POV: It's 200. You are a 30 something cable installer and you have to stay awake for the quiz afterward

I understand that this video was produced long before the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, but it is worth mentioning- when the two main towers of the World Trade Center collapsed, the debris contained plenty of asbestos, which eyewitnesses, firefighters, police officers, and paramedics all inhaled, many of whom developed symptoms of asbestos exposure years later.

A second tragedy on an already horrific day yet you hear very little about that.

+YLW Pyro The towers required some $200 million in renovations and improvements, most of which related to removal and replacement of building materials declared to be health hazards (asbestos) in the years since the towers were built. Instead of renovation, Silverstein is rebuilding, funded by the insurance coverage on the property which 'fortuitously' covered acts of terrorism. Even better, Silverstein filed TWO insurance claims for the maximum amount of the policy, based on the two, in Silverstein's view, separate attacks. The total potential payout is $7.1 billion, more than enough to build a fabulous new complex and leave a hefty profit for the Silverstein Group, including Larry Silverstein himself.

I watched a program on the 911 attack and the damage done from the air borne dust that was created from the collapse of the two towers. It was sad to watch these people who had came into contact with the dust talk about their lives before and after. Many of them were using some medical devices to help them breathe. This week I’m taking a supervisor class on asbestos and the instructor talked about this very event and how asbestos was definitely used in the construction of the twin towers.

Why the fuck is America still using it in schools I just don’t understand, say a roof gets damaged in school it’s in the air, kids can breathe it in, the guy who comes to fix it will probably breath it in. Why is America still doing this to people just for money, is it really worth it

No, the video is from the 70's, so she came from the future.

@@elvis316 Nope, late 80s early 90s. Asbestos stopped being used in the 1980s.
