the hotfix thing is so true. Don't know why they're so hesitant to fix issues like that (unless its a massive time-sink or something for that specific bug)
Biggest obstacle in the way of the alpha’s success currently is the paid founders pack and what you receive from it , versus hunting down an alpha key .
When you charge your loyal fanbase / community a minimum of 30 dollars to try the game, double their legacy gems that can be used to split costs of newly inflated cost cosmetics , and a Ymir skin. You then get into a great looking and crisp feeling game , only to get hit with the nuttiest , and honestly hilarious bugs you’d see in a moba . If they dropped the price to like 15-20 , included the neith skin in base (had two extra skins for the middle option instead), 3 ascension pass vouchers that can be used on ANY god not just the ones they specified, and most importantly an invite to alpha system where if you bought it you get a certain number of free invites so friends can try it without paying . It’d mitigate the gripe about buying to play a broken game .
Ascension passes are cool. I don't mind paying a few bucks for the pass on my favorite gods and I get more rewarded for progressing and it makes it more fun to grind one God.
Honestly the only valid complaints i can think of that really aren't a needed change to smite 2 is the interaction button being practically useless besides just a fun idea the devs wanted to try out and the cherrypicking vibe the game has. Besides those two things the only personal complaint I have about the game is that we don't get options for god abilities and changes their making to some gods like zeus having a new 2nd ability, I would have loved if they gave you the choice of having the shield at the lack of stun on the 3 or with the 2 at least let you choose if you cast it on yourself or a teammate to give buffs for.
Yeah, I love having ability upgrades that give a new ability or add an extra effect like Heroes of the Storm, Pokémon Unite and Deadlock. It makes it feel like a new kit. Sadly, people would just mostly use the meta options.
As someone that adors Sol and always has, they should definitely add a portion of her passive that reduces how much crit applies to her basics. Her passive mixes far too well with crit and it would be better to reduce her ability to benefit from crit than to nerf crit for everyone.
If you're going crit on Sol, you're already giving up all of your ability damage (all of her abilities scale with only INT) and many other potential stats though so idk if it's a big problem in this current version of her kit
Maybe cuz I play on console but I haven't experienced any "game breaking" bugs. It was never meant to be a full game. The only reason I go back to smite one is just because of more gods
@@youngbouyoub2696 I kinda want to make a reddit post about the issues of each of the more cancerous gods so they avoid it. Example Bakasura is too reliant on invades Arachnes ult is basicall only an escape and she heals too much for the damage she deals Nox's main combo should have never been so cc heavy, she needs more incentive to ult before a fight and her passive is garbage Erlang, too much engage and free damage because his damage isnt as ability based, great example of a god whos unfightable due to too much cc and damage when the god gets a buff of thier items. Same for Kali and Freya. Although maybe since everyone swings so hard in smite 2 the characters with too high of damage are more even
As someone who will probably never play Smite 2, due to lack of any hardware that can run it, I do think the game has potential to be better than Smite 1 but now its still being made and is suffering from that. It should have been pushed back until it had Conquest, Arena, Joust, and one other mode or a lot more gods. Right now Smite 2 doesn't have a lot and Smite 1 is basically not supported any more so I can see why people are frustrated and disappointed with what is going on. I do understand that it takes a while to make a game but they needed to keep Smite 1 going and making Smite 2 in background until it was close to where Smite 1 is. Its just not in a good place right now but I do think they can bring it around, its just going to be rough. Also I do think the Legacy gems and stuff is a good middle ground. Not happy that I might be losing a lot but they really could have not done that. It could be better but it could also be much worse.
ARES IS COOKED 💔 Displacement immune abilities make his ULT useless and even using his fire ability can make you immune from an enemy Ares ultimate as well. I absolutely love all his changes aside from his ultimate, where they made it so much easier to get out of it now. Ares has been my top god on Smite 1 for about 6 years so it just hurts to see.
The two problems i have with the game is that the lack of diversity in the gods all of the supports are initiators, the junglers are all ability focused the second problem is the chasms that exist between the best gods in the role and the second best god in the role, it makes it so casuals are all the same yes theres always the best god in a role in smite 1 but very rarely is the second best that far behind, the problem with this is that they are nerfing top gods and not buffing the underperformers yes that would lead to power creap but early on thats not a problem and feels better than playing whack a mole with every busted god and item forever
How many gems did everyone get in smite 2? Like what’s yalls real number of gems? I have the most of my friends by 10x but I would imagine I’m sort of middle of the pack.
My honest opinion, smite 2 is nowhere near ready yet and my experience playing it was horrific. I'm a huge smite fan who played smite 1 since the Beta days on and off, so I'm not saying anything as a hater of the game and trying to purposely put it down, but this game is in bad shape. The one time I tried playing, the graphical glitches were so bad that literally entire portions of the map were missing, the towers were invisible and completely missing as well as some parts of the Jungle. I tried Cernunnos as I got stuck in ADC my first game and I shit you not, the entire top half of my character was T posing for an entire game, only briefly leaving the T pose to jerkily half animate into the basic attack animation, before stiffening back up into a T pose. It was egregious and barely playable, which totally killed my motivation to play the game. I tried coming back to it a week later to give the ranked mode a try and same thing, missing towers, missing parts of the jungle, routine graphical bugs, I had one bug where the minions stretched out in lane, two DC's in this ranked game and then a third from our team left causing us to surrender which at that point, I was just hoping to put the match out of it's misery. It's been completely unplayable for me, it's nowhere near ready for a release. The last thing I wanted to bring up is the whole ranked mode debacle where they were pitting teams of 5 ex pros up against teams of solo queuing newbs trying to figure out the ranked meta and getting absolutely smoked, not only that, but Hi Rez was awarding these groups of pros 2x the SP than the solo queue players get, which seems entirely intentional to me to get the same "Boys club" of players to rise to the top of the broken ranked system so they can then create a new "SPL" to promote the Alpha version of the game, which is entirely opposite of how they described the concept of an open bracket where players from anywhere could form teams and compete. I know they've gone about "fixing" this issue but the fact remains, these guys are going to have 6000+ SP permanently from now on and newer players are never going to be able to get to the top of the leader board even if they are adequately skilled, so you end up with the same shit from Smite 1's SPL, where only a select few insiders are ever going to play at a top level, that's not captivating for viewers and doesn't incentivize new players to try and get good at the game.
My only issues: 1: the roster is too small but it’s expected 2: the teleporter was the worst thing carried over from smite 1. It’s the reason I stopped playing conquest.
@@PAXNPAXN I don’t like the teleporter because I prefer to live on my island in solo and you get borderline no warning people are using it on top of this. The way I play is stomp my opponent into the ground early and carry the advantage into late game. And now you get punished for being aggro because even if you ward well you can still get people to gank you via teleporter. :/ Once upon a time it was a bad idea to have anything to do with solo as other roles. If you ganked as jungle you just wasted your time. I miss the days where you would play solo and if you wanted to do things around the map earlier you needed to upgrade teleport. Now you just get that. I miss when you would be in your lane fir 15-20 minutes without seeing anyone else Also. I don’t like the way they handle the jungle now either. In smite 1 or smite 2. I can’t do any of my funny starts anymore. EX: As Anubis solo I used to start at the enemy red and TP to lane. A lot of people don’t like the teleporter though. So I’m hoping maybe they do something about it. The least they could do is move it to the other side of the lane. Aka Where the jungle would usually come from.
My biggest issue rn with smite 2 rn is the damage output most of the characters is way way too high. any cc without beads and you just fall over even against tanks and it feel awful to just watch your health disappear in a 1v1 no matter who it is. especially nu wa feeling very overtuned with just her 2 3 combo hitting way too hard
I really enjoy smite 2. Didn’t play smite 1. First MOBA I played was predecessor. It’s not even remotely balanced and matchmaking can be brutal but also, it’s a game? Lmao I’m having fun with it even when I get farmed (most of the time)
If the game was delayed a year they wouldve got the feedback on the art too late and would be even worse. The problem is people dont understand what an alpha means. Boo hoo theres bugs boo hoo cry cry cry all i see.
So many people genuinely believed that moving from UE3 to UE5 meant less bugs, less spaghetti code, etc. The reveal trailer also hyped the game up and gave an impression that it was almost ready to be published. I'm not surprised people are complaining, they only ever see the highlights and end product. They never see how much time and effort it takes to become or produce anything great.
Agree. Don't know why people don't understand that games early in development are gonna game tons of bugs, balance issues and lack of content because the game isn't finished. It was either wait longer to not know what is happening with Smite 2 or allow players to follow along with development and get people's opinions. If you want a more polished game, just wait for full release. It's like when GTA6 was leaked and people were hating on the game because it didnt look finished.
@deathghost65 what I've learned is the Smite community doesn't read, listen or think for themselves and have 0 patience and then they play a game that requires you to read, listen, think and have patience. Great game 🤡 Community.
@@POWDERPACKSyou can’t expect people to not be critical to the game when you go live with 24/7 servers in the state this game is in. It’s essentially its full release, labelled as an alpha or not. It’s just poor decision making by hi rez for not realizing this would happen. Not only that the game just sucks, smite is my favourite game ever and smite 2 might be the most boring game I’ve ever played.
Right now I personally feel like smite 2 doesn’t “feel like smite” I know that doesn’t describe it well but I mean it feels rough I guess? I hope it gets better with time.
My biggest complaint is that they hyped up gems being so important and how players can rebuy skins that they lost and almost every skin currently in smite 2 cannot be purchased with these gems, and then doubled the cost of skins. Whats the point of 200k gems when its just a glorified 50% off coupon on skins with inflated prices. When monetization is more predatory than league you should reevaluate your monetization method
I’ve never seen any game push out in-game purchases and pro league tournaments that were in an alpha. I like this game but y’all are some suckers for buying into the “it’s just the alpha” bs. They just say that because it’s an easy excuse that still gives confidence and hope in the community and future of Smite. By the time this game is free to play it’s still going to be in alpha with just as many bugs and lack of content that it does now. It’s been almost a half year of release alpha and very little has actually changed from what the first closed alpha weekend brought. It’s not about the game being in an alpha it’s about the way they are presenting and developing their game that makes people upset and they should be with what we’ve seen over the past months.
Preface with: Ive played Smite since Poseidon release. Smite 2 has very low replay-ability in its current state; unless you’re trying to get in early for the competitive scene. The game is totally unpolished and honestly not fun in a gameplay sense. The game is has no grounding, nothing that makes you want to come back and keep playing. It’s just a worse version of Smite 1 with better graphics.
I think a good chunk of players that bought into the alpha really aren't the type of players that should buy into something like an alpha, alpha's are for more of the hardcore playerbase and Smite's audience is not that in the slightest, plus they're also the same group that gets mad at you legitimately trying to help them with advice I'm also kinda getting really sick of the entitled sect of players that whines about 'muh skins'. I just worried about the longevity of this project at this point and if we'll even see a healthy playerbase when the game is free to play. Because Hirez is gonna have to make the decision to keep the first game alive and split the playerbase, or kill the first game when the game's fully released so that the second has something sustainable.
Smite 1 alpha player here. I understand the opinion of the game should have stayed in the oven for another year. But at the same time I disagree. Hirez will get way more feedback data than they ever could have got working on in for a year alone with all of us playing it. As for the Game, sure certain things look a little fuzzy like skins (only outside if game) but In terms of feel. The game feels amazing. Going back to smite 1 feels horrendous. Slow, unresponsive ect. I also think most of players crying about not enough characters are hypocrites. For example found a dude complaining that he's bored of smite 2 because not enough characters. Yet his smite 1 account he's a 100+ ullr with only 8 other gods played at all...... Anyway. The game feels amazing. I'm still enjoying the game all day everyday even with the little amount of gods. The only thing I don't like so far is the Zeus change. But overall I'm looking forward to all the changes to god's
I personally loved Zeus in smite one and was a diamond 5 star Zeus, in smite 2 I'm a lvl 7 atm but I believe if they made Zeus a stance switch god allowing him to swap his 2 out with two different abilities like his old smite 1, 2 and the new rework version he would be way better... His shield allows for a clear which atm I find his biggest weakness over every other mage he has no clear potential rn your wasting your whole kit to clear a wave mean while a kuk uses his 3 clears the wave instantly it's almost a joke really and feels terrible to be on the receiving end
Problem with the shield throw was it was easy to throw in the middle of a fight and hit everyone with chain lightning. But they definitely could do something like, shield throw is back but only hits minions and can be recalled to do the current Smite 2 AoE when the shield reaches Zeus. Or make it like Ymir, look at the ground to use the current AoE stun, look far to throw a shield. Or just troll Zeus players by giving Zeus his ability that he had before shield throw, reflective damage defense
Did anyone else get codes to download the game for free? I received an email with 3 free codes (for ps5) for the game, I used 1 for myself so I never paid for it but did try it out. Console does seem a bit buggy especially trying the training mode(though this seemed to be fixed along with the store navigation). Def waiting for more gods to come in. I’m not a huge fan of conquest either so I think that’s affecting people playing. Lot of casual gamers who favors arena, assault, joust, instead of conquest and there just isn’t enough for us yet but def seems geared more towards pro/serious smite gamers which is fine. Prob a year from now it will be worth playing for us casual gamers lol

I think it just lacks style. Smite 1 graphical sucks, but it has a great style. Smite 2 looks like Unreal 5 texture pack. After the map change, it looks better, but the characters look bad imo.

you guys seriously need to stop comparing full release games to alphas and beta versions of games, alphas and betas are not a fucking demo, they are early builds of the game, not the full release, im so tired of people failing to understand this concept. Fucking Larian did it best, they had act 1 early access for God knows how long, and guess what, they fucking smacked the game out of the park with all the feedback they received, so just give it time. edit: I'm not saying you cannot be critical of an alpha or beta, in fact that's what helps, but the fact that it's always the saying "I shouldn't have spent money on this", like what did you expect it was money spent to get into an alpha, because you were too impatient to wait for the free to play version, so stop using that as a complaint, you fully knew what you were getting into and you chose to waste your money. Stop blaming companies for your bad financial choices.
Larian was a great example of how awful early access is. They essentially made the first third of the game - beyond a few finishing touches - in private and it was excellent. However, the quality of their work took a nosedive around the time of entering ea. Calling act 3 a train-wreck is generous to Larian. Everything from game balance to story to amount of bugs was a massive downgrade. Luckily for Larian, most people have already quit the game before they ever got that far. For example, half of people who played the game didn't even reach act 2 (only 52% completion of "The Plot Thickens" according to Steam). It's the minority who even have the possibilty of experiencing the quality of their work after they engaged in this poison of the gaming industry.
The one about Anubis is weird because it’s from a few days ago, but Anubis DID have a bug where he was fully cc immune during his 1 in…AW1. Didn’t even make it to AW2. I also recall Fenrir having the issue so maybe it was just all displacement immunities bugging out. Either way, fixed now and has been for a long time.
About the concurrent players: When you think about it, smite 1 had 7k concurrent players, then smite 2 released the 24/7 alpha and it got 3k, but smite 1 retained the 7k, it even went up a little bit. So when you really think about it, it was an increase of players in general, and I believe that, once smite 2 reaches the point where it can replace smite 1, it will get plenty of players.
It's a pay to play close alpha with less than 10% of the same content as Smite 1. Of course player numbers are down. I can't even count how many people I've seen who are just waiting until their favourite characters are added, or gamemode, or just waiting until the actual launch in general. Smite 2 already has WAY more NEW players in than Smite 1 has gotten in 4-5 years. Even in a paid alpha. Once it actually releases, and once more and more popular characters and content get added, inevitability the numbers will continue to increase as well
Smite community : " i wont play Smite 2 no content." Also Smite Community: "why are you putting content in Smite 2 before balance bs cash grab." You people are all a joke

That and just being more selective and intentional with key features .
Ascension passes are cool. I don't mind paying a few bucks for the pass on my favorite gods and I get more rewarded for progressing and it makes it more fun to grind one God.
I agree but was also shocked by the price at around 5 bucks even including legacy gems
@@BrokerLowertrue, But you do get the gems refunded after you complete it right? 🤔
Do one with negative reviews those are always the funniest
Crit was a little too strong all around last patch. They probably are trying to make sure crit doesn't end up like Smite 1 early access crits
I hope they continue to change certain cancer gods, I’m glad about the nu wa change and that’s my most played character.
They will
@@youngbouyoub2696 im dreading the Freya, Baksura, Arachne and Nezha changes lol a few more need reworks likely as well.
@@DestroAzureDx don’t forget the queen of cancer nox. Or even what they’re gonna do to erlang shen.
@@youngbouyoub2696 I kinda want to make a reddit post about the issues of each of the more cancerous gods so they avoid it.
Example Bakasura is too reliant on invades
Arachnes ult is basicall only an escape and she heals too much for the damage she deals
Nox's main combo should have never been so cc heavy, she needs more incentive to ult before a fight and her passive is garbage
Erlang, too much engage and free damage because his damage isnt as ability based, great example of a god whos unfightable due to too much cc and damage when the god gets a buff of thier items. Same for Kali and Freya.
Although maybe since everyone swings so hard in smite 2 the characters with too high of damage are more even
@@DestroAzureDx I just hope all the changes are as drastic as nu-wa
I've not played it since that Susano went carry, ran on tower and two hit me in the first minute.
Wow take a breath calm down
How many gems did everyone get in smite 2?
My only issues:
1: the roster is too small but it’s expected
2: the teleporter was the worst thing carried over from smite 1. It’s the reason I stopped playing conquest.
Can you explain a bit why you don’t like the tp’s?
@@PAXNPAXN I don’t like the teleporter because I prefer to live on my island in solo and you get borderline no warning people are using it on top of this. The way I play is stomp my opponent into the ground early and carry the advantage into late game. And now you get punished for being aggro because even if you ward well you can still get people to gank you via teleporter. :/
Once upon a time it was a bad idea to have anything to do with solo as other roles. If you ganked as jungle you just wasted your time.
I miss the days where you would play solo and if you wanted to do things around the map earlier you needed to upgrade teleport. Now you just get that.
I miss when you would be in your lane fir 15-20 minutes without seeing anyone else
Also.
My biggest issue rn with smite 2 rn is the damage output most of the characters is way way too high. any cc without beads and you just fall over even against tanks and it feel awful to just watch your health disappear in a 1v1 no matter who it is. especially nu wa feeling very overtuned with just her 2 3 combo hitting way too hard
see you guys in 2025 when this game is playable
Is their anyway to play KBM on console? I was able to set my key bindings but it isn't reading my mouse movement
I really enjoy smite 2. Didn’t play smite 1. First MOBA I played was predecessor. It’s not even remotely balanced and matchmaking can be brutal but also, it’s a game? Lmao I’m having fun with it even when I get farmed (most of the time)
Okay but why is Bacchus still broken?
Isn't the free product thing something that you have to mark yourself when you left the review?
thought the stam reviews was funny but jesus this comment section from one troll account is better XD
Why does smite 1 only have 2k players on steam thats so low i still have not even got in to the beta is there a reason i enter like month ago
I’ve never seen any game push out in-game purchases and pro league tournaments that were in an alpha. I like this game but y’all are some suckers for buying into the “it’s just the alpha” bs. They just say that because it’s an easy
excuse that still gives confidence and hope in the community and future of Smite.
Is nut the last god for smite 1? I don’t know if I will get into smite 2
It was the whale
I think a good chunk of players that bought into the alpha really aren't the type of players that should buy into something like an alpha, alpha's are for more of the hardcore playerbase and Smite's audience is not that in the slightest, plus they're also the same group that gets mad at you legitimately trying to help them with advice
I'm also kinda getting really sick of the entitled sect of players that whines about 'muh skins'.
I play on Console and it plays just fine

I also got codes and I find it fun to play the issue is just matchmaking

Smite 1 graphical sucks, but it has a great style. Smite 2 looks like Unreal 5 texture pack.

It honestly feels like its a giant cherrypick of all the popular/qol/good things in moba and put into smite 2 rather than smite 2 itself honestly.

hi inter do you have smite2 extra key for steam?
you guys seriously need to stop comparing full release games to alphas and beta versions of games, alphas and betas are not a fucking demo, they are early builds of the game, not the full release, im so tired of people failing to understand this concept.
Smite 2 is such as miss as an alpha cause smite 1 is suffering so much
About the concurrent players: When you think about it, smite 1 had 7k concurrent players, then smite 2 released the 24/7 alpha and it got 3k, but smite 1 retained the 7k, it even went up a little bit. So when you really think about it, it was an increase of players in general, and I believe that, once smite 2 reaches the point where it can replace smite 1, it will get plenty of players.
Smite 2 peaked on Steam alone at 12,00 concurrent players and in less than 2 weeks dropped down to only 2k concurrent.
Once it actually releases, and once more and more popular characters and content get added, inevitability the numbers will continue to increase as well
People that dont have $30 laying around shouldnt be commenting on anything online
