This was an old gaming laptop. Performance wise, upgrading ssd and ram makes the computer responds faster and do more multitask but gaming wise the gpu and cpu are obsolete therefore running new AAA here will be laggy.
thank you po for the insight! In my situation, I use this laptop mainly for video editing tasks. Upgrading the SSD and RAM did help in running Premiere Pro more smoothly. But eventually, I did end up buying a new Lenovo Legion Slim 5, for a faster CPU.
Cool, anyway, you could transfer those upgrades you have done to this laptop to your newer one.
I have the same laptop and also want to upgrade, but I have a question about the Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Many people say that is very hot SSD and needs additional cooling, so it's better not to put him into laptop, only in PC. Do you have any problems with overheating? I'm choosing between the 970 Evo Plus and the 980.
Hi Jo thanks for the video, is it possible for you to check if we can use 1x16 gb stick with 1x8gb stick? as per manual it is not recommended but I didn't want to spend much on an old laptop. highly appreciated if you can check. :)

Hi, do you know where the switch is, when you closed the lid it'll go to sleep?
Hi there! Which switch were you referring to? When you close the lid, the screen will go black but the system would not go to sleep immediately.
