Thank you Richard. Maybe bit off more than I could chew on this occasion. But like an escaped carp, maybe I'll come back for another PBP in 4 years time
Great video, love the atmosphere. I think I passed you during the first night in the end. I got to Brest about the time you got to Carhaix. I think you made the right decision to stop where you did. Brest back to Carhaix and onwards was even hotter and hillier (the new section was the hilliest but also nicest part of the route).
Thank you Paul. Yes, I saw on other videos (like @buzzalong , an extremely strong cyclist) that the heat and the hills on the return leg were getting to her too. No regrets at all bailing when I did. Well done on getting so far in such conditions
Good effort Bob, I was wondering how you got on, it really doesn't take much to let time slip away - don't ask me how I know this lol.....and interesting to see Rab finishing there too. [Garry - recumbent Trike]
Thanks Bob. Not sure there was any mix-up with times (although I could, of course, have carried on in the hope of completing in time). The sleep (or rather tiredness, for I slept like a babe!) and heat factors were probably the biggest reasons for pulling the plug. It's easy, of course, to make excuses. But after quite a number of audax rides undr my belt I think I've now finally learnt when to call it a day. Still more videos to come to cover-off the ride back home. Stay tuned
Thank you for watching, Romain. The bicycle I rode was a 40-year old Flying Gate. This is a rather unusual and special classic frame steel bicycle going back to the 1930's. They are still hand-made today in the UK, see tjcycles.co.uk/ You can see other Flying Gates in this video - th-cam.com/video/Sqfcj7Ks0_o/w-d-xo.html

Thank you Gary. I could have carried on and not worried about the time, but the hot weather was a major factor in deciding to finish the ride early.
Great work Bob 👍
Pity about the control closing times mix up

On the picture cover of your video, I see that your bike has a specific frame. Do you have a video or blog post where your present it ?
