My comparison is in respect to the interpretation taken by the The Borodin Quartet which worked directly with Shostakovich while he was alive and the tempo used has just about remained constant. Music is relative and up to the listener to how it is interpreted! It's also up to the ensemble on how slow or quick they take the piece in relation to set tempo if there is one or not. I'm glad you really enjoy this piece, I did as well!
Wonderful!
Is nobody going to talk about the guy’s laser eyes in the audience at 0:53
how tf did I get copyrighted from someone in 1975
Very nice and the only thing for me that I would disagree with was that you went SO fast! I love this piece and you all did a wonderful job.
"so fast"? Is your compairson with respect to the score or with respect to other interpretations you previously heard? As for me it's perfect.

I do agree. It sounds almost out of control, especially in the beginning.
classic 1950s
this piece was actually written in 1960, but yes it definitely exemplifies his experience of the 1950's (under soviet regime)
Awful performance!!!! Way too fast. No expression and overall just sloppy attack on a lot of notes. Gross.
It's a suicide note, so I suppose that explains
@@rodrigocoockiemonster4460 they are playing at almost 1.5x speed, so look up any other performance of this and youll quickly see the difference.
