Its actually easy to answer. Never trust the US. Just like Biden said they would help Ukraine if Russia invades, but then didnt. Same with Taiwan, making them think they would help if China invades, they will not. Both these situations have been planned for many years. Have Ukraine fight war against Russia to weaken them. Telling Taiwan to use "Ukrainian tactics" is basically saying, the United States of America will not intervene in this conflict. The Ukraine position is one of desperation, not arguing their successes or losses. If this administration was serious about Taiwan they would be advising Taiwan to take a strong defensive position, taking confidence in our support, rather than, a hit and move type of militia warfare. If the West is going to support Taiwan as a sovereign state and encourage Taiwan to exercise it's rights as such. Then the West needs to be prepared to conduct itself accordingly. The answer to this problem will not be resolved, with sanctions or around the trade table, if it is left to continue to fester. China´s armed forces are not what they´re trying to other countries believe. China´s navy are not as sound as they´re trying to show.

Telling Taiwan to use "Ukrainian tactics" is basically saying, the United States of America will not intervene in this conflict. The Ukraine position is one of desperation, not arguing their successes or losses. If this administration was serious about Taiwan they would be advising Taiwan to take a strong defensive position, taking confidence in our support, rather than, a hit and move type of militia warfare. If the West is going to support Taiwan as a sovereign state and encourage Taiwan to exercise it's rights as such. Then the West needs to be prepared to conduct itself accordingly. The answer to this problem will not be resolved, with sanctions or around the trade table, if it is left to continue to fester. In addition, if China should invade Taiwan, "the west" and much of the non-west, would both desire and be forced to economically de-link from China for the long term. That would be a great injury to all humanity. The human race needs for China's vast population to be prosperous. Let us hope that China's leadership or Taiwan's overstep do not put all of that into a tailspin. In time, likely decades, economics and ideological progress, common human values, China will come to see the advantages and feel great pride in a progressive relation of mutuality with Taiwan, and Taiwan with China: siblings, so to speak, both wondrous, although not equal in every way, and, so, be family in that context or symbiotic manner.
