Whoops, you just guaranteed her abandonment by black library when you said she was an interesting character and you want her to return.
Good.
i was reading from her just now and it's 10:17pm, what does that tell you?
"No sister has ever fallen to chaos!"
"But what about that-"
"NO SISTER HAS EVER FALLEN TO CHAOS"
A kid who did something so messed up she made a Night Lord go...
".....DAUGHTER? Here, have a knife."
Night Lords accidentally help create Chaos Saint. Common Night Lords W.
Nightlords the legion of girlfailures that fail upwards
It only cost us another one of our named characters…
Wouldn’t living saints of chaos just be…deamon princes?
Makes sense to me
Yes'nt living saints and demons work very differently if anything living saints work more similarly to chaos champions than demon princes as living saints are not part of emps (as far as we know) while demons are and living saints will not just insta die if they cant have a connections to the warp like demons
@@elasirio6419 so Ahriman, Typhus, Lucius and Kharn would effectively be Chaos Saints... Idk how to feel about that...
@@jusquanorthwind1016 They are not demon princes. But champions of a chaos god.
@@Turnil321 Yes and that was what the comment I replied to was saying, that the champions are closer to a living saint than the daemon princes are.
to be fair, some baseline human characters in the chaos roster would open up story opportunities
I've personally always considered Living Saints to essentially be the Emperor's own version of Daemon Princes, since both are (more or less) immortal Warp entities
Possible hot take; livings saints are literally just the imperial equivalent of daemon princes, formerly mortal being who's empowered by and now serves the will of their chaos sugar daddy, just golden with angel wings and doves instead of.....skulls and nipple piercings
A lot of them have skulls too actually
They might have nipple piercings too actually, a lot of the sisters seem like masochists
I guarantee you that this is true, and I will die on your hot take hill.
Not too hot of a take. Id say thats the common folk explanation till confirmed. Its set up to be that obvious might as well go with it.
Preach brother
I like the narrative style. It is somehow calming and attention grabbing in the best way possible
Soothing tone with sarcastic/entertaining delivery. First vid of his I've watched, and it certainly wont be the last
I didn't.😂 The way he talks makes me tired. Not that I hate him or anything. It's just the cadence, like talking to someone who's trying to weasel out of a job saying he's tired or something like. Add the occasional stammering. 😅
God damn, she would be a brilliant foil to Celestine. Celestine comes to the aid of humanity when they're threatened by external forces, fighting in the Emperor's name. Lethe comes to the aid of humanity when they are oppressed by the Imperium, fighting in the name of the Ruinous Powers. When they fight, they'll be forced to confront one anothers' ideologies and realize they fight towards the same ideals from polar opposite directions.
No? She's just some chick who stabs people and runs.
Sisters of Battle: hey Lethy, blame this on the misfortune of your birth.
She sounds like a potential saint of chaos undivided/-decided with the backing of an imperial saint who's had enough. Hell, it could even be a speck of the Emperor, as he's effectively been worshipped into a quasi-god despite rejecting the very concept of such.
I haven't read The Death of Saints books yet, but I loved your first video about it. I am glad to see this since I was quite curious about what happens to Lethe.
I am happy to see this video and I do agree, she is as close to a Dark Living Saint as we have.
WHERE SPACE SHARK?
I think of Space Sharks and all I hear is TheGamingStoryreller saying "If not friend then why friend shaped?"
*hears street sharks theme in head*
THE SPACE BLAHAJS
YES
Space Aquarium
Hi Arthur, they changed the length of the Indomitus Crusade some time ago. The Unnumbered Sons were disbanded a dozen or so years after it started.
I Love the smaller stories of characters in chaos
I very much believe it was the voice of a saint that guided her out to freedom, since it makes sense she wasn’t entirely loyal to the Death of Saints and simply used her to kill her brother when he was weakened.🐱
I'm actually really shocked she wasn't executed instead of imprisoned. I mean she had the head of a Saint.
The Imperium has killed for far less.
Morvehn Vahl specifically ordered her to be taken and turned into what I think was a penitent engine? So she suffers for killing Aleyna instead of having a quick death.
My working theory/headcanon is that Saints are just Emperor's Deamon Princes. They are not fugly because the IDEA of emperor is Regal and Orderly not Insanity and Chaos
I would like to correct you on how she ended that man during her escape. She didn’t finish him with the maul. She literally tossed it to the side when he was defeated and beat him with her bare hands until she was interrupted by Kol. He gave her the knife, and she makes a cut that’s described as “the first of many” before it fades to black.
She was off the deep end literally out of the gate
So living saint of chaos = a chaos champion? In the Fabious Bile Trilogy, there's a woman elevated to a champion of Slanesh and thrived within an Emperor's Children Warband.
Weshammer did a video on Sisters that fell to Chaos. There's apparently a name for the first sister that ever fell and it sounds like she might be on the trajectory to being something like a Living Saint of Chaos.
I love how this video ties together some of the other topics you have covered. Seeing another side of the saint skull story was really cool. Thanks!
You should go over the Saint of the necrons, Trazyn!
Saint of the Necrons? He's the Patron Saint AND Spirit Animal of Nerds, Geeks and Otaku of all stripes.
VRRAAAAAAKSS!!! GIVE ME A INTERSPECT ON IT AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!!
Fun fact: Lithy (Λήθη) means Oblivion in Greek :)
Ended up here after playing Space Marines 2. Really enjoy your channel's topics and narration style. Keep it up!!
I enjoyed it. Hope for more in this style from time to time.
And yes, the narrative focused videos are good
If I was looking for a chaos saint who wasn't personally breaking others down then Cyrene might have fit the bill?
first requirement of being a saint is you have to be a hot dommy mommy
I got the audio book for this, I'm glad you're still recommending as it probs means there's still a lot you havent covered
I’m currently working on my Chaos Sisters of Battle for an upcoming crusade campaign. Their leader is a chaos saint that has been blessed by Malal. I have a bunch of lore for this chaos order logged into my brain, but I need to put it on paper lol!
Living saints are Imperial Daemon princes.
Love the Chaos Angel at the beginning lol
I’m new to your channel and absolutely love this video and the Death of Saints video. Please do more!! 👏
An entire Warband of Uzas sounds incredible to me. I absolutely loved Uzas.
Knights of Abhorrence? or a what the fuck is the Ghoul stars? ( Day 5 )
Mechanically, Angron.
Crazy lore for today. Thanks man
To be fair Khrone (fantasy version at least) might help in that endeavor.
He found a really good female fighter and left her with a shot to become a deamon princess... She died as her opponent cheated and so he called fowl and made her ascend anyway.
So now there is a daemonic winged 'angel' who flies down to help Shepard the souls of good chaos worshipers.
So a Saint Of Chaos might not be that far fetched... Khorne might even bring back Death of Saints to act as her bodyguard.
Though like most GW interesting concepts it shall be left on a shelf to collect dust rather than be explored.
As I know a lot of people want to see clone Fulgrim appear again and either go full loyalist son or face up against his Daemonic Prince and see just how far the original had fallen.
Especially since the good old Necron Collector had collected the clone primach for his collection and the whole 13th black crusade mystical chaos bell broke a lot of his containment units letting a bunch of his collection run free and escape the planet (or eat each other).
I really enjoyed this video. Lethe seems like a very interesting character
I dig her story. Well done.
I really liked this format
Like chaos hasn't enough respawnable already.
Fine, you've convinced me. I'll read the damn book
from all the imagery around her (fighting for survival, despair, resentment and this roting head with maggots) I thought she will end up as Nurgle cultist/champion
Saint Sly Marbo Would like to introduce you to his pet barking toad
wow you totally forgot about the ultimate chaos saint, cultist-chan...
I have yet to read Spear of Faith, but I find it funny as a sisters player is that. In a Sisters of battle Book, the most interesting characters are not sisters of battle.
This may not actually be the case in the book itself just the thought I had.
regardleas great video
Chaos angle great choice
Wouldn’t it be a “Chaos Sinner”?
Kinda reminds me of valkia the bloody in a way...
I mean maybe she would be a special herald of khorne since she shines more on desperation and oppression which in a sense, khorne has that theme. I think there's a book in age of sigmar about a rebel leader falling into khorne due to injustice, and thats what probably GW is going for...
Maybe a video on how all the different chapters interact with each other?
Night lord dif yet again, #1 space marines
I liked this style of video and Leafy's(?) story. I hope that they bring her back along with DoS.
Ooh, if we are fan theorising about non imperial living saints, what about Shadowsun as a living Saint of T'au'va.
Could be pretty cool and kinda makes sense with where her story is going.
Angron is the Celestine of Chaos, change my mind.
Ha Ha! Jokes on you Arthur, I already bought and am reading/listening to the book thanks your death of saints video! (Loving it by the way, Judy Reid really sells the whole sisters faith. The conflict of what’s morally right and what’s right of the faith is supper interesting)
DAMNIT TIMMY!!
huh...neat. And congrats on 109k!
Why is this story so good lmao
I need Lethe to become a Chaos Saint, and I need her to resurrect the Death of Saints.
YES LONGER! MAKE THEM LONGER!!
If I'm not mistaken, saints and Sisters of Battle powers work when without access to the Warp, yes?
Which would make them not psykers, hmm
Omg is that a guardsman with a bolter o.o 1:24
This vid and the death of saints vid are really well done
Nice, she is now my favourite 40k character
I thought the Indomitus was retconned to have lasted 10 years not 100.
This was awesome, I have to read the book
All power in the 40k universe ultimately stems from Chaos. Even Imperial Living Saints. So of course Chaos could replicate the power of a saint if they wanted to.
Wrong
@@jjandre7032 All psychers up to the Emperor himself draw their power from the warp. That's canon. That's why sanctioned psychers have at least one guy with them whose job is to put a bullet in their head if they start going to Chaos. Imperial living sAints as discussed here are likely latent psychers who channel their power thought their idea of faith. Thus a woman who channels their psycher potential through faith in Chaos Undivided and due to their upbringing is only familiar with the Sister of Battle's living saints is going to manifest it in their ideal of a Dark Saint because what they know.
Living Saints can function in areas of low warp such as the pariah nexus or near a tyranid swarm, but this is likely a function of how Imperial faith is a separate power source from the warp
@@Halford_Steel Or more likely as indicated here the Saints are powered by the Warp energy collected by the Astronomicon and then channeled through the Emperor's spirit to the Saints. This energetic workaround would allow the Saints to operate in low Warp areas by having it broadcast to them by remote.
@@ravendelacour1917 okay then how do you factor in the Great Rift which blocks light of the astronomicon, but Living Saints function on the lightless side?
She seemed nice.
This was really nice
Saint of Killers
good video as usual :) thank you for making it
*HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!*
Not sure about the name choice but she sounds pretty awesome, GW should make a book trilogy or something like that about her.
I kind of hope she gets to become a demon prince
Catacooms…
Noooooo, I have to finish reading Vahl before I can enjoy this
I liked it a lot! I’m gonna read the book
Great video!
*internal screaming from yugioh chaos angel ptsd*
4:10 When I saw this I laugh my ass off at the sight of the logo the juice company that I usually drink on breakfast🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Overpriced drinks 😤😤
Arthur - could you cover the Imperial Webway Project?
I love it.
because you said please , i will leave a like and as always, Into the fires of Battle!
Here waiting for Carcharodons
More blood bowl
Malal Saint
Also FUCK YEAH DEATH OF SAINTS
JAGO SEVATAR WHEN
Yo make a video on who is the most interesting chaos champion
Hello mr "i digress" arthur. I freakin love your videos man
Wouldn't a "chaos saint" be a daemon prince?
I am once again asking you for Novamarines
Fabius bile
Kharn
Question for someone who's read the book, what is the name of the warband that the Death of Saints leads? Is it ever stated? Or is it just the Night Lords?
Any chance of a red corsairs video?
