He values his artistic freedom too much. With Ren, it really is all about the music. Sam's not bad but it says everything that he accepted the first label contract that he was offered.

So they did some songs together, like Blind Eyed or What went wrong (pt. 1&2) and I don't know if you noticed, but Ren was actually in the music video for your first Sam reaction! Sams a bit of a one trick pony for me. He does that one trick well, despite the odd note that's flat or off-key, but that's all he does, over and over again. No subtlety or nuance. No understanding of vocal light and shade. Ren is something else entirely. Vocally alone he's on another level entirely! Never mind his seemingly endless string of other musical talents. Ren DOES have subtlety and nuance, almost delicacy at times. He DOES understand vocal light and shade! His vouce is full of character and emotion and his tone is sublime! What's more, he has more power, a greater vocal range and his control is immaculate! However I've noticed that most people are overly and easily impressed by singing in a high pitch, almost to the exclusion of every other vocal consideration. So many think, bizarrely, that Sam has the better voice. Which is incredible to me. You'll find a Sam or two in every tv talent show going. You won't find a Ren there. He's a totally unique artist! A musical genius, who's on another level entirely! :)
