Nice one Riccardo! That's Italy: sun, lovely historical towns, good food and friendly people. I missed Castellina just, as I went in that holiday to Monteriggione and after that to Volterra. I had done San Gimignano and Poggibonsi and after that many nice places in Chianti already. In the end you cannot visit them all.
Ciao Stroop,always glad to meet here once again. Oh... not the most historical town, but since the Chianti area became famous I didn't have to miss it) I liked it, very tiny, very tidy. Indeed, it would take a lot of time to visit them but... I'm now into this mission, I will)

This video expertly captures the apparent charm of Castellina in Chianti. It is a beautiful, well-kept little village, as you said. The cobblestone streets, the historic architecture, the beautiful plants and flowers, every frame showcased the enchanting region. Aloha Ric! I need a lot of catching up to do. Just came back from two weeks in Portugal after retiring a few months ago. I may go back to Italy next year, hopefully before the new requirements for passports come into action. I miss it because Italy's my first love. Architektur ist ok, aber angenehm für einen Nachmittag.Mir geht es gut, viel besser, ich entspanne mich in diesen Tagen. When you have seen one town in central Italy, you have seen all of them, although each has a different character. This one is also surrounded by greenery mountains. This walk is not very long and I really enjoyed it. Lots of people outside with their shops open, what a difference it makes. A small town indeed with only one church. I even went back a second time just to look at some streets again. Thanks for the video.
Esther, I was sure you would have enjoyed it, as it was quite a crowded (not so much though) place for such a tiny town. Not the most architecturally rich perhaps, not so famous in its history and can't boast a rich past as others,but it's an enjoyable place. The Chianti area is somehow a world on its own I found out.
