A rare ghazal this time - Chaman Mein Rang-e-Bahaar Utraa To Maine Dekha. Ustad Ji in terrific form - and Munir Niyazi's poetry is outstanding. For all discernable listeners.
This is one of the great melodies of Ghulam Ali sb. First I had had listened to this along with other very exotic and fabulous creations of him in 1984. This makes me nostalgic. Can you do a favour? I have been looking for -- Ye Alam e shaukh ka dekha na jaye sung beatifully by ghulam ali sb. Can u plz upload this one??
This I have been listening for last 37 years, one of my two best renditions by great Gulam Ali Sahab (other is "Kahe banao jhuti batia ham se"). I believe only these two renditions have made him, in my eyes, the greatest Ghazalist I have ever listened to. However, can anyone do me a favor, I still don't know the meaning of the lyrics (a Bengali from Bangaldesh). Can anyone please post the English translation of this? Will remain highly obliged.
This one is a very "picturesque, visual" poetry and a literal translation is difficult, and often without the desired result :) Do you know about Rekhta - they have been helpful in looking up words/passages for the last many years for me. (Also, very glad to see you mention 'Kahe banao jhoothi' - what a lovely composition!)
Fragrance of great gulam ali creation is felt in this ghazal
