His music is just so beautiful, and it's so great to see people my age who also like him. When I first started listening to this type of music, I would try to convince myself not to because I thought it was weird to like it since I didn't know anyone my age who did. But I'm so lucky to have some friends now who do. Music has been such a big part of me, and I think I would call him one of my favorites.

This song continues to bring me to tears, just as Jeff's work has. Its a shame to lose such great talent and it hurts to know that Tim didn't find huge success with his work. I have an immense variety of music I listen to and love, from classical to old r &b and blues to east Indian to reggae to rock to jazz to whatever, and I can definitively say that music today in general is on a downward spiral and Jeff and Tim could stand up against ANYthing made today and kick anyone and everyone's butts. Tim Buckley performed at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia in 1968 or 69. I sat on the floor in front, a very small venue. Gypsy Woman was my favorite song. I still miss him.
Im certain I have heard his music befor but I heard 'I Once Was ' recently and its like Im seeing dimentions of his music that I never before realized.That song especially is truely timeless.

Tim Buckley performed in his last concert on this day in 1975 {June 28th} in Dallas, TX... Sadly, the very next day he passed away at the young age of 28... Make he R.I.P.
First off, I'm not a dude, I'm a woman. Second, yes I *am* referring to mainstream but also to music in general these days. I guess that wasn't a completely fair statement I made... There *are* artists around today who put their heart and soul into their music. No one will ever compare though. It's just not the same as it used to be.
