I was a great supporter of ECOWAS. I was of the belief that ECOWAS was a stepping stone to a Pan-African country.
It took me about 10 years to realize that ECOWAS have never attempted a consultation with the people. It is really a president club.
All praises due to the AES as now we Pan-Africans have a direction we can point to.
I am now weary of the other african regional formations. The EAC have been touting african political unity. However it seems as if they are heading in the same direction as the ECOWAS.

Senegalese Gen Z need to get busy. I thought Faye was ready for Continental change. ECOWAS has been dead for a long time. It's not an organization for all the people. ❤

Faye was bought, he is a west project. Tinubu and Nana are senior puppets. They blocs must help in the politics as well, however maintaining the will of the people in that particular country. The problem is that the organizations were captured.

democracy is a a western paradigm! Socialism, is the way, no one should be hungry, poor, in Africa. The richest country in the world, Yes I say Country! Senegal is truth. Read Cheikh Anta Diop. He knew! Faye, open that border and sea to AES! Blessup AES, blessup Africa. You are truth Sis!!

What you call democracy is a western paradigm is not democracy. It is only a type of, based on the power of a parliamentary system. Western democracy is therefore parliamentary democracies operated by and for the interests of an entrenched political class!
Socialism has failed because as structured it is also a tool for the empowering of a political class. Like democracy, it has not worked anywhere as it should have done.
Demos kratia (people rule - democracy) if it could be achieved would be the system of choice in which everyone would benefit.
Briefly stated, in this system political parties would be banned. This would eliminate national political divisions and all its negative impacts. It would eliminate political patronage by party leaders, it would eliminate party loyalty and the corruption inherent in a party system.
In this system each Constituency would select by local ballot their qualified Parliamentary representatives for a 5 year term.
The office of President and Vice President is subject to a national ballot from any suitable qualified persons of the nation. They would first be interviewed by a committee of citizens chosen from persons of different backgrounds education and skills. Only then could they stand for national election.
Tenders would also be advertised for those with specific skills to serve as Ministers of State. So for example, minister of education would need to come from the world of education et al.
Candidates would be interviewed by the President and Vice Presientent together with representatives from the youth, parents and the elderly.
All representatives receive a contract for the life of the Parliament. All civil servants receive contracts for the life of the Parliament, which based on performance can be re-newed for the new Parliament or not, as the case may be.
Any representative at all levels can have their contract terminated and themselves replaced if annual targets are not met!
With efficient checks and balances systems in place, it would be very difficult for anyone to be corrupt or be able to mismanage or steal from the national purse. Laws would be in place to severely punish and publicly humiliate anyone caught stealing from the nationa purse.
Loyalty at all levels in this system is to the nation, not to party or party leader. In this system, there will be no opportunities for a career in politics because no one will be able to serve more than two Parliamentary terms.
In coming Presidents must complete all national projects taking longer than the life of the Parliament. Negotiations regarding national projects must include national experts in the field, the vice President and the Minister of States for Finance under the leadership of the Minister for which the Project falls.

    • @user-gm9ln4rs9z
      @user-gm9ln4rs9z หลายเดือนก่อน +2

We need unity. Tribalism in this day and age is suicide. There is so much against Africa. Let’s unite. And Nigeria and the rest of Africa, if thou altogether holdest thy peace At This Time , then shall their enlargement and deliverance arise to the Sahel from another place; but thou and thy fathers house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this ? Esther 4 : 13 and 14 Me I’ve given myself to fasting and prayer for His Excellencies the Presidents of the Sahel Alliance and all thy people.

A strong whole, needs strong parts. As a strong, unified nation identity first needs strong, healthy tribal identities who choose, for mutual protection, to unify. These old, Colonial narratives 😢 rely on us remaining politically miseducated.

Will Senegal summon the courage to join AES? This is the key question!!!!!!!
I think the oil and gas wealth of Senegal will delay any movement towards AES. If there were no oil and gas discoveries then they would have moved faster.

It is not just Senegalese population that is primed to take matters into their own hands.
The rest of the Francafrique neocolonies are also a threat to do so; as their populations continue to look across their borders to AES and covet the opportunities and possibilities that the AES are presented with.
Prospects that are proving to be of benefit towards their growth and development initiatives..

I think that Diomaye Faye has been trying to be “mature” and chart a moderate path for Senegal away from the stranglehold of France. He will soon discover that the Senegalese people are more interested in claiming their sovereignty than in being moderate. If he wants to end up on the right side of history, he needs to make a sharp turn away from France.
