Shake downs, fine tuning and testing, it's the name of the game. The first cookie out of the batch is almost never perfect either. Still a great job Roy. ugh! about the finish in some places, but not a biggie unfixable detail. 👍👍
That's a pity about the paint Roy, but he! it's just a small portion as you said...not the end of the world. Plenty of water catch going on there in that bucket.
As fare as the grey, Mrtini, I had been using an old can of water based Tremclad Primer to paint over fiberglas and it was excellent! First coat coverage and hard like rock! But I bought a new can and it was crap! I suspect the changed the formula over the time I used up the 4L I has originally had! I'm glad I only used it for the last bits!!! The transom is looking good now with new varnish! BestRoy
