Love the views of camp life. As a reenactor, camp life is one of the best parts so I love when it is captured in footage. Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words and for watching! As a reenactor as well, it is also my most favorite part and is where the true immersion takes place.

It was great to see Shuster's Tigers in the video, I was just outside of the area being filmed at the campfire and standing next to our stacked arms. This is a memory I'll cherish.

This was VERY well done. This is what a great reenactment is SUPPOSED to look like. Everybody looked extremely authentic, especially the Confederates. In 1865 it was just young boys and old men out of uniform, wearing whatever they had available. The maneuvers were great and there seemed to be several that ACTUALLY played the part of dying. When I was reenacting, there would be guys that I guess thought they had a force field from Star Wars protecting them from point blank volleys; which really took away from the effect of realism. There would be several back and forth volleys almost 20 30 minutes into the show and next to nobody would take the fall. I however loved 'dying.' I would charge and if I see somebody aiming my way or a barrage of cannon fire fired my way, I would flip backwards as if I were really hit by some projectile or shrapnel.

Thanks for watching! Yes! This event is very well done by the park and they make sure that everything is authentic as close as possible. This has become a great event over the past years and the units that take part here strive for authentic portrayal. I hate that too when I was a Civil War reenactor and now we have that problem in WWII reenacting while Civil a war has buckled down. It makes me want to do it again!

I recognized one of the reenactors that I know. I screenshot it and send it to him. We talked about it and I'm hoping I'll be with them next event. After watching this, I am impressed and have seen what I have been searching for in a unit. But I wasn't only impressed by the subject matter of the video, I'm impressed by the quality of this video. I filmed several hours of Sea and wanted to edit it the way this video has been done. Unfortunately right now you hear a lot of kids CONSTANTLY talking and inconsiderate parents. Also people rudely walking in front of my view despite knowing dang well I was filming. My temperance is short and it took all I had to hold back. 😆

Wow, one of the finest reenactments I have seen. Pretty good impressions, bayonets, and I am pretty sure I saw a Reb using a ramrod, quite authentic.
