I wanted to share I made the cauliflower bahji today tweaking it for what I had on hand and it is delicious! I added chickpeas to it for some protein and served it over brown rice. Fantastic! Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Was this your first time having Jalapeño cornbread? How did you like it? I use the Jiffy cornmuffin mix to make mine, but my mom used cornmeal. I like the touch of sweetness of Jiffy. Back in the 80's Jiffy cornmuffin mix was 4 for a $1. Today, they are 67 cents each. If you ever make homemade chili, use the leftovers for chili cornbread. All you do is put the chili at the bottom of the pan, add cheese, put the cornbread mixture on top(don't stir), and bake. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day
@@MelroseLifeataGlance Yes, I never had added in anything to cornbread before. The recipe I used is a copycat for the Jiffy mix so it does have a bit of sweetness. Thanks for the idea about using leftover chili in cornbread!
Your meals look delicious! I grew up in Boston, so " beans and franks" are a favorite going back to childhood. We ate them every Saturday, a New England tradition. I love corn bread and your recipe sounds so good. I always enjoy watching your channel.
I've been watching your videos for a while and I notice that when you go over budget, you deduct the overage from your budget the following week and give yourself less to spend. But most weeks you are under budget and when that happens, you do not give yourself the benefit of using those excess funds the next week. How come? With such a small budget, seems like you'd want to use every penny of it.

@Groceryvlog2024-uz9fj that Jiffy mix is great. You only add 1/4 milk and 1 egg per box.
I've seen people make "corndogs" using cornbread mix too

@@ThirdActDiaries I use the leftover budget to pay down debt.
@@Groceryvlog2024-uz9fj Aaah, that makes sense. Very disciplined!
