I've been waiting for this for such a long time now, I'm so happy it's here and that I can share this news with you guys! I haven't done an unboxing video... like ever, so sorry if this is a little messy lol!

Two games I've enjoyed that really show off the controller are Ratchet & Clank and Returnal!
One thing I'd recommend (if your capture card allows it) is to record your footage at 60fps.
It might mean some larger files but looks really nice & smooth on youtube. 🔥
yeah Ratchet & Demons Souls are for sure the best looking games on the system.

I always love watching people use the dualsense for the first time. Glad you managed to get a console, now you've got a lot of catching up to do!
For next gen stuff I love Returnal, though it can be tough. It's got coop though, so you've always got the option to get a friend help.
I'd recommend checking out Ghost of Tsushima as it has a 60 fps patch and I know you enjoyed the game.

The playroom is such a fun demo. It showcases all the neat features of the new controller, is loaded with a ton of cute references, and is overall just a solid 3D platformer.

Yay! I got mine last week after months of trying! I hope you have fun on the new machine! Astro's Playroom definitely shows off the controller really well. I was most impressed when Astro tippy-taps on the ice.
4:13 That is the stand for the PS5. I found it pretty handy to avoid the PS5 from tipping over.
12:45 I think you just punched a clicker, with Joel and Ellie hiding behind the pillar. There are reference to so many games. If you see a guy holding camera filming something, it is a reference to a game.

Also I wanted to say with Astro's playroom every time you see that character hold up a camera he's pointing at the astrobots cosplaying as PlayStation characters from different games the fun part is trying to guess which game there reenacting like the Last of Us or God of War. You might want to invest in an extra ssd to have more space for future games I recommend Seagate firecuda

Woohoo! Congrats Erin! I saw the notification for this vid. at work and could not stand the half hour wait till break time when I could watch it! Also glad the vid was 15 minutes, like my break. Groovy! I had a smile during the entire vid and am super pumped for you. I really like that purty blue controller too. The Astro game is actually a full length game and is quite good too. If you have an external USB3 drive, you can transfer/store your PS4 games on itI have a 5Tb western digital black that was quite reasonable and way more than enough for all my PS4 games. I have like 75 games plus the ones I downloaded. Then you should upgrade your PS5 storage and dont forget the heatsink for the upgrade media. I have a 2Tb Western digital Black in mine. Works awesome.

Okay. First of all, Congrats. Its FINALLY HERE!! Since I don't intend to purchase a PS5, I don't know how hard it is, but it may have been probably hard, so I would say, great. Anyway, lets talk about the Astro's Playroom, first of all, that cute little blue robot is PlayStation brand's new mascot Astro. 2nd, at around 12:50, that robot you beat was actually a reference to The Last of Us, if you looked closely, you would also see Joel and Ellie. Also, at the moment you died for the 1st time, there was also a Horozon Zero Dawn reference. In short, while Astro's Playroom is largely a tech demo showcasing the features of DualSense, it is also packed with refernces to many games. Finally, the "Playroom" is actually taking place in your "PS5" and that cyte creature inside glass in CPU Plaza is actually the CPU of your PS5. Show it some love.

hi! I can understand you're very excited! Been a gamer since the Commodore 64 days. I had every Nintendo console except for the original NES and Wii. And i had every Playstation since the first one came out. I was one of the lucky ones to get my PS5 pretty early but i always like to see other gamers get their Playstation (or GPU or XBOX/Nintendo/Other console...) Right now, i have al three main systems. I do love everything about these new consoles. Some people say it's not a big difference but those people have clearly not yet had a PS5 or Series X in their hands!
The loading (well, lack of loading actually, there almost isn't any loading time anymore if any, depending on the game.), The systems are fast and quiet. I recently bought a PS3 again to have those games that aren't available anywhere else and let me tell you: The loading/waiting on game installs, the loading of the browser for the PSN store (on the PS3 it was a completely different interface, it wasn't baked into the menu remember?) So it needed to load up etc... Man, i'm happy those day's are over! I just wish Sony would bring those games to PS5 and i would be so happy. Right now i'm in to collecting games and different type of consoles. Specially the PS1 & 3 systems and the SNES/MegaDrive.
Anyway, sorry for my rambling, but i love talking about that stuff and i'm really happy for you! This is what it should have been from the start! Seeing everyone happy! With whatever console of their choosing! Loved the video! Keep going! 😎
Oh, one more thing: That Astrobot's Playroom is a game EVERYONE SHOULD play once they get their Playstation 5! 🤖

Congratsss!! Getting a ps5 is no easy feat with all the scalping going around. Highly recommend trying a game called uncharted which is pretty similar to tomb raider!! One of the best playstation exclusives ever!!!!

WOOOOOOO!!! CONGRAAAATS ERIN 🎈🎈🎈 Lucky you. PS5s here have the opposite problem. They've been super available right from the start but they cost the equivalent of a 1000 dollars 😭 Still waiting for the day I get to experience the PS5 controller everyone raves about when they get the system.
Btw the Astro game is actually really dope and contains a butt load of cameos/references to PS games and series throughout the ages. You could totally play it just to check them out and the game itself is quite a fun, short platformer.
Also, that's an awesome second controller. Enjoy yourself. Those who donated are definitely cool, generous people but you also earned it by providing us with entertainment 😄
