Man I wish I was gifted the arm to throw 99 as a senior. Topped out at 85 my freshman year then got tendinitis in my elbow now I barely hit 81. Go far man 💯
I threw 92 as a soph...but went on a church trip to Myrtle Beach that summer where they have those "See How Fast You Can Throw" booths. I didn't warm up. They gave me 3 baseballs. First one was 85. Second one was 89. Third one didn't make it to the backstop. People gasped when they heard a sound like a branch breaking, but it was my rotator cuff shredding. I immediately went down with my shoulder burning like it was on fire. I never threw another baseball after that day. I feel for ya bro. I can relate.
That pitch ended up all the way in the right-hander's box. It was nowhere near the outside edge of the plate. That blue just, um, "blue" that call. Ha-ha!

I remember these games like it was yesterday. This kid has 100mph in him. Motion is Kerry wood like. However I’d like to see him improve his mechanics. I blew my arm out throwing the same exact way.....across my body and using mostly arm.
Bruh.. gun is not juiced, was pretty sync'd up with Trackman, but maybe I juiced that too :) His spin rates are right around MLB average on the fastball

You dont see that in high school too often because kids dont know how to listen to their body. He's a little out front with his body, like leaning forward towards home, but the timing is still decent. And the way the ball comes out of his hand is perfect. Not such a loose follow through like a lot of young hard throwers. Think Forrest Whitley. Its tighter, more like Roger Clemens.

The fastball/changeup combo I think is going to be this guys cream of the crop. But he does have a really nice CB, doesn’t hurt to add a little to the arsenal. Should have at LEAST 3 pitches as a starter.
Not uncommon for HS kids... usually a little amp'd up early throwing firmer... then settles in at lower velocity..... had Jared Jones up to 99 in one outing in HS, settled in like 93-96
Bruh I had a couple guys on my team top at 97 and this guy was probably topping 95 maybe 96. Still incredibly fast but that is definitely juiced 3ish mph

But right now his arm speed when he’s throws the change is significantly slower and any big league hitter would be able to see it,he’s got more than enough time and it’ll get fixed tho
