i reccomend going for it, there is a lot of documentation arround and people with advice, as well as access to all the vanilla and downpour rooms for refference, its normal to be lost at first.
its so stinkin cool to make rooms in rain worlds aesthetic relatively easily. just started using it today, making a region im calling Twisted Gardens, we'll see how far I'll get
I have a feeling that if I took the time to learn how to do rooms this well then I could throw out some pretty interesting regions.. A region name I think could work well somewhere is called Solar Fields. A place that was once connected to an Iterator but has corroded away over time an fell off the can
At first I thought this was that room in the industrial complex, the left side, under a room with shelter. The outline was very similar😅 Also, amazing work
Just want to ask if this is a trial and error way of learning how to create a region mod or is there a tutorial you used? Because i can barely find up to date tutorials.
ask on the discord, or watch a tutorial. "up to date" doesnt really matter since the editor has been the same for years, the new versions just add bugfixes, more cosmetics to use and some shortcuts to do things faster, nothing that invalidates the old guides
note that some tiles ignore blackgoo which can be handy. materials like small/dense pipes, randommachines, circuits, 3Dbricks and Trash will always be vissible. Lots of tiles are also vissible through blackgoo, if not most tiles. Iterestingly the big 6x6 vent in the bottom left has the unique property of only the corners being inmune to blackgoo because of the corners being a sublayer behind, thats why you see them in game partially covered in some rooms, if you wanna fully cover it you can use largetrash since its a very agressive material which gets covered by blackgoo. This often happens because these tiles have multiple layers, making them also interact with water by letting it sink inside of its design.
Dang, me and my friend were planning on trying to make a region mod with no previous knowledge of anything, but this is... jeez. It looks amazing!

I've always wondered how other people made rooms, this is cool!

I absolutely LOVE what you do with the lighting!! I always forget about the lighting tab and the way you do it looks SO GOOD!!!
never underestimate light, the slightest random shapes can make a room look 20 times cooler
I thought one room was easy to make and i was skiping rooms in custom region without thinking that it took months or years. Respect.

man this is amazing! i wish i had the time to learn how to mod rw but i don't unfortunetley
Reminds me of a room in industrial
This was really cool. Makes me want to try my hand at a few levels myself.
i actually thought that to make room decoration you had to do pixel art LOL
Please make more of these I love them so much
I'm curious if you could do one of these time lapses with a multi-screen room? Thanks again for a great video!
I wanna make my own region, but I don’t trust myself enough to not either break Rainworld or downloading a virus while looking for the region maker
rusted quackery
very nice! i follow a different build process so i found this very interesting (good choice on using lonesound)
You should make make my room like that,,,

How'd you make the surrounding wall black and textureless?
blackgoo, you can see the effects being applied in order
@@jevmenyt3422Thanks

with the level editor
@@jevmenyt3422 but how you get level editor is that a mod?
the link to download it is in like 200 places, you will find it. its NOT a mod, is not run by the game, is external
what region is this
I wish i had the patience (and creativity) to do cool stuff like this 🥲
