    In this video, I will show you how to replace the trackpad and keyboard cable on a 13-inch MacBook Pro 2015. This is a relatively simple repair that can be done at home with a few basic tools.
    Tools Needed:
    * Phillips head screwdriver
    * Torx T5 screwdriver
    * Small flashlight
    * New trackpad and keyboard cable
    Instructions:
    Start by turning off your MacBook Pro and unplugging it from power.
    Remove the bottom case of your MacBook Pro by unscrewing the 10 Phillips head screws that hold it in place.
    Once the bottom case is removed, you will see the trackpad and keyboard cable. It is a long, thin cable that connects the trackpad and keyboard to the logic board.
    Use the Torx T5 screwdriver to remove the two screws that secure the trackpad and keyboard cable to the logic board.
    Carefully disconnect the trackpad and keyboard cable from the logic board.
    Disconnect the trackpad and keyboard cable from the trackpad and keyboard.
    Install the new trackpad and keyboard cable in the reverse order.
    Reassemble your MacBook Pro and turn it on.
    Tips:
    * Be careful not to damage the trackpad and keyboard cable when you are removing or installing it.
    * Make sure that the trackpad and keyboard cable is properly seated in the connector on the logic board.
    * If you are not comfortable working on your MacBook Pro, you may want to take it to a qualified technician to have the trackpad and keyboard cable replaced.
    By following these instructions, you can replace the trackpad and keyboard cable on your 13-inch MacBook Pro 2015 and fix any problems that you are having with your trackpad or keyboard.

    Great job! Very helpful. I just broke the cable while replacing the battery. Is there a way to take the remain residual inside the socket and replace the cable?

      It’s not safe to do that. It must be done by a professional

    Hey! So I think there might be something wrong with my socket at the bottom where the cable goes into, the cable won't go in one side but it starts going in on the other side. Could there be a broken pin?

      Possibly. When you removed the old cable, was the cable broken or it came out without any broken edge?

      Make sure both ends are snug in place and the rest of the cable are glued tightly in top of the battery with enough adhesive. Make it doesn’t wiggle by any chance.

    I damaged the zif connector in this process. The little plastic thingy broke. Now my trackpad won't work as soon as I put on the housing. I guess, the connection is not permanent any more. :/

      Check your battery cable again. Make sure when you replug it, it is snuck into place.

    That's not the keyboard cable, that's only the trackpad cable.

    • @CamTechElearning
      @CamTechElearning  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it’s for both. You can remove this cable and test your keyboard to see if it works.

    •  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CamTechElearning the keyboard cable connects to the right of the cable you disconnected. If you remove the logic board you can see where it goes.

      The keyboard has multiple cables that do different functions. Without this cable being connected, neither the keyboard or trackpad will work. Not sure why this is the case, but that's how they've set it up. @
