I recall her posting this once on her IG story. She wrote that Sun is 'she' for her. And she was also talking something about the Moon. Can't remember much but it was few days before the song came out.

I’m late to reply, but why can’t it be both? That’s how I interpret it. The person she is singing about is just like the sun. (Aurora is bisexual anyway so it would make sense).
It could actually be she talking about herself, her self love, and how she used to love everything before. But I guess everything fits right? That's the beauty in Aurora's songs -pun intended-, we can listen to the same song at the same time, but feel it in so many ways~

I saw one of her interviews where she was asked why she thought her music was universally loved... She took a little while to formulate a response but eventually decided that it was due to the sheer wealth of emotion she pours into each of her songs. People who allow themselves to be lost in her music don't need to know what the words mean exactly because they understand what the song means as a whole...
