I did P90x for 2 years straight. Originally I went from 287lbs down to 172, in 2 years of p90x and im 5' 9". Currently im about 165lbs and haven't done p90x in about 10 years and im gettn soft. Deffenitly going to do the OG P90X again. I know it works, I remember the work outs, but it is a huge commitment and long work outs. The yoga had me so flexible, I could place my palms on the ground! Now I can barley touch my toes 😆
Ok I am wondering because I took the fitness test on youtube and I am not in good enough shape for p90x. I am 187 lbs but had my whole neck fused front and back... Did you have to modify moves to make them easier for p90x?
Ppl sleep on P90X,I remember first time I did Chest and Back…..I died…I was sore for a week in places I didn’t know existed, I still include that workout in my routine , and yr right, the yoga was awesome and beginner friendly,
At different times I e enjoyed P90x and Body Beast. I think it just depends what you’re feeling at the time. I’d start one and complete it then start the other and just see which you prefer and try the other in the future. Thank you for the video !
It’s crazy that we still don’t have a new body beast. I know he’s released some extra stuff here and there like hard labour. But come on…Beast 2 is due!
I disagree with you about the p90x yoga. For me it was very difficult to begin with but in the context of something that will have long term life changing results, it is a must.
I enjoy these videos. Right now I'm not doing either of these programs I recently finished a round of 6 weeks of the work which I loved! So now I'm doing a hybrid of 10 rounds and the work. I do all the boxing workouts but in place of the strength workout I found the work to be more fun for me personally
That’s great, especially since it is working for you. 10 Rounds seems like a huge hit...lots of good reviews, I assume you agree? I haven’t tried that one out yet!
Good video, Bob! I completed Body Beast in June and started P90X3 in July, but I wasn't looking forward to the workouts the way I looked forward to the Body Beast workouts. I think I'll start up Body Beast again, but I might incorporate a few more cardio workouts each week.
I started with p90x like 5 years ago, then Insanity, insanity max 30 and this year I used p90x2 where I felt a better improvement for my running performance, but I want to try Beast to improve the health of my joints
I'm 51. Been doing 90x3 for 6 years and love it but considering doing Body Beast . 90x3 offers you functionality and average tone built but I need more . Also looking into cross fit but its $$
Yeah I have been interested in checking out crossfit but as you mentioned it's costly ($$) and also has the challenge of committing to when you have to show up, etc.
Forget crossfit. It's not worth it to be honest. It's a "strange" community and you can get injured quite quickly. I know a lot who went too far with it and had to take a very long break from working out. The got infected with the "boast and show off" virus of the community and overdid it.
Ive done p90x the 10 min videos 2 times in my life. They work for beginners and old people or like me coming back from serious injurys. And its only 10 mins and when u want do 2 a day. Also if your pressed on time or on vacation or out of town for work. Is there anything else like them? Also if your lazy u can do 10 mins. Or if your a mom with kids.
I don't skip Yoga for one day!! I've skipped it for 10 years!! To be fair though, I also skip Plyo (Substitute it). When I don't do Plyo, I might do 30 mins of Yoga on one day and 1hr the next day.
👍🏾 had to like cause I’ve definitely skipped yoga sometimes throughout the many times thats I’ve done P90X. Yes yoga was the worst workout. But, it made me great. It’s very necessary. Did Beast_Cardio yesterday for the first time 🥵 phew. I thought I was gonna breeze through that. NOPE! (To me it’s the hardest Beast workout I’ve done, so far.)
I did insanity on and off for years. It ruined my joints. Kinda want to try p90x and the others. Insanity worked but it hurt and I could not get past the first series of dvds.
That's amazing. Only a few rounds, too many years in a dusty cupboard and a few of mine are scratched and jump. Obviously not great at looking after my stuff.
Maybe do 6 programs each days. Three P90x program for 90 days and Three Insanity Programs for 60 days. Morning: P90x and Insanity Afternoon: P90x2 and Insanity Max 30 Evening: P90x3 and Insanity asylum
@@isaacogunmuko3947 I can do that when I was in my 20s. I am 45 year old. Maybe Morning and Evening will work. My recovery period slowed down when I reached 43.
Hey Bob! Love your videos. I just wrapped up The work and love it. Previously I had some insanity then insanity max 30. I feel great and would love to go even further. I’m hesitating between lifft 4 or P90X3 with an extra 20 min of dumbbells. Would you have any suggestions on what I should do next?
I just started X3 into my 3rd day and I’m sore!!! I’ve been doing all these workouts since 2003 except X3, so I’m already in shape, but can’t believe how sore I am!!! My butt especially 😆 I don’t like the yoga either... BORING!!! Xstretch is actually my favorite!!!
Okay, after 3 years of body beast daily, my wife pronounced that I was buff. Needless to say, you keep upping the weight whenever finishing was too easy. Within about 10 rounds, you are now lifting more than Sagi does in the video. Then you buy the Encylopedia of Bodybuilding by Arnold. Of course, once you have some experience, then it is good to consult the ultimate source. Also, you really refine your diet. By this time, you have spent hundreds if not more than a thousand on weight training equipment. Lifting is no longer just something you press play for every day. It is a total lifestyle. Got to keep the yoga though because flexability. Doesn't hurt that she likes touching my muscles :)
That's fine and kudos to you. However, life is about enjoying multiple past times and experiences. Every man wants to be jacked, but I also want to enjoy other aspects of life. I'm not afraid to skip a workout in favour of an important social gathering. P90x should be a way of life, not life itself.
Body beast is the guaranteed winner BUT ONLY if you have sets of weights that you can progress through. And best part is it will get ready to lift heavier weights. P90x is still really good, it will get you fit an lean. I just think it takes too long and some of the moves are not as safe anymore.
I did 2 rounds of p90x loved it then 2 rounds of x3 lost a total of 70 lbs got skinny fat because i was not eating enough. Did a reverse diet for over 6 months and on my 3rd round of body beast added 15 lbs back looking way more muscler getting ready to cut to lose the rest of my body fat . Both programs are great 👍 but do yourself a favor and learn about nutrition its so so important i now eat 3500 calories aday :) I recommend watching a series on TH-cam by lane Norton called why diets fail its a 5 part video all free he is not selling anything but man the info changed my life
To get even fit would it be a good idea to follow more than one beachbody program. Like P90x in the morning and Body Best in the evening. Workout both programs for 90 days.
I’m gunna be doing body beast one where I live I can’t be doing the jumping around and plus weightlifting interests me more I e been wanting to do body beast for couple yrs now just need to pull the trigger plus more muscle u have more fat you’ll burn

@Chris W I did. I can't do push-ups. Even when I wasn't heavy I couldn't. I do my push-ups on the kitchen counter like you would do wall push ups.
Ppl sleep on P90X,I remember first time I did Chest and Back…..I died…I was sore for a week in places I didn’t know existed, I still include that workout in my routine , and yr right, the yoga was awesome and beginner friendly,

In Tony’s defense, he was one of the first weight lifting programs, his long yoga session was a bit much, but he was his own template
I’m going to do body beast after completing p90x. Then go back to p90x after completing body beast
P90x got me the cheerleading captain in hs over the summer, came back a whole different person, played 0 sports lmao. Tony Horton is the goat
I use P90x3's Yoga for P90X yoga day.
I disagree with you about the p90x yoga. For me it was very difficult to begin with but in the context of something that will have long term life changing results, it is a must.

Just substitute with the P90X3 yoga. It’s only 30 minutes, and still hits the spots while keeping it short.
Ive done both and this is very well formulated. Good job sir.
Good video, Bob! I completed Body Beast in June and started P90X3 in July, but I wasn't looking forward to the workouts the way I looked forward to the Body Beast workouts. I think I'll start up Body Beast again, but I might incorporate a few more cardio workouts each week.
Beast up!!
I’ve done both, personally loveeeee body beast had such great results.
p90x yoga is the best. If I had only one exercise video, that would be it.
And if you can mix in Tony's Patience Yoga and Fountain of Youth videos, the life changing results will amaze you.
Yeah right😂
I started with p90x like 5 years ago, then Insanity, insanity max 30 and this year I used p90x2 where I felt a better improvement for my running performance, but I want to try Beast to improve the health of my joints
A Dig Deeper vs BodyBeast video please!
When I did p90x, I wouldn't necessary skip yoga, buy I would skip the second half of the workout. So I'd at least get about 45 minutes of it

You got this!
I never ever missed any yoga day

Me either. At first it was tough but now I actually look forward to it.

@@PandawdyBob yes I would. Doing body beast now and I am getting good results, need to tweak my diet though.
Body beast is amazing
Where can I buy the complete program with all the books and sheets?
Right now they only offer their demand streaming service. For the books and sheets and DVDs the best spots are likely Amazon or Ebay
@@BobSharpe do you know what that includes? Asking about the body beast by the way. Will look on amazon or ebay.
@@junior17medval if you sign up for the on demand service you can print out the sheets for the programs
Lift 4 vs body beast ?
Through X2 I kinda fell in love with yoga
Tony calls P90X2 “the one that got away” - it has some great workouts in it...I may need to revisit that one again sometime in the coming year!
@@BobSharpe I love it. It allowed me to add some extra tools to my toolbox. I’ll always have some of these workouts in my regiment.
@@BobSharpe I was given p90x by my niece's husband as a gift!
I still use my original p90x dvds. And yes I skipped yoga about 400 times in the past 19 years lol.
That's amazing. Only a few rounds, too many years in a dusty cupboard and a few of mine are scratched and jump. Obviously not great at looking after my stuff.
I swap the x3 yoga in the P90X series. Also I sub MMX for kenpo. It's more of a workout even though it's 30 minutes.
I replaced yoga with sweat intervals from max 30
Haha I love that!!!!
Body beast it actually help me more then p90x
you cannot achieve a sculpted body in 90 days. you are right you have to do it more often and add other programs if you reach your peak.
Maybe do 6 programs each days. Three P90x program for 90 days and Three Insanity Programs for 60 days.
Morning: P90x and Insanity

I totally cut the yoga part out and sub in the cardio x or stretch x.
I always did strech X instead of yoga.

The physique of tony person in P90x blows my mind
*Horton. Yes, he's ripped for sure. Like Superman IRL
I love YogaX. Especially to do it with a few guys who think Yoga ist just for women 😅. Stay flexible.
To build muscle which would be better?
body beast is definitely the best beach body has to offer for building muscle.

I took yoga out of my program altogether.i replaced it with cardio x

Body Beast? Never heard of it.
Anyone that has the time in the morning, afternoon, and evening they follow this.
Morning: Beast Body
Afternoon: P90x
Evening: Insanity Max 30
LOL, unless you're a full-time fitness model, very few people would have time for that!
I agree, this too much it looks doable for some people. For young people it's very possible. But for adults with many other priorities no way.
