager a heartwarming reverie and seeing the Broadway show with my late husband Vinny. Innovative and ingenious and metamorphic like Gupta Golden Dynasty Art and Architecture Ranakpur Jainism Temple.
Kenney Jones was the best after Moon. Problem was he had the unenviable task of having to be the first drummer for the Who after Moon, while the group was still under a recording contract and at a time when Pete's writing priority was focused more on his solo stuff. Also, when Jones joined the group he made a conscious decision to not sound like Moon, for good or bad. From what I've read about it, Pete was good with that, but Roger....not so much. However, anyone who thinks he couldn't play the drums in a style similar to Moon's ought to check out his work with the Faces. Not exactly like Moon, but pretty close. Whereas by the time they got to Zack, everyone agreed they wanted his drumming to be as much like Moon's as possible. Of course he's younger, so that helps. But in his prime, Jones was better, technically speaking as well as being much more powerful. He gets bashed a lot by hard core fans, of which I am one, but I think it's somewhat unwarranted. To be fair, he's not totally without blame as he didn't offer a lot creatively on Face Dances and It's Hard. But in my opinion, his drumming during live shows was better than anyone who came after him, generally speaking.
@@petebradt Tend to Agree Johno, ZAC playing Sparks @ 25:16 here at the End of Amazing Journey, would easily run rings around Kenny Jones.. i m h o . Not many Drummers had the chance to sit in at Rehearsals like Zac Starkey did as a Young lad to observe MOON, look listen and learn.
Zack is awesome! I liked Kenny Jones, too (check out their "Rockpalast"-Gig, it's awesome). Simon Phillips (who is probably the most amazing drummer of all of them) was disappointing for me in The Who - simply not a good fit. But Zack: He fits this band like a glove!
Keith Moon was ZAK'S GODFATHER . SO there's a connection. Zak fills in nicely for MOONIE . Simon Phillips another great drummer and Kenny Jones. Zak there best fit after Kieth Moon. That Classic Lineup had that fire . THE WHO here is good . But sorry it's just not the same. I would still see them. Seen them back in the Day. Just unforgettable. Couldn't touch them LIVE back then.
Shame that the last song featured here was teasing a wonderful journey of the Who's concert here at RAH, but hopefully the full thing shows up someday.

Two great human beings. Oh. Did I mention that they kick ass rock. The absolute BEST rock band ever.
They sound fookin brilliant, and Zak Starkey is the perfect 'substitute' for Moony.

"PIctures of Lily" sounded wonderful ! Maybe their very best live version ever ! Rarely played songs on here; great !
So true !! Very rare LIVE Luis
Pictures of Lily is my favorite who song. This one sounded pretty tame...
I was at this and can see my bald head in several shots-Superb gig x
The only bald head I can see is Pete's.... OMG... are you Pete? 😄
Andy Miller I’m a little jealous. No. A lot jealous.
the sound is awesome , new respect for Zak

''Sparks ''- @ 25:16 /'/' Zach Starkey ROCKS !!!
Cheeky by Rog/Pete: the Lily of opening song was mistress of the son of the Prince Albert for whom the concert hall is named.
Well that's interesting! Thx
Ms Langtry a leggy legend.
It ain't many times Pete forgets his own lyrics, but what the hell its still top notch, a great version of a quick one.
Fantastic Drummer!!!
I just can't believe how great that drummer is! He's filling big shoes and filling them well!!!
Son of a Ringo
In 2015 the Who and their band were again in top form. A Who concert is always good when Pete is having fun and you can hear his guitar really loud :)

Zach Starkey (yeah) He Rocks!
more tan Amazing
LOVE THE WHO
So sad not to hear the John's high voice in the "you are forgiven" part :(
Zack is way the best drummer they've had after Mooney passed away.

@@davemakarchuk5127 Kenny Jones was, is, and will always be, a hack.
So true 200% Don't forget as a kid he used to watch KEITH MOON when Ringo brought him into the Studio. Very Fluid Moon sounding style indeed !!.

J'avais ce concert complet en DVD je ne comprends pas pourquoi il n'y que 4 titres ? Super concert ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
I just can't stop watching and listening to this!!
Amazing. Worth it for 'A Quick One' alone.
Just great songs and many memories of my Tommy cd’s... i had 4... all totally played through and through
The Magic Bus is still Magic.Wow.
Loved it! I donated 10 English pounds and would gladly do it again for this level of performance and audio quality! Feels good!
Off the hook!!!
Awesome drum sound and playing!
Playing is on point as usual from Zak...The sound is helped by the triggers on all drums
This is awesome. Needs more views

Is this live
No mate, says at the start 2015
Nah, this is a partially archived concert from 2015.
Still really good, though.

Shark doo doo
shame on Daltrey and Townsend to leave the rest of the band in the dark
Just play tunes we know
over rated drummer just bcos hes ringos kid
Ah yes, and that's why he's been playing with The Who for over 20 years, gotcha
