- I found the rarest gems at the bottom of the map in this game.
I still have a lot further to go, but these gems and ores are getting ridiculously valuable, so I'm happy to force my team to keep digging.

You can spend the little rainbow things in the upgrade menu just under the gold coin on the left side. I got a little frustrated just watching him ignore the rainbows, they unlock some powerful upgrades.

Pretty sure he does this on purpose to disgruntle viewers so he can 'discover' it in future videos. DF isn't THAT stupid. Still great content.
agree with travis. Part of the fun is seeing him be a determined doofus and improving to the point where he breaks the game

I love that DF either breaks a game with their efficiency or they completely miss a critical mechanic. There is no in between 😂

And this is a prime example of DF, extreme planning and patience. Enough to beat and make any game bend to whatever whims he wishes
And yet for the whole video he didn't see the very obvious tab to spend the extra currency making the game harder for himself. Truly majestic

By the way, the store where you can spend those rainbow things is a tab on the left side, there are two tabs that go down the left side of the upgrade screen. I assume you already noticed it in editing but if not, I hope this helps.
another fustrating thing is that he spending thousands on him self just to get +1 of some thing but he could also get the same effect for 200 if he just spent it on his employes

It’s totally worth upgrading the small guy, since it alternates what type of thing the minor gets when you upgrade them!

no its really prolly not on purpose, he tunneled vision literally so he focused too much ''inside'' the window square that he didn't noticed there was more ''ouside'' that window, and i trully believe it because i spent all the video looking for the place he was missing and only found out because of the comments doing exactly the same as df xD

I am in awe at the sheer Lazer focused tunnelvision on trying to maximize efficiency that allowed him to completely look over a tab he was SO close to mousing over so many times. It makes me want to watch him play factorio

The fact that the option for the rainbow upgrades is actual; soo obvious and the amount of times he mentions that he can not see it makes me think that the not seeing the obvious thing is just a ploy DF is using to keep people engaged and watching his videos in the hope he finally spots it. You cant hover the mouse that close to the solution multiple times and not see it.

When you open the upgrade menu theres a tab near the top left with the rainbow stuff
Sometimes I can't tell if he intentionally ignores stuff to be funny. I mean, he is sitting there with the games running for hours- I would think that much curiosity would be enough to find the button. It's all a ploy to secure our emotions into wanting to point out the button to him.

DF always finds a way to grind past without using special items, like those rainbow gems. Btw incase your reading this it was the second tab in the buying menu in the left. Idk how DF beats every game and at the end realises he missed a core part of the game that would've made it much easier

What's funny is on the upgrade menu on the left side is a second tab with rainbow ore on it. I'm guessing that's where you spend it. Everytime he opens it up I'm like " he's going to see it this time".

To be honest DF, i didn't see the tab on the left for the rainbows either until i looked at the comments half way through the video. Hahaha.
I think what happened was that it blended into the black wall sort of, as for the rainbow, im sure you would get use to the various stone colors in your bag that those colors are overlooked.
Leaf Blower Evolution had a pretty big update it would be cool to see you try to beat it again!!

The upgrades with the rainbow stuff are in another tab of the upgrade menu. Yoj can switch tabs by opening the upgrade menu and clicking in the rainbow stuff symbol in the upper left corner.

The rainbow thingy you can spend on the left side in the upgrade menu there is the rainbow icon under the coin.
DF is the embodiment watching your younger brother play video games and not being able to help him.
I hope there's a second video and it saves his materials for the next plau through so he can see the rainbow tab and just buy it all! Haha
