I disagree about Bryce Young. His passing was sub-par and he only had one or two QB runs. The Bama receivers dropped balls and the “great” Will Anderson had four penalties against him. Bama looked like dog food.

Texas missed a big tackle at the end, a dropped INT early that would have put them in FG range and really just a ton of other mistakes. The also were unlucky on the safety play and losing their starting QB and the missed PI in the first that would have set them up great for a chance at a TD, but simply said they let this one slip away. Still even though it was a loss, I think Texas proved a lot and probably should be ranked next week. I think Alabama should lose that number 1 ranking too. Not that it really matters this early in the season.
Game came down to a last second FG by Bama. Texas had their backup Qb with a bad ankle nearly the whole game. The fact it was this close says a lot about Bama. Specifically, it's a joke they are ranked above Georgia.

After attending this game, this had to be the loudest stadium we have been to. As a proud Alum of The University of Alabama, this game was probably the best I have seen in person. Still to this day, this game makes me anxious. Thank you to Texas for being a good host.
His play calling and game day adjustments were horrible today against Alabama. He coaches not to lose when he should be coaching to win. His defensive and offensive play calling was horrible in the second half. He is just not a good head coach. He doesn't play to win. What a shame. Because this Texas team is good. As an Alabama fan this game reminds me so much of the 2003 #1 Oklahoma at Alabama game. That was before Alabama was considered the king of college football. It was just another game to #1 Oklahoma but to Alabama it was the Super Bowl. Alabama played with heart and determination, keeping the game neck and neck all the way to the late 4th quarter until Oklahoma finally put them away and won. It was a loss, but at the time it was considered to be a moral victory to the Alabama football program just to be able to keep the game close. My how things have changed since those days. But my point is that Texas is a program on the rise. They’ve got that same fire, that same determination and hype to return to their glory days. They’ve earned my respect.

It looks like Gary Patterson may be a godsend for Texas. His fingerprints were all over that defensive game plan, felt like I was watching some of those really good TCU teams from years past. They didn’t always have the best talent but figured out how to get the job done.

@Robert Jeffers UT should have won the majority of their games last year. They were young and played very undisciplined especially in the second half. This year's team is still young but much more disciplined and will only get better with time. Recruiting is going to be phenomenal going forward.

yep, Robinson might have even scored on that play without the facemask..at worst its first and goal...I texted my brother when that played happened and said that that no call might decide the game.
It looks like Gary Patterson may be a godsend for Texas. His fingerprints were all over that defensive game plan, felt like I was watching some of those really good TCU teams from years past. They didn’t always have the best talent but figured out how to get the job done.

@Robert Jeffers UT should have won the majority of their games last year. They were young and played very undisciplined especially in the second half. This year's team is still young but much more disciplined and will only get better with time. Recruiting

But NIL has made the playing field pretty even and this Texas team looked poised and also defensively looked very good. I think that Texas played very well, something that really annoys me is that the second Texas tied that game 10-10 Alabama started playing dirty. The refs did call penalties on Alabama but they could tripled the amount of times they called Alabama. It just sucks that the refs are hardly ever fair to Texas in college and the NFL.
