I'm from Poland so the time difference forces me to skip the streams, but goddamn I'm so glad they're on youtube - it's such a valuable learning experience and your sense of humour makes it twice as fun 💪🎉
this legit makes my day. when I heard this production it blew my mind and I had to stop driving and just listen. then played it back for the remaining 30minutes of driving I had on loop. there are so many aspects beyond just the production/organization that makes it special, but that you streamed a breakdown of the constituent parts just paints me as beyond grateful. its one of the most subtly put together things ive heard in any pop context but is about as complicated as a mutt Lange production- while sounding intimate and small still. fantastic and one of my all time favorite songs, period. been obsessing over music since I was 12 and this makes my top 10 easily and I don't think that'll change the remainder of my life. thanks Ian kirkpatrick you're truly for the people
omg I thought I was crazy or doing dog ears on first listen thinking "I swear to god there's just a sine drone happening the whole fucking song wtf is this producer a madman hahahah" its little gems like this and some of the transient layers that make you a goat
I believe the harmonic phenomena that occurs with an extreme eq slope is the result of phase. The frequency right before the cutoff is being boosted due to phase shift.
Thank you for sharing this with us! It's fucking more than usefull to listen such experienced producer. And helping not to give up on myself, it means a lot
This shit just blew my mind, sounds like 3 tracks and is made off of 50. This thing has not even 3000 views after 10 days that's insane. Thanks Ian Kirkpatrick
Ians brain goes back to old daw-session, Ians mouth is delivering the stream of consciousness. It's .... ahh.. let's see.... kind of like.... oh, by the way, did I...? Uhm, ah no sorry, forget it.....(giggles) forget it.....(burps) what was I going to say? Ah, it's great!
@@iankirkpatrick no attack, just making fun of it. I'm an old school funk guy, but the last Dua Lipa album which I find mind-boggingly good, brought me to you. I'm loving your work, very inspiring.

You're awesome bro
Maaan, Reason + Cubase. Legend!
man I just discovered that ... reason as a plugin is so fire the way the load chopped up beats is so liiit
the finest combination for extreme creativity and control is running Reason inside Bitwig. I don't think anything can beat that yet.
Gotta say, your streams got me back into producing aswell.
Thanks IAN for being our free teacher 🔥
