A creative way to display the tatted lace is attaching it to velvet wrapped cardboard or mat board (local craft store) insert from an antique frame. Using a darker velvet makes the stitching stand out. So glad you both appreciate the beauty of handmade items. I collect second hand knitted and croched blankets. Enjoy having something so beautifully crafted. Always enjoy seeing your programs!
I used to have my front yard like that too, and got sooooo many compliments about that, and when we had to sell the House, the guy that bought it, removed EVERYTHING, front, side, and backyard... today, 8 years after, my heart still cringes when i drive by there
Lots of cactus in the hills south of Swift Current at Lac Pelletier. I remember climbing the hills as a kid and encountering the prickly plants. A person had to be careful not to lose their footing because if you needed to use your hand to brace yourself while climbing or especially trying to go back down the hill, you were sure to come in contact with something!
I loved when Karen said she didn’t need the costume because she “was already a princess”! LOL. Good to go shopping with you guys as we really can’t still have or go to sales safely here in Florida. That man’s garden was STUNNING!
It was beautiful but the price was near the top - speaking compared to our local market here of course. I'm sure in larger centers like NY or Vancouver it's worth more than $75. 😁
Hey Karen and Rob..... WOW that chest at the first sale was very much like the chest I saved from my neighbor's trash. And the price was so right! The crochet stuff reminds me of Grandma....she would just sit and crochet the most wonderful things and never had a pattern. Too bad about that telephone. It was really sweet looking They were so anxious to get rid of stuff, he might have given it to you cheap. And maybe someone dropped it at the sale. Like your free clothes. I'm fixn to go out and treat myself to socially distanced Mexican lunch...today I'm 74. linda
The price for that piano stool is about what I've seen in my travels, for stools not refurbished but still in nice shape.---Amaranthus is the name of that dreadlock plant. It does well here in our Coastal town.---That's how I feel about my garage sales (on the rare occasion I have one!), I price so that others pay me to haul my stuff away!---
When I get ready for a yard sale I do everything necessary before I go to bed. Then I think of fifty more things I want to sell and get up to locate, price and move those items. Then I start worrying that I left some prices off and I go check. By then it is 5am and if I can sleep I get 2 hours.
Free is nice but the best part of this episode is that you honestly showed that two-thirds of the sales that you visited were complete busts. Thanks for the reminder.
Omg that mans garden 🌻🌼🌺🌸was like Alice in Wonderland! Grow lights in garage and basement. His electric bill must be outrageous! Soooo glad your back doing what you love. Morning is not same unless it starts watching you drinking my coffee.
I have those candles and they’re great they come in handy when you lose power to just make sure that you have it pointed at the candles otherwise it doesn’t work the remote
There is a prickly pear cactus that is perineal in Michigan. I have yet to find one. I think here they are protected. That is what that cactus was that was growing out front.
Hi kids, that was a typical English country garden, soooo beautiful!! I do love the electric candles, & most last quite a while. That lady may have bought 2 pillows, used 1, then selling the unused one, since many people are funny about buying used ones. Karen, you're so cute, with your tats, & your crossed pistols shirt, you look like one mean motor scooter with velvet lining!!! Really some good deals today, even got to go shopping with a PRINCESS!! I think I might have bought the old phone anyway, did'nt catch the price tho. Thanks for entertainment in my mundain morning!!
The old phone was priced good, I think only $15 or so if memory serves me correctly.... the hand piece was broken broken.. like in multiple pieces. The only thing holding it together was the cable inside... too bad I was so looking forward to buying it but I just don't think in that condition... I suppose one could try to replace just the handset...
Bargain Barons Just wondering if you have been to Kinder Antique in Davidson or Antique Canoe in Indian Head they both would make good content for your channel!
My dream garden I bought 2 baby succulents at a garage sale last year and they have multiple like crazy. Here Texas we have to wear a mask at garage sales but just glad we can go.
That metal trunk from the first sale looks like a British Home Child trunk. There is a group on Facebook, British Home Child Canada that is interested in collecting and reuniting these trunks with descendants of children that were sent to Canada.
Growing up on a farm in the middle of Sask, My mom had cactus growing in a couple of old tires in our yard until a few of us kids accidentally backed into them and she had to pull out the prickles from our backsides. LOL Not fun.
what a fun outing! loved Queen B shirt"milk mans kid"---lol I'm totally getting one for my parents 50th wedding anniversary coming up :) gotta love free yard sales :) thank y'all so much for the video absolutely made my day
Like the candles, yes, the prices were very good! Liked the piano stool but didn't hear the price. LOL, $160 for a pillow! Then even $50, I agree, wayyyyy too much!!
They don’t spend $300 on flowers because they deadhead or take the bulb/flowers and dry them out. Those “daisy like” flowers are called Purple Coneflowers. Most of what he has is a perennial. What a lovely yard!
I would not have been shy , would have rolled up the tarp with everything, that’s what they said to do , can always give to neighbours or friends that can’t get out 😀😀
We hit 29 yardsale over the weekend got a couple of things that I can't remember what .Terrible, traveled about 300 miles. This was the worst yardsales ever for us.
Was wondering why there was no Rock Star in drink holders... LOL Free is good.. Now Rob you can do a short video on modeling those clothes... :) She didn't sleep on it she probably sat on it.. LOL..
I was wondering how the guys wife knew she didn't like the pillow if she didn't sleep on it. I mean, it was the first thing he said trying to justify the price and if you are a logical person, it really didn't make sense. Did she squeeze it like Rob, did she put her hand on it and push down and from those two movements she knew it wasn't going to work? Yeah, I'm not one for sleeping on someone else's pillow. I get Medusa hair if my hair thinks someone else slept on her pillow!
Yeah... we don't really collect that kind of glass and we run across it more often than you'd think actually, so selling it locally wouldn't be SUPER easy like you might think....
So glad you are back. Rob, you are a "phoney" person, I just got a new phone. Trying to figure it out. It gives me a choice of an email. I choose one. Put in a password and it tells me it doesn't recognize it. Cannot order groceries without a phone. Soooooo hot here in TX. Miserable. Weeks on end.
I was without a phone for 2 weeks. Not really safe. No tech support so figured it out myself. Ordered groceries. So hot my elbows sweat. If you want a giggle in all your free time, look up the Raccoon Whisperer in Nova Scotia. He is feeding 19 baby raccoons. Their mamas let him baby sit. They all have different personalities. Your brick patio looks good!!!
In honor of Rob, I am officially petitioning for a name change for camelback trunks to now be called “humpbacks” in honor of whales and Rob’s astute observation. I couldn’t pass this up Rob. I am leaving the pecking bird thing alone though. The virus has gotten to my brain!
No requirement where we live in Canada. Our city of 250,000 people has 30 known cases I believe... although the number changes slightly from day to day. We are keeping a close eye on the numbers though and do have masks and where them when required by a seller.
Bargain Barons thanks for responding. I’m in USA, wishing I were in Canada ...for soooo many reasons, including how u all have responsibly addressed the virus, including masks. Thanks again and continue to stay healthy!
HI guys....where's jerry?? the man's yard was fabulous...the catus in the desert....it freezes in the desert at night and even snows. my husband and i drove the truck(18 wheeler) from coast to coast. never made it to Canada. we are both retired now. so i just go yard saleing with you two. take care....let me know if you find that pecker anywhere!!!......K$
That flower garden and yard was so awesome! The amount of work I can’t imagine! Thanks for showing it😁😁♥️
A creative way to display the tatted lace is attaching it to velvet wrapped cardboard or mat board (local craft store) insert from an antique frame. Using a darker velvet makes the stitching stand out.
So glad you both appreciate the beauty of handmade items. I collect second hand knitted and croched blankets. Enjoy having something so beautifully crafted.
Always enjoy seeing your programs!
Held Hostage at my Neck , that brought a smile to my face , first smile all day , thank you 🥰🥰
I’m in love with that mid century dresser at the free clothes garage sale!😍
I think those long, hanging blossoms are called Chenille plants. I’m sure that’s not the technical name.
I used to have my front yard like that too, and got sooooo many compliments about that, and when we had to sell the House, the guy that bought it, removed EVERYTHING, front, side, and backyard... today, 8 years after, my heart still cringes when i drive by there
Please explain and possibly show that interesting book Karen takes along with you on the yard sale excursions.
LOL I'm sure we've talked about it before, but it's just an old binder full of paper, and Karen writes all the day's sales in it. 😀😆😁
🤣I wonder who has the job of weeding the cactus garden? Not me!😅 I love to rewatch you two!
Ouch!! Ya that would be a bit of a surprise!! Reach up to grab a rock and..... 😆
I loved when Karen said she didn’t need the costume because she “was already a princess”! LOL. Good to go shopping with you guys as we really can’t still have or go to sales safely here in Florida. That man’s garden was STUNNING!
Excellent piano seat LOVE IT. I think I couldn't leave without it !! 😊

*Happy birthday Linda!!!* Wow!! 74 years young!!! I'm so sorry I didn't see this the same day you posted it! Hope you enjoyed your Mexican feast!! 🎈🎁🎉
The flowers in that yard was amazing. Glad you are back and taking me along with you ☺️
Those pillows are AWESOME.
I have 2 and paid 150 apiece.
One side is cool and one side us warm. They will last forever.

The red droopy flower things, my mum called " Love lies bleeding".
Those purple looking daisy flowers are called coneflowers they also have white ones.
kathleen bond old fashioned flowers I think
They are Echinacea, also used as a medicinal plant.
Free is nice but the best part of this episode is that you honestly showed that two-thirds of the sales that you visited were complete busts. Thanks for the reminder.
Haha Thanks again Ken!! 😆😄

Shows how much I know abut cactus LOL - I'm surprised to find a type that comes back after -40° winters. Just didn't expect it. 😄
So glad to see you back.
Our first few weeks back sailing in Michigan was slow too ...good luck picking

Love you TH-cam channel! You can find cactus growing in the QuApplle valley they have beautiful yellow blooms in the spring !
Wow! Didn't know that, but then I (rob) actually grew up in BC and haven't been exploring around SK much regrettably... Thanks Heather! 😄😄
Thanks Lucy! Where we live in Canada it is well under control at the moment.... so masks are not required but we are watching the numbers closely.
That metal trunk from the first sale looks like a British Home Child trunk. There is a group on Facebook, British Home Child Canada that is interested in collecting and reuniting these trunks with descendants of children that were sent to Canada.

Another great video guys! So glad you're back!! Missed ya! Love, from Toledo, Ohio!!
They don’t spend $300 on flowers because they deadhead or take the bulb/flowers and dry them out. Those “daisy like” flowers are called Purple Coneflowers. Most of what he has is a perennial. What a lovely yard!

I live near a thrift that sells $1 clothing., but it doesn't go fast. Men's clothing though, if I'd ever find it in my size.

I would have looked through those dolls you never you could find a 1972 Kenner Blythe or Little Miss No Name, both valuable dolls only made 1 year.
I was wondering how the guys wife knew she didn't like the pillow if she didn't sleep on it. I mean, it was the first thing he said trying to justify the price and if you are a logical person, it really didn't make sense. I did a quick look-up. Plant’s scientific name is Acalypha hispida.
Cool! 😃👍
Is there not a mask requirement or recommendation? Curious. Thanks

Hahaha Jerry's around.. ran into him this weekend actually. 😀😁 He pretends he doesn't want to be on camera all the time hahahahahaha.
Yeah, right. It was never slept on? How did she know she didn't like it.
🤣😂
Love the show. I’m addicted. But please guys put some nifty masks on and lead the way.
