Which is just a prusa mendel with a nicer display? Which is just a RepRap Darwin? It's all iterations. And it's great. Take a good concept, refine it, compete with the other products. This one is bigger, according to some reviews better built, open source (still, using the same slicer so the experience is the same if you don't wanna go into that), faster, with closed loop control (sick!), actively heated chamber, it has lasers to record precise z height to make sure it restarts correctly after a power failure, and it costs about the same as a x1c. And I'm not sh-tting on bambulabs mind you, I own their printers and they're great. I'm just sick of everything being "just another x clone" with every printer that comes out. Exactly what people (me included, it's a valid concern) said about the bambus two years ago, lol.
9:50 i’ve seen some testing by a few people that suggest you really shouldn’t rely the carbon filter printers like that come with. Can give people a false sense of security when they should have active ventilation.
Air with fumes will only go through the filter once and thus only a fraction will be absorbed by the carbon. You would need a recirculating filter with charcoal fan to have a hope of capturing almost all of it.
I like the subtle touch at 6:55.. they have a JBL speaker on the wall next to the Jackery.. 99% sure they chose it because they use a very similar orange for their logo
Can it tell the difference between a sock and a gun? Because a robot vac with an arm that picks up obstacles will eventually pick up something it shouldn’t. Can it detect dog poo and keep itself from smearing it everywhere?
Well considering most even compact handguns are too heavy for robo-vac to pic up, and if you own guns you shouldn't just toss them around on the floor - I don't think that is much worry.
@@theangrymarmot8336 yeah the gun thing is a bit weird but the argument for "it will eventually pick up something it shouldn't" does exist I think. Not in a dangerous way but just random stuff that someone might have in the house (toddlers and pets have weird implications sometimes). The dog poo is a valid concern for the product though.
I do like the Aiper added a communications module, but of course, it doesn't actually come with the cleaner. I also don't know how reliable the whole "pool quality monitor" aspect of it is, so I'm not sold on having to most likely pay even more for that functionality to be built in. I was hoping that some companies would follow Wybot's approach and build a charging dock that the robot would automatically use, but it doesn't seem like we're quite there yet. One thing I'd prefer to see them stop pushing is adding pool skimming to the surface cleaners. It may sound like a nice option, but keep in mind that you can buy a pool skimming robot for like $300, and since it charges via solar, it almost never needs to be recharged. Using the pool skim option on the cleaner robot just puts more drain on the battery meaning you have to charge it more often. Given that -- in my experience -- the dedicated robot skimmers work quite well, I don't see the point in using that feature on the pool cleaner. Also, don't waste your money on expensive pool skimmer robots (i.e., Beatbot). I've tried them; they're just not worth it. (I use a Betta SE Plus.) Really, the only reason why I keep looking at pool cleaner robots is the one downside of pool skimming robots... they don't always play well with corded pool cleaners. After my Dolphin M600 died, I went with a slightly cheaper one until I could find one that I really liked. Honestly, the cheaper one actually works fine... except, it lacks one vital feature that I think is a glaring omission even at the "cheap" price of $700... mode selection. For example, if I had some leaves collecting on the bottom of the pool, I would tell the M600 to go into floor mode, and it would back off if it started detecting a wall. The one I have now (Nautilus CC Plus WiFi) does not have that option. It's just a put-it-in-the-pool-and-it-cleans-everything mode.

@Keepskatin yeah I was skeptical of it too. But tbh the other ones I've seen that were 20% were also a Matt finish, they were black so they should absorb more heat but that roof was meant to heat water aswell, hence the Matt black finish
Next product ideas for these robot companies: Smart doors for the robots so closed doors are not an obstacle. Either open entire door or have a slot at bottom that opens. Robot elevator for homes with multiple floors. Smart dumbwaiter? Robot garage furniture or cabinets to hide it away and be more integrated into the house. Robot vacuums that can climb walls and clean windows like a swimming pool robot.
I feel like a pickup bot would sell for instance a robot that works in tandem with your robot vacuums that is essentially a hamper with arms that picks up items and sorts them to their desired locations automatically to help aid the vacuums cleaning process and allow it to focus in its intended function
Ignoring the issue of sorting, that may not be feasible as the weight of objects and the size would easily cause issues. The more it picks up the more battery it would need to use to stop and start which means the running time would be reduced a ton. It is a much better solution to just pick up the item and put it back down. also there is the problem of some items just being too heavy or maybe they are light but just too big for the robot to fit in its bin. Using the arm but no bin solution means they can have the robot simply pick up and relocate an object if it is too large for it to stay out of the way by just picking it up . Although Linus didn't mention that being a feature so IDK if they even have that as an option. I'm just basing that off of solutions I've seen my dog come up with when I ask her to pick up something that is longer than she is tall lol
@ your thinking the bot has to be the same size as the vacuum it also only needs to move and detect not use battery to run its functions like a vacuum it could also do one item at a time with an increased speed to the vacuum as it’s not required to clean the floor only pick it up and obviously the robot wouldn’t be able to lift your couch but it could certainly pick up certain objects and notify you via text or in the app that there is an item it needs help with to ensure the floor is 100% clear for cleaning
@ your also assuming the use of an arm when that is only in place for this model as the front needs to be not obstructed they could make a bot that uses a wedged conveyor belt to drag objects into a hopper to which when it gets full the bot could return to home which is the sorting device for the hopper on the bot don’t think vacuum and it’s capabilities and restrictions think of hamper robot or sorter robot the limitations of a vacuum go away because it’s not the same product and doesn’t have any of the same restrictions or power constraints

Imagine the robot vacuums could fight each in some kind of competition, and maybe flip each over with their robot arms. Even better we could attach buzz saw to the arm!
Those are some pretty interesting products you were looking at there, especially the Jackery solar roofing materials. While not the first to market the competition in this space isn't really that diverse, I haven't even heard mention of Tesla's ambitions for solar roofing in a while.
well then it's just a worse robot vacuum. It would be perfectly fine if these robot vacuums had no way to automatically (or even manually) access the Internet
Even if it's some sort of radar or whatever, that ends up seeing the entirety of your home in order to map it. It's unreasonable to expect them not to have such devices. It's better to ask for them to work without internet access, which the one I own actually does. But you can't change their settings without internet (since you need to connect via the app), so that's something they could work upon.
Jackery's output is only 60 amps at 120v. If we were talking twice that, then we'll be golden. However, it should be fine to run a couple fridges/freezers and charge some devices. Also, the SHOKZ don't use bone conducting tech like the OpenRuns. They're speakers really close to your ears. My SIL was pissed when she found this out after she bought them. Turns out people can hear what your listening to as opposed to the old style.
A robot vacuum/mop is my dream. I have 9 dogs and having a farm house I never seem to keep up. Hopefully one day these will be affordable for an everyday household.

I woke up 3 quarters of the way of this ad why is it so long?
Can it distinguish the difference between a pile of poop or a shock before it attempts to pick it up? Lol
my first robo vacuum was defeated by black stripes on my rug
With this, we may finally get to robot vacuums that can clean base boards, table and chair legs, etc. beyond simple attachements like on the recent Narwall. Looking forward to reviews.
Don't think the regular 10 uses starsight though..
Since I got the roborock s5 I just can't live without it.
Some cool tech in this video. But all this stuff together costs as much as a house
Hard to believe VideoBob is trying to (and successfully) rip off State Farm and Aiper by blaming his house fire on his Aiper pool cleaner even though he's the one that tampered with the charging port. I really hope Aiper succeeds in all they do.
>Shokz 2
Cool, I can upgrade my shokz 1, they sound amazing by the way
Linus probably made a bet on how many sponsors he could get for a single video
3D printing is getting so cool.
I do love Shokz. Great for wearing fancy earings.
idk why but watching this video gives "Interdimensional TV" vibes lol
Creality: Can I copy your homework?
Bambu Lab: Sure, just don't make it obvious
Creality:
To be fair, there's only so many ways you can make "fast 3d print box" yk?
Love the reference to the DAN show bell at 00:29
