It can be. There is absolutely a good value in realising your limitations and that there are certain roles and purposes that are simply beyond you.
You should be aware of what you are realistically capable of and build a life from there, not spend a life desperately chasing fairytales and dreams that you could potentially never fill.
The problem with a lot of the "dream big", "you can be anything" and other inspirational narratives is that they are fundamentally flawed as they are constructed entirely from the smaller samples of those who succeed, without factoring in all those who failed.
For every iconic medalist in a race, there is the entire group of competitors who never got on the podium that are ultimately forgotten.

“3 hours on on homework problem”
He acts like this is something crazy. In fact when studying physics the first few semesters you have to deal with maths homework, theoretical physics homework and one experiment each week for which you have to evaluate the data and write a protocol. Taking three hours trying to solve one single problem is not that uncommon, but there are even more things to do. So 12-14h working a day is really common in the first few semesters.
It is designed that way to separate people who really want to do this from the ones who don’t. The most important skill ist to never give up. Getting really frustrated because things do not work out the first time you try it is half of the fun. But the next day you try again with a different approach and again and again until you finally work it out. Just don’t give up!
I don’t like this story, because giving up, once it’s getting hard is not a trait that makes you achieve your goals.

    • @alxhrdng5814
      @alxhrdng5814 ปีที่แล้ว

See that's where you're wrong. It's perfectly explicable: he's evil and greedy. Solving those things wouldn't add to his wealth so he doesn't do them.
Plus there's always the old excuse Elon used, and that's to push the burden of coming up with a plan on the people who confront him about his greed and hoarding of wealth. He tells THEM to come up with a plan as if he couldn't just pay somebody else to do THAT too. And it'd be easy, but it's easier still to shift that burden and absolve himself of all responsibility in the eyes of stupid mouthbreathers who drink every word out of his mouth like the last drop of water in a vast desert.
So it is with Elon, and Bezos, and every other rich bastard on the planet. Evil.

Americans give this guy too much flak for no reason; just because he’s made a huge success for himself and thousands around him.
He’s not taken any money from anyone; he’s created wealth/value that would not have been there/taken a lot longer to achieve if u took him out the equation. AWS, Prime, sports, freight etc. You shit on him but you’d be devastated if he packed up the business and relocated abroad. Give the man some credit and stop spouting BS because ur edgy and cool….

I think it's because his 1 of the richest people with a very successful business yet most of his employees live on food stamps and work in harsh conditions. He exploits people intentionally or not, respect is earned not owed.
If it's more cost-effective I'm sure he will move abroad, I don't think he stays as a favour to his current employees. Infact aren't they trying to replace the current workforce with as much automation as possible.
If he moved other businesses would take their place, smaller and more independent companies could also be more competitive when it comes to pay.
You might even have more options interms of workplace to pick from.

Einstein wasn't the best mathematician of his time and Math was not responsible for formulating relativity. Rather, math was used as a tool to prove the theory and not derive theory out of pure math. So, its very bad to think you need to be best in order to succeed in a field. Creativity and imagination along with hard work is what makes people successful.

Wealth builders need not be knowledgeable, they should have extraordinary talent in handling people. If his room mate and himself doesn't have technical sound knowledge, it doesn't mean nobody is not knowledgeable.
