Hey girl! I just watched your video on sexual intrusive thoughts and it made me feel so much better since now I know I’m not alone. Mines started in August 2019 and have gotten worse. I can’t get therapy since my parents can’t afford it. Do you recommend anything that could help me get through this situation?
Hello Kat! I've been treating OCD for several years now, but last year I had a really bad event. That was when I started watching many channels on the subject, including your channel. In addition to Cognitive behavioral therapy, Exposure and response prevention, Acceptance and commitment therapy, Mindfulness ... one of the channels made me know a treatment that I did not heard before: Inference-based therapy (IBT). I think this IBT theory fills a gap, with explanations for questions that the other theories do not have answers for. It is a more cognitive therapy. I would like to suggest that you research about it. A website that has initial information is: IBA OCS - Inference-Based Approach & Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum. On that website, in the "Tools and References" section there are several PDFs that you can study. I am reading the book "Clinician's Handbook for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Inference-Based Therapy". I realize that this therapy is very interesting, but there are not much study resources about it (there are specialized scientific papers, but there is no book for laypeople like Brain Lock for example). I found out about this therapy because the term IBT was mentioned on the channel "Ocd Expert", by a therapist who lives in the Netherlands. His native language is not English, but he has a playlist with an English course (he uses a mix of techniques, not just IBT). I hope you find it interesting to know about IBT. Note: I am sending this message to some channels that I subscribe, not only your channel. Thank you.
Does anyone have any experience with fluvoxamine? I am a little more than a week in (fast metabolism, 50mg, 100mg in a few days) and I have been feeling terrible and extremely doubtful that I have ocd. I understand that it takes quite a while for the medication to kick in, but this is a bit worrying.
If you doubt you have OCD than I would be careful with drugs. These are neurotoxins that alter brain chemistry. I was on Luvox and it made me incredibly suicidal. I was switched to the extended release and it was even worse. I'm not on any meds now and have been doing ERP and much better.

If you don’t have ocd why would they give you that medication? Also there’s different types of medications
