in my tv class, last year, we used emmet's story to learn story telling. It was everyones FAVORITE story, it is the story that made most of us fall in love with packages. Today, we all watched this story, but our instructor skipped the first part giving context. We all screamed. Gagged.

I like that he built his with a sling for the dog's body to rest in. Some of the designs I've seen on the market don't seem to give the animals sufficient support for their body to be able to just relax as they're in the harness.

I love that Emmet designed the cradle as a hammock. I've only seen wheelchairs with the toes dragging the ground. The hammock eliminates that and keeps the legs out of the way. I dare say it's more comfortable for the animal too. Great job Emmet.

As a wheelchair user, I did not know that they have wheelchairs for dogs too! This is amazing what Emmett did for Lenny the dog! Earling is smiling down! He's going, "That's my boy, Emmett!" Hard to believe that he's 11 years old now! Seems like yesterday, he was that little boy playing with Earling! I have a feeling Lenny the dog along with some other human friends for Emmett will pick up right where Earling left off, but they will never replace him. Emmett, you and Earling will meet again in heaven, but for now, I know he is smiling down on his favorite boy! He is so proud of you!

It is not genius. Genius is 10% Inspiration and 90% Perspiration. He has the right mix to be a very good engineer or problem solver. Plus, his teacher knew that this was important to him. Who cares if some company makes them? This young man is surrounded by people who are nurturing his mind and heart. Good for them too.
