I love his style of music. It's like pop,punk and electro mixed together
to all the people who keep saying these type of comments "he could've taken more risks" "this song is just basic radio music" "what happened? his old songs were so good??" stfu. seriously stfu. i am sooo sick of these types of comments. i get everyone has their opinions but really? people's music changes, get the fuck over it. and this is not "basic radio music" this has so much more deep meanings and love put into it then half of the crap that plays on the radio nowadays. yes the music might be similar in layout but that's it. this song means so much to me because i'm going through a lot of tough shit in my life. the lyrics are beautiful, the layout is beautiful, the music is beautiful, everything is beautiful about this song. so please just take a moment to listen to it? i know change is hard but i swear his music is changing in the direction he wants it to change and he enjoys what he's making. thank you for your time.

Kaylee Janakos well i mean sometimes people get different tastes in music. if his music was all the same then people wouldn't listen to it. sometimes you need to shake it up a bit. plus he could prefer this type of music better than the music he made before. there's a lot of different reasons why his genera could have changed. i guess it's just up to him and what he loves doing.

I'm a fan of The 1975, it does sound like The 1975. Not the vocals, the instrumentals.
Denise Moral Actually, I do listen to The 1975, but I've been listening to The Ready Set a lot longer and more often, and the only song I got a vibe for The 1975 on this album was Disappearing Act. But then I listened to more of The 1975(their self-titled more specifically), comparing their sound to this album in specific, and it seems that this album TRS put out concentrates more on the pop/synth aspect of his music. This and Disappearing Act are the only 2 songs that are the closest to that The 1975 sound, but the rest of the album gave me a totally different sense of influences. The twangy, bright sounding guitars with complimenting synth is the only aspect of this album I can compare to The 1975, other than that, it sounds pretty different in my opinion
