    My favorite stretch of road! I was born a few hundred feet away from it at North York General 45 years ago. My pregnant mother stuck in 401 traffic back then.

      1:05 and here’s one from Quebec although there are much more of those because Quebec is right beside Ontario. New York and New Jersey license plates are quite common here too.

    Do any of the HOV lanes in the GTA include reserved lanes for EVs and/or PHEVs similar to what they have in Quebec (like the A20 East coming into Montreal).

      Vehicles with Green Vehicle plates are permitted in HOV lanes in Ontario.

    They should build a tunnel from Mrs. Sauga to Markham.

      Honestly, I’m not a fan of that idea personally. Do you know it would take several decades to carry out a project of this magnitude? I’ve heard it could take upwards of 30 years! Traffic in our region would be absolute chaos for a very long time (it’s already bad enough). Our city would be a bigger mess. What we really need is reliable and more expansive public transit. Unless you live close the subway, it’s not easy getting anywhere without fighting the traffic.

      @@FreewayAndrewCAN thats true, but building a tunnel where the gardener is downtown would make more sense. It would tie in the city to the waterfront.

    • @FreewayAndrewCAN
      @FreewayAndrewCAN หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@billyboy4797 yeah good point. It would be kinda nice if we had something similar to the Ville-Marie Tunnels in Montreal or the “Big Dig” in Boston. Especially seeing as they can’t really improve the Gardiner with what it is currently. For the 401 though it would be absolutely disastrous to try and build that underneath it for 55 km.

      @@FreewayAndrewCAN exactly. Toronto has even more potential to become an undisputed world class city.
