      It really isn't a big deal. The EU defense is mostly about Afrika. Denmark has already coorporated with them, fx fighting pirates along the African coast.
      Joining It has little to no impact other than granting Denmark a little saying on where EU should sent military, and as an political statement.

    • @fastertove
      @fastertove 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@michaelwang6125 Joining PESCO will not necessarily cause more military spending, since we already are participating to some degree. But it wouldn't surprise me since we (as you mentioned) are set on reaching the 2% of GDP, and that extra spending needs to go somewhere.
      NATO didn't exist during WW2, I guess you meant to say 'since' WW2.
      NATO and PESCO have different goals. Added expenses to PESCO missions could potentially weaken/lower the budget addressed to NATO, since both are included in those 2%.

      @Carl Olov Andreasson Russia cannot just change the contracts which are in Euros. Russia just wants to support the Reubel and undermine the sanctions and thought this would be a good way to do it. Denmark really won’t be impacted by it so not big news. Russia is getting the opposite of what they hoped for, long expensive war, a united Europe against them and a quicker move away from their gas and oil within the EU. Then, she kept mentioning Wuhan virus which is not its name, but kept complaining about the rest of the world calling their variant of it, the Indian variant. @Moni Penny You're right except that it started in 2008 when the US government first dangled NATO in front of Ukraine then said no. They also made them think joining the EU was a possibility but the US led NATO knows very well that Ukraine would be a liability to the more stable EU members, largely due to Ukraine's corruption and their relentless far right nationalist movements who have been shouting "Ukraine for Ukraines" and promoting ethnic conflict inside Ukraine since WW2. Some EU countries were not in favour of Ukraine joining and still object but the US government still made them believe that NATO and joining the EU was in close reach lol.
      It's more than obvious that Ukraine has been used as a pawn by the US state dept. to provoke Russia in their proxy war. The Pentagon set up bio labs in Ukraine to antagonize Russia but somehow Ukraine at no point were able to connect the dots and tell them to get stuffed. It's mind boggling to say the least 🤯

    There's an island, Bornholm, which is the key strategic point here. Denmark has collaborated enough with the US military, as any NATO country. But there's an agreement Denmark has with Russia that no foreign military would be placed in Bornholm. Therefore, I see where this is going: after this referendum, there'll be US troops in Bornholm provoking Russia. That's what this is all about, just wait and see 👀
