And overall, what happened to YoTV?

This makes me want to cry 😭 Yotv presenters were my only friends after school at 3pm and Saturday mornings eating my Coco pops while my mom was busy cleaning from primary school to my early varsity..Life was great.
We feel you 100% with this comment, these kid presenters kept many of us company after school!
The Cartoon Cafe intro is such nostalgia for me.
Every morning, my alarm clock was my parents waking me up with Yo-t.v.
Able to catch two classic Disney cartoons before I'd have to get ready for school.
101 dalmatians, Recess and Goof troop were some of my favourites.😢
Those were the days when the grass was greener. Where quality and options were golden even if it was for a limited time during the day.
Now, I feel sorry for the kids of today where even the dstv 24/7 kids channels are absolute junk with zero vibes or magic.
It really was quite the time to be a kid. With kids being on social media at such a young age, we wonder if these shows would still have an impact today?
By the way, do you remember Tom & Jerry, it was on at 06:50 during Good Morning South Africa on SABC 2.

Hi Lunga! As 90s kids ourselves, we had to go deep into our memory banks to remember the YoTV presenters, especially from the first generation. And unfortunately there's no exhaustive list of them all, maybe we all can create it together. Please help us jog our memory... when did Shannon join YoTV and who was Shannon?

I remember mini tv and then came yo tv what ever happened to mini tv I just remember it one day it was ther next day gone
What's even more sad about Mini TV just disappearing is that it's so difficult to find information about it. And obviously if you watched it as a youngster, you remember snippets but now we want to place those snippets together to make sense. But nada.
Thanks fir the reply yea I no I rember allot of Afrikaans shows on but wasn’t interested I rember a tv show called brave star and new ghostbusters being on it Zap mag zett punken patch and ther used to be a like beach parties on from what I rember. Mini TV lowkey gave KTV a run for their money with content such as Biker Mice from Mars, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Batman the Animated Series and Bravestarr. It was the blueprint for both Tube and YO-TV
@@kennethwilliamson3937 that BraveStarr intro was fire. "BRAVESTARR! Eyes of the hawk, ears of the wolf". Synth and country never sounded so good together.
If they wear smart and had the funds they could of sent mini tv to sabc3 and had more variety sped out fir the younger audience and people who couldn’t afford m-net ther was also this thing in sa about haveing some kids shows for todlers in the mornings wen the older kids went to school I remember this cose I wasn’t a fan of the school I was in at that time during the 1990s One show that stood out was 3 little ghosts witch was on mini tv I don’t realy ever rember seeing much kids shows on s a b c 3 in the 90s apart from toddlers tv shows on a Sunday Things like kideo mabey I’m wrong ther might of been some Disney stuff latter on in the 90s sort of like cartoon cafe on yotv but all rember at this point duck tails I rember sabc 2 used to have some Christian puppet shows on a Sunday and ther was also this outher show called super book mighty max was on around 1993-1994 from what I rember as well and then I gues some wear on tv 1 world of wrestling might of been on on a saterdsy afternoon we also had Vicky the robot and dogie houser md Just taking about this brings back memery ther was some Afrikaans programs that I couldn’t understand but one that stands out was die swat Kat lol
