Good atmosphere. But we really need to start winning john. Come on pompey we need a win.
Big improvement from the Stoke game and a really good response from the players but we've still got the same problems we've had all season.
This is not the manager's fault. This is down to a lack of quality and proven championship players in the squad.
We simply don't have the players to be competitive and we need a decent January transfer window if we are to avoid relegation. Our season is very much dependent on the owners backing the manager properly and giving him the tools to do the job.
I really rate the manager, but what is he supposed to do with a squad as lightweight as this? How many of our players would make it into other championship teams? Not many.
Frustrating. Good levels of effort and possession but our lack of a clinical finisher is really hurting us.
I get that the owners want to invest in youth. But alongside that you also need experienced players that know the division. Which is where we went wrong with our recruitment this summer in my opinion.
A big improvement from Wednesday night's horror show but frustrated its another 2 points dropped. We score the first goal and still had to settle for a draw again. We have to stop conceding such sloppy goals due to our poor defending. We are shipping goals like Amazon shipping parcels at the moment. I think this international break has come just at the right time for us. Time to start doing serious work on the training ground especially work on the defending. As I say, a big improvement but we need to do more. Defensively we are absolutely dire at the moment. Needs to improve and improve quickly, these draws are not good enough to keep us up in this league, we have to start winning now.

We need to find a way to win but can’t see us doing that if we keep gifting passes and goals to the opposition, the longer this run continues the worse it will get, just like winning streaks can be unstoppable so can winless steaks.
Glad to see Saydee played in his right position for this team, and that other fans are working out out major weak link
I thought it was a really good performance. Let's be honest, yes they could have scored again but we could have scored more. Twice off the line. Three brilliant saves from their keeper....not yo mention his excellent penalty save.

Time to start being brutally honest, because there is no way out of this without big changes. A number of players are looking out of their depth. Saydee & Sorensen looked so poor today.

A draw at home after taking the lead against Oxford. We didn't lose but disappointing we didn't win the game. Happy that O'Mahony scored again but frustrating we go into this international break without a win, PUP. 🔹️🔷️🔵💙

It's not a strong squad, there was more effort today which is something.....plenty of chances and just one goal 🙁
I've just watched two teams that will be battling relegation !!!
Let's hope we have some proper money to strengthen the squad in January
I'll admit I do have relegation concerns for Pompey this season given how poor we've been lately but it's still early days and here's hoping we'll get that first win soon enough and we get things firing again as well. We aren't relegated yet but it's worrying. 👍🏻

I feel sorry for the young talent we have in Moxon, Devlin and Towler. Overlooked for the latest new toys that aren't as good. Weird decision making by JM.
Pompey were lucky they were playing Oxford, who were poor at the back and wasteful going forward.
Effort was there, just badly need yengi and Lang back in the side.

Who in God's name let Sorensen take the penalty, a player who has played no competitive football for weeks and 4 mins into his first start. I blame the manager and the captain.
Completely agree, awful decision, we can't even really blame Sorensen for the miss, when we have better shot takers.
And just who are these better penalty takers? Notice that suffolkpompey didn't mention who they are.

Whoever recruited Sorensen needs to be sacked,and what has happened to our captain is he trying to do too much or is his legs starting to go
Well, that was a much better performance and we should have won it easily. We looked better than Oxford all day except their clinical finish of their best chance. Terrific finger-tip save from the new keeper - those have been getting in past Norris all season. Let's say that again - Norris would NOT have kept that out - those aren't his strength. It looks like we just haven't got the confidence to finish it off. Another goal would have put it to bed. But good effort and we weren't outplayed all day. We did much better going long from the keeper than we do passing out from the back - the whole team was further up the pitch. O'Mahoney will get a taste for this, just you watch. Ogilvie looks a bit off the pace, but he wins soooo many headers - I have no idea how, 'cos he's not big. Big improvement that, and a bit more confidence and we'll be fine.
We need to drop Pack and Ogilvie.
I love them, but they just don't have the legs for this league.
Give Pack 5-10 yards of space and he has a great range of passing, but you don't get that time in this league, every team has a high, fast press. Ogilvie's lack of pace has been exposed numerous times already by quality wingers.
Kamara on for Pack, and Farrell or even Swanson at LB instead of Ogilvie, and I think we'll get that elusive win.

I would usually agree but Ogilviy was a complete asset this game, he really put a shift in. Missed an important header granted, but was key to this game.

@@PoorlyWrttenReviews I think Ogilvie has been shown up by pacy wingers quite a few times.
He'd be best utilised off the bench in the Championship IMO, coming on 70+ mins to shore up the defence when the opposition's getting fatigued.
Been saying that about pack for last few weeks, legs look like they have gone and looks so far off the pace in this league. Giving so mamy fouls away because he is always a few seconds off it. Need pace and power in midfield at this level. Kamara is a must imo next game.
Feel sorry for Moxon and Devlin who should be starting in that midfield. Proven energy, tenacity and goals. But can't even make the bench???

Have to feel sorry for John made mistakes today but when you look at the squad you understand why. Pay peanuts and get monkeys we look worse then Oxford
Not in that game, we didn't. We looked better than them in all departments and the keeper had a blinder. We just look like we haven't the confidence to finish it off.

First goal at home in 2 months that we've actually scored ourselves. We 'MIGHT' score another one just before Christmas if things go really well. That's how abysmal the standards of this club are, that we have to take that and not getting hammered, as something positive. Poor ownership allowing poor coaching, poor recruitment and poor standards and attitude from players have basically stuffed our season completely. Although at least the players actually tried for a change today. Unless a better manager is appointed and makes some good signings then we're going down with the worst points tally in championship history. No one at this club even cares enough to do a thing about it, so we're done. Oxford will be extremely disappointed about missing out on 3 easy points. Sorry about that Oxford.
